TTLR EP536: Siaka Massaquoi - Doing What's Right
“I want to give everyone permission to stand for what they know is right because you will be surprised when you step out that door who you’ll meet, how that will build, and what type of strong foundation that will come with.”
Inspired by ‘those in the fight’, Siaka Massaquoi found that powerful role models can ignite fires in us, giving us the clarity and courage to make life-changing decisions. During a debate in the 2016 US election campaign, Donald Trump’s answer to the question of how US healthcare should be delivered to the people; through ‘free market principles’, Siaka was shocked at this real-world solution that was so easily expressed by a political figure. These words gave Siaka ‘permission’ to start on his own entrepreneurial path.
Siaka is a man of faith who believes in freedom and free expression and he’s built his brand on these principles. As an actor living in LA at a time when these principles were increasingly under attack, Siaka found he had to choose between what he believes in right vs his career. He's a man of principle but that wasn’t the end of his acting career. He went out into the world and found a new venue for his unique skills by talking to the other people who took to the streets, standing up for truth and freedom. In the process, he was introduced to the CEO of PragerU, Marissa Streit, and a video of his later went viral on their platform. He was voted in as vice chair of LA GOP and he now runs a comedy show called WTF (What The Fact), a satire available on Instagram and YouTube. Siaka is committed to bringing faith and conservative based media to the world.

TTLR EP535: TL Nuggets #142 - 10X is easier Than 2X
How many times in a day do you get side tracked by things that have nothing to do with your goals? While some of these are unavoidable, many are things we introduce ourselves, consciously and unconsciously. Dan Sullivan and Benjamin P. Hardy wrote 10x Is Easier Than 2x. It powerfully demonstrates next level innovation through extreme simplification. How to make a qualitative shift in your thinking by focussing on the few things you do need and eliminating everything you don’t need. SMP EP125 - Billou, Arpa, and Lewis - Why Every Man needs A Brotherhood To Belong To
“The strength of the brotherhood is the individual brother. And the strength of that individual brother is the brotherhood.”
It’s too common for men these days to be isolated from a strong community of men. Especially one that pushes you to be a better man. A brotherhood can come in many forms. Lewis is part of the international surfing community where he’s found a unique bond with some men and it’s something available to him as he travels through different parts of the world. Brotherhood happens naturally when we're young but it becomes something we have to maintain or reconnect with as life changes and there are benefits to the kind of brotherhood that’s found outside of family circles. The challenge is for men to prioritize brotherhood despite the pressures of marriage and societal trends that push men to abandon logic and overall sovereignty for the sake of their emotional whims. Those trends are both the cause of men becoming isolated and one of the main reasons why men need a brotherhood.
Men should cook together, eat together, and compete together. Ultimately, a brotherhood will push you beyond your limits and help you face the many challenges of life. Men are warriors but it’s easy to forget. If you don’t have a brotherhood, you can find it in the Sovereign Circle.

SMP EP124: Steve Richmond - The Importance Of Elders
“Disciplines and commitments. Without those men are just wandering around aimlessly.”
“There seems to be a daily choice on which direction to go, as opposed to young men making a commitment to ‘this is what I’m going to do and this is how I’m going to get there’.”
Since the 1960’s, the world has experienced a dramatic change. It started mainly in the United States but has since spread throughout the world. It can be described in many ways but for the sake of this podcast, we’ll say it’s been a movement away from traditions and traditional culture. But our traditions weren’t simply human constructs for the sake of controlling people. They’re reflections of human nature and even nature itself, guided by true faith. As this movement away from traditions reaches the extreme and the many social issues we face prove more and more that we’re heading in the wrong direction, it gets easier to recognize the value and need for the wisdom of our traditions. One of the easiest ways we can carry our traditions forward is to connect with our elders.
Steve Richmond is an expert in men, masculinity and how to tap into their masculinity.
At 62, he found his purpose in coaching men and women to better their lives, relationships and experience greater business success and freedom. Today, Richmond advises the need for men, especially those under 50 to be humble and seek out mentors at least 20 years your senior to learn from their experiences.
The interview revolves around the relentless denigration of elder wisdom in modern society and the dangers posed by uninformed individuals, particularly young men, offering misguided advice. Richmond explains the invaluable life experience rooted in traditional culture and urges younger generations to be humble and engage in meaningful conversation with their elders. Extending to the impact of the feminazi movement, the role of fathers in homes, and the essential need for discipline, commitment, and purpose in a man's life.

TTLR EP527: TL Nuggets #138 - Shawn Baker, MD - Why You Need To Eat Meat!
“We went from the art of medicine to the business practice of disease management.”
Many things need to change in this world but seemingly large groups of emotionally charged people seem to think the answer is a complete abandonment of traditional lifestyles. When it comes to food and health, like everything else it gets complicated. Social issues, corrupt business practices and politics have distorted reality, leaving people confused and fighting amongst themselves over misconceptions and falsehoods. Under pressure from mental health issues, obesity, and others, people who’ve lost hope go to extremes and advocate for a dramatic shift in ideology. They aren’t able to see the simple solutions inherent in nature and reflected in traditions. Basic traditions remain regardless of how complicated society becomes.
Today’s guest believes eating meat is important to humanity and he doesn’t tolerate government mandates that take away people’s freedom to eat what they want and what he feels they should. He mentions regenerative farming as a sustainable solution to the problems with modern cattle production. He was an orthopaedic surgeon and later ran a private practice and he’s learned more than the average person about how a carnivore diet contributes to health. His website https://carnivore.diet and book, The Carnivore Diet support people in the many facets of transitioning to a meat diet.
Shawn is an athlete, author, international speaker, podcast host, and consultant. He appeared twice on Joe Rogan’s podcast, a testament to the success and popularity of the carnivore diet. He’s the co-founder and chief medical officer at Revero, an online clinic that targets the root causes of chronic disease. TTLR EP526: Michael Fosberg - Why Social Media Is Actually Anti-Social
“It's a universal human experience. We're all on this journey of identity. It doesn't stop. It's not like you get to a certain place in your life and you go, ‘that's it I'm done, I know exactly who I am, where I'm going and what I'm doing’.”
“We have more in common than we have differences.”
We all experience a degree of separation from others in our lives. We can be in the same room yet feel worlds apart. Politics and especially our own notions of ourselves and others can complicate the innate connection and familiarity to other human beings. This is fine as a starting point but today’s guest, Michael Fosberg, wants the world to know that great change is possible with a broader point of view. He reminds us that our lives are ever changing and that we’ll never really fully arrive at coming to know ourselves and those around us and curiosity rather than judgement lends itself better to the journey.
In a world where people often argue and disagree, Michael’s message helps us find common ground and bridge gaps, look beyond labels and engage in meaningful conversations that bring people together.
Michael Fosberg is an author, playwright, performer and activist who’s been speaking to national media about race and identity issues for over a decade. He was raised as a white man only to later discover that he has prominent black roots. He worked directly worked with the United Way Worldwide, the FBI, The Boeing Company, The Dept of Homeland Security, Harvard College, Purdue University among others, to reshape the conversation about race, identity, diversity, and inclusion. His memoir; Incognito: An American Odyssey of Race and Self Discovery was published in 2011 and his latest book is, Nobody Wants to Talk About It: Race, Identity, and the Difficulty in Forging Meaningful Conversations.
