This week we leave our anchorage in Church Creek, just south of Charleston, and make our way down North Edisto River where we take the Dawho River to Watts Cut which spills into South Edisto River where we anchor for the night. From there we take a series of cuts; Fenwick, Ashepoo-Coosaw and Ashe Island which gets us to Coosaw River and Beaufort, SC. We leave Beaufort and make our way across Port Royal Sound and behind Hilton Head Island where we anchor for a few days just off Calibogue Sound in Bull Creek. After spending four days anchored in Prince Creek we make our way to the Wacca Wache Marina to refill our diesel and water and to drop off a few bags of trash. From there we make our way down Waccamaw River and cross Winyah Bay after which we anchor for the night in South Santee River. The next day we make our way to Charleston, SC, where we anchor for three days in Dewees Creek. We then make our way thru a shallow section of the ICW and navigate the Elliott Cut which has the strongest current in all of the ICW. We finally anchor south of Charleston in Church Creek. After spending a night anchored in Wrightsville Beach we take Snow's Cut to Cape Fear River and jump back on the ICW in Southport where we anchor for the night in Dutchman's Creek. The next day we jump back on the ICW and navigate several inlets on the way to Calabash Creek where we stay for the night. The next day we head thru North Myrtle Beach and Myrtle Beach as we navigate our way thru the Rock Pile on our way to the Waccamaw River and Prince Creek where we planned on staying 3-4 days to get a bunch of laundry done. This week I fly the drone over to Fort Macon and check out the area of ocean where Blackbeard's ship Queen Anne's Revenge was run aground and the subsequent wreckage was found in 1996. From there we head down Bogue Sound, go thru the Camp Lejune firing range where we anchor for the evening at Mile Hammock Bay. We then head down the coast where we navigate bridge schedules and stay for the night in Wrightsville Beach.
