When studying prophecy and eschatology, there are methods of approach to understand the meanings of scripture. There are criteria to consider such as: whether the text is literal, historical context, grammatical context, the objective of a passage, the intent of what is being expressed, things that are symbols or symbolic, and whether a passage is allegorical or parabolic. Do not take your salvation for granted and get complacent lest you engage in spiritual pride. It takes vigilance to stay by the stuff. The prophet Isaiah foretold of Christ, but he also prophesied that there would be people who would not be able to hear and receive the message. Many of Abraham’s seed believed they didn’t need salvation because they had the covenants, the promises, and the law.
