LANDING on the Moon
Apollo 11 was the historic mission in 1969 that successfully landed the first humans, Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, on the moon. Armstrong's famous words upon stepping onto the lunar surface were, "That's one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind." Michael Collins remained in orbit around the moon in the command module. The mission marked a significant achievement in space exploration and was a pivotal moment in human history.

The sun observed through NASA's interface region imaging spectrograph.
The video captured through NASA's Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS) showcases the sun's dynamic interface region. It reveals intricate details of the sun's outer atmosphere, where complex interactions between magnetic fields and plasma create various features such as spicules, prominences, and coronal loops. The high-resolution spectrograph provides insights into the temperature, density, and velocity of the materials in this region, helping scientists better understand the processes that drive solar activity and space weather.
