A powerful earthquake struck western Mexico on Monday, killing at least one person, damaging buildings and knocking out power. The quake also sent residents scrambling out onto the streets for safety.

Hurricane Ian hit western Cuba on Tuesday, leaving a trail of destruction, bringing down trees, and cutting power to hundreds of thousands of people as the Category 3 storm trekked across the island with maximum sustained winds of 200 kilometres per hour.

Ukrainian authorities have found at least one mass burial site near Izyum, the recaptured north-eastern city previously occupied by Russian forces. Hundreds of graves have been found in a forest marked with crudely made wooden crosses, most of them only with numbers.

De expositie 'Design & Dynastie' is nog tot en met 28 augustus te zien in het stadsslot in Fulda (fulda2022.de).
