Near the end of Summer you will spot a variety of Blue Jays (and Northern Cardinals) with bald heads. This is a very common occurrence in late July and August. The birds are not sick or dying. I keep finding small balls of chewed up food on the feeders and thought maybe it was the raccoons. After watching the nighttime livestream, I discovered it was from the opossum. Does anyone know why they do this? I've googled everywhere, but cannot find an answer.
