What we know about the Moscow drone attacks -
#BBCNews #rumble
Russia says Ukraine has launched "a terrorist drone attack" on Moscow, with several buildings damaged.
Speaking on Russian state television, Putin claimed the attack on Moscow was a "response" to an air strike against Ukraine's military intelligence agency.
It is the first time Moscow has been so heavily targeted in a single operation, but Ukraine denies carrying out the strikes.
The US has said it does not support the drone attacks in Russia, as Russia's Wagner group hits out at the Kremlin's defence ministry for not doing enough to prevent such attacks

Ukraine war: Russia says UK officials ‘legitimate military targets
Ukraine's long awaited summer offensive - months in the making - isn't yet materialising as expected.
Experts say Kyiv still seems to be relying on drone attacks and showy incursions into Russia for so-called "shaping operations" - without ever acknowledging its direct involvement.
Earlier today the one time Russian president, Dmitry Medvedev called British government ministers “goofy” and said they could be considered legitimate military targets.latest news, Happening Now, CNN, Jim Sciutto, CNN News Central, Fred Pleitgen, Eleni Giokos, Connect The World, Sam Kiley, Russia Ukraine War, Pitin's War, Vladimir Putin, Russia Invasion, Sergei Shoigu, Mykhailo Podolyak, Ukraine Counteroffensive, Belgorod, Belgorod Region, Krasnodar Region, Kyiv, Moscow, Russia Ukraine Border, Russia Military, Ukraine Military, Shebekino, Ilsky oil refinery

How and Why Founders Became Tyrants? #Mark_zuckerberg #Elon_musk
I’m sure you’ve heard about some of the most famous CEOs and visionaries of all time being fired from their own companies. This includes everyone from Steve Jobs and Elon Musk to Travis Kalanick and Jerry Yang. While this understandably leaves founders feeling betrayed, it’s often the right choice as the founders have simply gotten out of line. In many modern companies, however, firing CEOs is simply not possible even if they don’t own a majority stake in the company. This is thanks to something called multi-class stock. Essentially, multi-class stock gives certain shareholders more voting power than others. Founders and early investors brilliantly use this structure to retain more than 50% voting power despite only owning 10 or 15% of the company. Likely the two most notable companies leveraging this strategy are Google and Facebook but they’re by no means the only ones. Most modern tech startups leverage this strategy and even legacy companies are jumping on board. This video explains how founders and CEOs are using multi-class stock to rule companies like tyrants

CIA Whistleblower John Kiriakou: Presidential Pardon Would Cost Me $2 Million
CIA Whistleblower John Kiriakou: Presidential Pardon Would Cost Me $2 Million
Calls are growing for the Justice Department to investigate Donald Trump’s attorney and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani for allegedly plotting to sell presidential pardons during the Trump administration, after his former employee Noelle Dunphy filed a $10 million lawsuit against Giuliani accusing him of sexual assault and other misconduct. The complaint alleges Giuliani “asked Ms. Dunphy if she knew anyone in need of a pardon, telling her that he was selling pardons for $2 million, which he and President Trump would split.” Dunphy is not the first person to publicly reveal this scheme; CIA whistleblower John Kiriakou has previously divulged that he was among those asked to pay up in return for a clean slate. “This lawsuit is the first that I heard that money was supposed to be split with President Trump,” he tells Democracy Now! Kiriakou, who did not ultimately get a pardon, says he was told by a Giuliani aide not to bother with a formal application and that it would be handled informally. “It was all supposed to be hush-hush,” he says

Podcasts Are Taking Over YouTube. But Not For Long? #Elon_Musk
Podcasts have been taking over YouTube. Everyone from finance influencers to fitness influencers suddenly now has a podcast. This may be a bit confusing as the media has constantly been telling us that our attention spans have been shrinking, but podcasts are the exact opposite of short succinct content. One of the main reasons for the explosion of podcasts on YouTube is the departure of Joe Rogan from the platform. It turns out that audiences rarely leave platforms due to one creator. Rather, people tend to find new creators that fill the same void on the same platform. Aside from a massive demand for podcasts, creators have also fallen in love with podcasts due to their simplicity, networking opportunities, and monetizability. But, despite this, it's not clear how much longer the platform can handle so many podcasts as there's only so much time people can spend listening to podcasts. This video explains the monumental rise of podcasts and discusses the uncertain future of the podcasting industry.

US ambassador accuses South Africa of providing arms to Russia
South Africa has been accused of providing weapons to Russia, as Vladimir Putin wages his ongoing invasion of Ukraine.
The United States ambassador to South Africa has claimed a supply chain was set up via a cargo ship docked secretly at a naval base near Cape Town for three days in December.
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said an
investigation was underway into the allegations.
US ambassador Reuben Brigety said the US was certain that weapons were loaded onto the vessel at the Simon's Town naval base and then transported to Russia, according to reports of his comments carried by multiple South African news outlets.
