A chilly start to the day sees me working up a sweat trying to peel a log. I take the afternoon to burn a little brush and finish out the day with a couple small steaks on the campfire. I could really get use to this!

Hiya folks! so, earlier we took a winter trip to Homer Alaska, this week we are taking a summer trip. Did you know that the end of the Homer spit is one of the farthest west spots you can drive in North America? Alaska holds the record for the farthest North, West and East on the North American continent!

The tree cutting begins in earnest this week! I am starting to get in better shape so I am going to town on these things!

Over the next few months i will be living in a tent on weekends and working weekdays after the regular job, felling trees for the cabin pad, the driveway and the parking area for the trailer that I ill be living in until the cabin is complete. Will I get this done before winter hits??? we will see...
