Peterbilt windshields come from the factory with butyl tape as the seal but some installers don't use it. Leaking windshields can short out electronics in the dash that can cost thousands of dollars. USE THE BUTYL!!!!

Probably not the safest thing to do but it's fun to see your car like a video game. Real time action so I guess it's not that unsafe.
