CCTV footage released of Jerusalem car ramming attack
Three people have been injured in Jerusalem after being deliberately rammed by a car. CCTV footage of the attack shows a white car speeding onto the sidewalk and plowing into several pedestrians who were dressed in ultra-orthodox Jewish clothing, throwing the three victims into the air. However, the ordeal was not over. Afterward, the attackers exited the vehicle with a submachine gun and appeared to chase after the victims, but police reported that the makeshift gun jammed, and the three victims escaped with only minor injuries.
Local police later announced the arrest of two suspects responsible for the attack, reportedly a pair of Palestinian teenagers and released the CCTV footage. It appears that the pair were attempting to target jews on the eve of Passover.

Seattle police gun down suspected pedophile in sting op
A 67-year-old alleged pedophile turned up at a hotel room in search of two young girls. Instead, he found three police officers and a fatal hail of bullets. The Seattle Police Department (SPD) released the intense bodycam footage of the incident, showing the gruesome sting operation gone awry and its inevitable conclusion.
The suspect had arrived at the DoubleTree Suites hotel in Tukwila under the impression that he was meeting two young girls, ages 7 and 11. He was in fact caught in an elaborate sting operation by undercover officers from the Washington State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. When the suspect saw police opening the door he immediately pulled out a gun. A brief scuffle ensued, and the suspect’s gun discharged, grazing one of the officer’s legs. Police responded with gunfire of their own, emptying at least a dozen rounds into the suspect, killing him almost instantly.
The SPD has defended the actions of the officers, with Seattle Chief of Police Adrian Diaz stating that ‘for our officers, these situations are dangerous, unpredictable, and can escalate rapidly.’

‘Once in 50 years’ floods affect millions in China's Guangdong
Heavy rainfall has caused some of China’s most extreme flooding in decades, displacing more than 110,000 people and affecting millions. The rainfall occurred in Guangdong, China's most populous province, leaving four dead and 10 missing, according to state media reports. Videos and images shared online depict large areas submerged in floodwater, with rescuers using lifeboats to assist people navigating waist-deep water. Major rivers have overflowed their banks, and authorities are closely monitoring water levels, fearing potentially record-breaking peaks.
The Pearl River delta, where much of Guangdong is located, is especially susceptible to flooding due to rising sea levels and storm surges. Although scenes like this are rare, Chinese officials warned water levels in the river could reach a ‘once in 100 years’ peak, although this was later downgraded to '‘once in 50 years’. This region is critical to China's manufacturing sector and is densely populated, with over 127 million residents in Guangdong alone. Cities like Guangzhou, Shaoguan, and Heyuan have been severely affected, with power outages impacting over a million households for a short time. Schools have closed in many areas, and significant damage to homes and infrastructure has been reported. Chinese meteorological authorities have warned of continued heavy rainfall in Guangdong and neighboring provinces, with other regions like Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei also expecting substantial rain in the coming days.
These floods come mere days after the surprise flooding in Dubai, which some believe to be a result of cloud seeding tech gone awry.

Ukraine: There's no arms smuggling here; Ukrainian soldiers: Lol, watch us
While Kiev claims that there is no arms smuggling in their country, two Ukrainian soldiers with a car filled with ammunition opened fire at a police checkpoint. Apparently, the two men were simply going for a walk with a sh*tload of weapons or something, right?

Illegal block party mass shooting kills at least 2
The relative peace and tranquility of a car popping donuts at an illegal block party in Memphis, Tennessee was shattered by an unexpected hail of several hundred bullets. The block party was being held in Orange Mound Park when, according to mobile phone footage and the police, two unidentified men began shooting for no well explained reason, sending the 300 attendees (or so) into a blind panic.
Memphis police responded to the scene and confirmed five people were shot; however, the casualty figures fluctuated wildly as the story unfolded. Police later reported that eleven were injured, three of whom were taken to a hospital, and that two additional people had died. These numbers were then erroneously reported as sixteen injuries total by the media. Later recounts show that there were, in fact, six injured and two dead. Police are hunting for two suspects in relation to the incident, although that number may change as more information becomes available.

German-made Ukrainian Leopard tank to become Russian exhibit
A German-made Leopard tank seized in Ukraine will have a new life as an exhibit, according to reports. Footage shared on Sunday by the Solovyov Live Telegram channel appears to show the tank being towed through an undisclosed location, relatively intact but missing its tracks, which the channel says had to be taken off with explosives to get the tank moving.
The tank will reportedly be displayed at a theme park outside Moscow, and could go on display as early as this summer.
Germany has donated 18 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine so far, of which a quarter have reportedly been lost, with others out of use due to repair and maintenance issues.

‘Good Samaritans’ pull driver from fiery crash
A group of ‘Good Samaritans’ pulled a trapped driver from a burning vehicle on Thursday, just moments before the driver would have succumbed to a gruesome and fiery death. The driver had somehow crashed through a guardrail in St. Paul, Minnesota, with the car bursting into flames shortly afterwards. Said guardrail now blocked both driver’s side doors from opening, with the flames blocking everywhere else. As drivers realized the horror that was unfolding, several stopped to rush to help. Kadir Tolla was one of them, and his dashcam filmed the entire ordeal.
The group attempted to smash the car’s windows, but to no avail. They tried prying the doors open, but to no avail. They tried rocking the guardrail back and forth to break it away, but to no avail. Another rescuer turned up, armed with a fluorescent jacket and a hammer, but the flames seemed to be winning. The hammer was victorious against the window, and the driver was pulled from the car moments before fire would claim his vehicle forever. He was taken to a hospital, surprisingly with only minor injuries. Most of the rescuers will remain anonymous, but surely never forgotten.

Hindu worshippers throw flaming palms at each other to honor goddess of war
Mangaluru, India saw temperatures soar on Sunday, as devotees gathered to casually yeet fire at each other. The annual ‘Agni Keli’ festival honors Durga, the Hindu goddess of war, and involves doing battle with flaming palm fronds, protected from the searing heat by nothing but a dhoti.
It may look chaotic but the battle is extremely well organized, and there are even ‘referees’ on hand to stop foul play, and to treat any injuries with holy water.

Let's Talk Bharat | India to reap demographic dividends - Ashish Chauhan
In this episode of Let’s Talk Bharat, Anupam Kher is joined by Ashish Chauhan, the head of the National Stock Exchange and chancellor of the University of Allahabad. The technocrat is optimistic about Bharat’s growth story over the next 40 years because of its large young population as compared to a graying Europe and the US. He feels confident that for the first time in his lifetime, the nation controls the circumstances and not the other way around. He cites inclusive growth as a case in point as a bulk of the country’s rural population is enjoying the benefits of technological advancements such as the mobile telephony revolution that has transformed their daily lives.
