Hog Hunting Light
I rebuilt my night time hog hunting light with a solar charger into a more compact and efficient setup. This will help add some light for the game cam and also help me see the feeder area on the property even in low illume nights where night vision is almost useless without an IR light. Green and red light seem to be the consensus on light colors to use with hogs so not to spook them and the green lights I used use much less power than the red lights on the previous build.
With the setup, aside from a potential bad battery, for about $50, I should never need to change out batteries which means less time walking through my hunting area getting my scent all over and more time hunting hogs.

2013 Dodge Dart P0299 Underboost Code Part 2
"repaired" the damaged parts while I wait for new parts to come in the mail after realizing the dealer ship would cost $550 in parts alone. Here's some quick fixes that will get you back on the road if you run into similar issues like I did.
Some cheap 1/4 inch vacuum line from O'reilly's works great as a replacement and a little bit of RTV sealant wrapped tightly with electrical tape should hold the spit pipe until the new silicone elbow can come in.

2013 Dodge Dart P0299 Underboost Code
My 2013 Dodge Dart has been throwing the P0299 underboost code. I can hear a significant "boost" noise near the firewall, but I hadn't found any loose connections that might present a boost leak. I didn't think it was the turbo because it would create boost after I restarted the engine, so I built a custom pressure tester to figure out what the issue is, if I'll need to bight the bullet and replace the turbo or is there a failure within the intake system.
Anyone with a turbo'd vehicle should make one of these tools so they can quickly identify boost leaks. it's easily saved me a few hundred dollars just in diagnosing the problem.

LONG 1199a Backhoe attachment Restoration Part 1
I picked up a Long 1199a backhoe for $550. It's been sitting for over 20 years and just about ever part needs to be gone through but the brand is out of business and you can't find parts anymore. Will this thing live to see another day or will it even be worth its weight in steel.
