Seven Clever Kids gang members arrested after police chase on Jan Smuts Road
Undercover police caught members of the Clever Kids gang yesterday on Jan Smuts Road, who attempted to shoot at the Hard Livings gang in Manenberg. Officers spotted the taxi and as they approached the taxi sped off and a chase pursued. The taxi was pulled over and a firearm was found in possession of the one Clever Kids. Police also confiscated the firearm of the driver who is a lawful firearm owner. A total of 7 Clever Kids gang members were arrested as well as the driver of the taxi. Police are investigating a case of possession of a prohibited firearm and ammunition. Drugs were also found in their possession.
