"VISUALIZE" by Dotti Holmberg (Sometimes Happy Times CD)
I wrote "Visualize" in the late Sixties. This recording is a demo I cut with my guitarist, Randy Garcia, and his neighbor "Sam" who played the keyboard & percussion & we recorded it on my Grundig four track recorder. After The Goldebriars disbanned, I began writing many songs. This song was given it's title by my birth mom that I first met (since 7 months old) in Los Angeles in my early 20's (I was born in Los Angeles, along with my sister Sheri & Brother Gary but our mom & dad divorced and we kids were put on a train to Minnesota & our mom stayed in California). I sang her the song on the phone and she said to name it "Visualize". This same song is on my "Stop & Think" CD by The Right Choice Kids, my 90's music group, under the name "Looking Glass".

"LAST TWO PEOPLE ON EARTH" by The Goldebriars
This song is symbolic to me (Dotti) as it points to love & hope in Gaia's current sea of change. Sometimes we get to start over together & create a Golden Age from lessons learned.
Recorded in 1965 by The Goldebriars in NYC Columbia Studios. Unreleased due to the group disbanning. Released first time in 2006 by Sony with CD title “Climbing Stars The Goldebriars”.

"GOD'S GRACE" Dotti Holmberg's Christmas Message
With the world pretty much upside down now, I always try to rise above the turmoil and to seek shelter in God's Love. I wanted to share my poem "God's Grace" to help inspire others to rise above whatever troubles you might be facing and to move forward with a hopeful perspective. The soundtrack is from my song "Say Yes to Life". Here's praying our holidays worldwide are safe and that may we all face the New Year with a newly found happiness and abundance for all.

The Goldebriars sing "Saro Jane" on the 1964 Hootenanny Show
ABC Hootenanny Show - The Goldebriars sing "Saro Jane"
January 1964
Knoxville Tennessee -- Episode 31 Filming
Right to Use 1964 Vintage Movie Clip—
Washington D.C. Copyright Office Status Search #2004400226*
This vintage black and white film was obtained in the early 1990s from Dawn Eden; she graciously provided Sheri Holmbeg & I (Dotti Holmberg) a copy of The GoldeBriars' performance in video format which I used in my GoldeBriars eBook story: "Whatever Happened to Jezebel?"
"Saro Jane" performed by The GoldeBriars for this show is a "traditional song" and can be traced back to the 19th century as an old sea chantey. ("Traditional" means that the original versions of these songs have long since outlived their period of copyright, if indeed they ever were copyrighted. Most of them go back far in time for convincing traces of initial authorship. Their domain is truly public.)
Quote from "The GoldeBriars' Story: Whatever Happened to Jezebel" "The ABC-TV Network show "Hootenanny Show" which helped feed the folk craze, invited the GoldeBriars on their show when they were filming in Knoxville, Tennessee. We were all shaking in our boots to be doing our first national program but enjoyed the experience, which was good and bad. We were happy when we were to do one of our favorite songs, "Saro Jane", but not when our instrumental introduction was eliminated because of rigid schedules and not when our song was changed vocally for staging purposes so we didn't feel we were able to do our best...our sound should never have been compromised for any program!"

"HOPSCOTCH" by Dotti Holmberg of The Goldebriars
Produced by Curt Boettcher for Our Productions in 1966. Recorded in Columbia Studios in Hollywood, CA. After The Goldebriars disbanned in 1965, Curt asked me to record as a single artist for Our Productions. Little did I know at the time that the bass player on my session of Jerry Scheff best known for his work with Elvis Presley from 1969 to 1977 as a member of his TCB Band and on the Doors ' L.A. Woman.
At this time, I had penned quite a few songs and 2 of mine were chosen to record--Hopscotch & It's Not Worth It At All. Shortly after I finished recording 5 songs, the company went bankrupt and folded. The other four recordings included as vocal background singers my brother, Gary, & sister, Sheri.
