Ever want to just start over?
I'm going back to the design board and, starting from scatch, I'm going to design the Beta brand and skin. If there's time I will build it, I may even install it, and I'll regret it because it pushes the project back. However, I lost the plot in terms of design direction, I've been winging and things don't feel great now. Let see if I can do any better now that I've set with the project a bit.

Content Requests & Chill - A mostly LoFi coding session
I cheated and built the user chat out off air, it was a busy week and also I didn't feel like working at my desk. I'm back at it again. Let's take this Project to alpha this weekend by knocking out the rest of the features and doing some tests. LFG!

Cleaning things up before moving forward
I wrote out a long description, but the livestream failed to setup and I lost it so I'm just going to say that we are pretty far into this project. Websockets are giving me pause. My goal this stream is to comb through the user journey as I have it and do my best to shape out the experience. We'll look at the user interface design and intuition, routing, error handling, and convenience.

Notification Systems & Profiles
It's been a wild and crazy week. We are just lacking a notification system, the messaging system, and maybe two more apps. We're going to have to go through the templates and give them another poke soon, and the profile template needs some love. Let see where things go!

Templates and Function Mapping
The first go at developing a chat system did not go great. We spent a lot of time, last stream, going over Django Channels documentation and discussing websockets. The tests went great but it didn't make it to our project. I'm switching gears. I'll be working on templates and doing some function mapping this morning.
Don't forget to leave a like, and drop a request in the chat. If you want my opinions on anything tech related, just ask!

Django Channels & Sockets - How TF do DM's work?
I need a chat system and I heard that, in terms of Django, Channels is the package to use. We'll need to start a sample project to try it out. I'm going to crawl through the docs and attempt to set up a functioning messaging system. Let's go!

80 hours later...
In the last 80 hours we've initiated a Wagtail version of a Python Django Cookiecutter project. We've created user roles and routes that are shaping the functionality. 20+ hours have gone into swapping out the theme/templates and upgrading the dashboard. We have a contract system and job posting abilities. We left off with the task of notifying the client when a contractor bids on their posted job. Here we go!

Python/Django Programming & Chat
We have managed to catalog every aspect of this application development job so far. It's late, Let's have a chill stream where we work out some of the feature business logic. shhh.

Last episode we installed my custom html/css theme into the django/wagtail project, and then we got to work building the user interface. I did a little bit of work behind the scene. This episode We are finishing up template integration, cleaning up views, checking permissions and routing, and then we'll continue with the functionality!

We now have my super special framework plugged into the project, and the framework variables are wired into a Wagtail settings model that is controlled from the Wagtail dashboard. In this episode, we want to build out the navigation and fill it with the links we need so we aren't manually entering urls to traverse the pages of this application. We will probably get to cleaning up the app templates, and maybe even move back into the application function for contracts.

Template time. I've had enough of the rough stuff. I'm going to import and install my custom framework, transform and fill out all of the templates, break down some forms, plugging in the navigation, and overall we can now shape out a user interface. I'll need to fill ot the wagtail cms at some point, and will need my framework for those templates, but we are going to create a model and give it to the wagtail admin to control the style guide!

Last episode we cut a path for the Contract model to be managed by the client. We ended with the Position model, which I plan to finish up now! Lesgo!

Last time, on this project, we made an application and approval/rejection system, and a dashboard for the admin. I've done a small amount of work behind the scene, building out the contract system. I'm going to be finishing the contract system, possibly touching on the invite send/approve/reject functions surround the contracts system, and I'm going to dig into the templates and navigation by installing my custom build framework. Lesgo!

Graphic Design and Animated Stuff
In the first stream we figured out how to create animated GIF's in Adobe Animate CC. Last stream, we learned a little but about QR codes and how to customize them while improving our animation skills. This stream we are going to go back to the first animated GIF and redo it in a square format and update the QR code to a custom code that does not go through a third-party redirect.
