40-Romans: Though Many, One-Full Service
If sinning brought about more blessings, would you sin more to attain more blessings? It seems like this would be the best of both worlds, but Paul and the Holy Spirit writing through him disagree. So join us as we head into Romans chapter 6.

39-Romans: Living Sacrifices-Full Service
This week, we dive into Romans chapter 12. One of the most beloved chapters, not just in the book of Romans, but the entirety of the Bible, and we’ll see as we begin that we as believers are to be…Living Sacrifices.

38-Romans:His Faithfulness Part 3-Full Service
Last week, we learned that We, as believers in Christ, have been grafted into the “Olive Tree” that is the family of Abraham.
But we also saw that Some branches have been removed. These were those who, though biologically of Abraham, never shared in His same faith in the One true God...

37-Romans: His Faithfulness Part 2-Message Only
For centuries, Israel had been unfaithful to the Lord, who had chosen them as His people, yet He refuses to cast them aside. How will God reach Israel? How will the Gentiles be blessed? The picture becomes clearer this week in His Faithfulness Part 2,

36-Romans:His Faithfulness Part 1-Full Service
For many of us, if we’ve invested considerable resources attempting to convince someone of something and are repeatedly rebuffed, we might give up. Cast that person or persons from our lives and have nothing more to do with them.
So, for a people, Israel, who have for centuries been disobedient and contrary to the work of God. A people who had crucified (killed) the Messiah, the Christ they had long awaited…Of these people, Paul asks as we enter chapter 11…
11 …has God cast away His people?
This week, we begin Romans chapter 11 with a discussion of "His Faithfulness."

35-Romans: Preachers Needed
Last week, we discussed Paul’s desire for his Jewish brothers to come to a saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He once again affirmed that attempts to work one's way into God’s good grace by keeping the law would never succeed, that it was only through confessing and believing in the Lord Jesus Christ that one might be saved, regardless of the biological lineage one may possess. No matter how much you think, you might be right before God in human terms.

34-Romans: Confess & Believe-Full Service
This week, we return to the book of Romans.
When we last left chapter 9, we’d seen Paul’s heart for his countrymen, the Jews, whom he desired to be saved through faith in Christ, for he recognized that many of them held to their lineage of children of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as though this somehow gave them direct access to eternity with God, but Paul recognized the truth that they (and we) need to Confess & Believe.

32-Romans: Jacob and Esau-Message Only
Whereas Romans 8 is often seen as one of the most beloved chapters in the Bible, Romans 9 is one of the most controversial. The language of Chapter 8 was full of assurance. Chapter 9, by contrast, if taken out of context, can breed immense confusion and uncertainty. As we begin, I want us to remember the repeated assurances we have been given in Romans thus far, specifically in Chapter 8. But also remember these two verses we'll cover in more detail as we get into Chapter 10.
"9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation." -Romans 10:9-10

31-Romans: Next Level Assurance-Full Service
When we left Romans 7, Paul left us with this gem of a verse:
“24 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?”
Does anyone here relate to this statement? I know I can. Thankfully this is different from where the chapter ends.
“25 I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!”
This then launched us into one of the, if not the greatest, chapters in the Bible for those who are walking with the Lord Jesus Christ, for those walking with the Holy Spirit of God. Romans Chapter 8.
Today we conclude Chapter 8 with Next Level Assurance.

30-Romans: Assurance Part 1-Full Service
This past week we learned that not only are we as sinful humans suffering, or agonizing, because of sin's entrance into the world, but that the whole of creations also suffers along with humanity and awaits the day when all things will be made new. As we wait and suffer, we have assurance in the here and now that all things will work together for good.

29-Romans: All Things New-Full Service
We ended our last message, “Adopted Heirs,” in Romans 8:17 with Paul stating:
17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. -Romans 8:17
We continue, this week, into verse 18, and following, with the theme of “suffering.” On our journey to the glorious truth that our King and Father will one day make "All Things New."

Deborah Jean Coon Augustine -Memorial
Deborah Jean Coon Augustine was sent to Heaven on July 4th, 2023, at 12:45 AM in the presence of her loved ones. She was born on April 27th, 1954, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Deborah was affectionately known by her grandchildren as “Grandma Reb.” For part of her life, she was known for her real estate prowess. She also enjoyed time with her grandchildren and children. She was a University of Utah graduate who enjoyed watching Utah football and basketball games with her family. Further, she found immense joy in watching her family’s sporting events. She loved her husband, Dean, and loved the Lord. To her final breath, she praised the Lord through song and the lifting of her hands. She was a devout prayer warrior who unashamedly had the deepest desire for all to find the most meaningful relationship known to humankind: a relationship with Jesus Christ of the Bible. Unapologetic about her attempts to help others find Christ, she would frequently pass out tracts as well as say a prayer of salvation, leading to a relationship with Jesus Christ with anyone who was willing.
Grandma Reb is survived by her loving husband, Dean; her children, Melonie, Jonathan, Matthew, Joshua, and Jordan; her twelve grandchildren: Paishence, Mariahna, Sophia, Esther, Ezekiel, Anneke, Cody, Olivia, Lillian, Jeremiah, Rayna, and Jaycie; and numerous others who came to know her as a motherly figure. If there was a chance to worship, see her children, or see her grandchildren, Grandma Reb wanted to be there.
She is preceded in death by her father, LaMar Coon; her mother, Shirley Coon; and her sister, Patricia Coon.
Funeral services will be held at Sonrise Baptist Church (3550 S 4400 W, West Valley City, UT 84120) on Sunday, July 9th, at 4 PM. The viewing is also at Sonrise Baptist Church on Saturday, July 8th, from 6 PM – 8 PM. Graveside service is at West Jordan Cemetery (7925 S 1300 W, West Jordan, UT 84088) at 10 AM on Monday, July 10th.
Flowers are acceptable, and donations to the Pregnancy Resource Center are appreciated (pregnancyresource.net)
