Kenny Weldon started boxing as an amateur in Houston in 1953. A native of Galena Park, Texas, Kenny had an amateur record of 216-11, winning 4 Houston Golden Gloves Titles in the process and also competing in the State and National Golden Gloves Tournaments as well as the Pan American Games, before turning pro in 1968. As a pro, Kenny went 50-7-1 claiming the Texas Featherweight Title and N.A.B.F. Super Featherweight title before retiring as a fighter in 1978.
Kenny’s greatest accomplishments, however, came as a coach. The program he established at The Galena Park Boxing Academy produced 316 Houston Golden Gloves Champions, 51 Texas State Amateur Champions, 17 National Amateur Champions, 3 Pan Am Medalists, and 3 Olympians. Kenny also served as a coach for The U.S. Olympic Team in 1988.
As a professional coach, Kenny cornered 18 world title fights with Hall of Famers such as Evander Holyfield, Vinny Pazienza, Orlando Canizales, Mike McCallum, Raul Marquez and Pernell Whitaker, as well as local legends like Wilford Scypion, Termite Watkins, Mike Phelps, James Pipps, Joel Perez, Stephen Martinez and Lewis Wood.

In 2003, Paul became a World All-Around Champion and also a World Champion on the Floor Exercise. In the 2004 Athens Olympics, Paul became the first American to win the coveted All-Around gold medal. Paul has spent his life dedicated to mastering the complicated techniques in gymnastics. He has coached all levels from beginner to elite. Paul now coaches gymnasts throughout the country utilizing state of the art video analysis technology. Paul Hamm was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 2018.

One of the greatest coaching careers in the history of collegiate sports came to an end following the 2012 season, as Al Scates retired from coaching at UCLA. Scates left an unmatched legacy of success, longevity and influence in collegiate men's volleyball. Al Scates and UCLA volleyball won NCAA championships in 1970-71-72-74-75-76-79-81- 82-83-84-87-89-93-95-96-98-2000-06. He was named Coach of the Year in 1984, '87, '93, '96, '98 and 2006.
Scates' 50-year coaching record of 1,239-290 (.812) is one of the best in collegiate sports. When he retired that record ranked first among all Division I volleyball coaches. In addition to their 19 NCAA titles, the Bruins also won USVBA collegiate championships in 1965 and '67 under Scates' stewardship. During his six decades at UCLA, he coached 54 different first-team NCAA and 26 USVBA All-Americans, 44 U.S. National Team members, 27 Olympians and seven different Players of the Year. On Dec. 16, 2004, Al Scates was inducted into the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Hall of Fame.

Brian Smith has been the Head Wrestling Coach at the University of Missouri since 1998. With a .736 career winning percentage, Smith holds the highest winning percentage in Mizzou wrestling history. Smith earned six consecutive conference Coach of the Year honors. Additionally, Smith has been honored as the top wrestling coach in the NCAA twice in his career. He is considered to be one of the most technical coaches in collegiate wrestling. Several of Smith's former wrestlers have gone on to excel in MMA (mixed martial arts), including Michael Chandler Jr., Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren. Smith also was the college coach of J'den Cox, three-time NCAA wrestling champion and a four-time All-American. Cox went on to win a bronze medal at the Rio Olympics (2016) and back-to-back World Championships.

In 2013, Hendry Winarto became the Head Badminton Coach of ClearOne Sports Centre in Orlando, Florida. Recently, Hendry became the coach at Triangle Badminton and Table Tennis in Morrisville, North Carolina.
