Testing my new kayak in the South Fork Edisto River, while it's flooding. I'll have better camera angles next time. I haven't taken the catamaran out yet, but I'm loving this simplicity!

Just my little cabin in the woods.

I put in at the HWY #39 boat ramp, in Springfield SC and went upstream. Surprisingly, there weren't any blockages that my kayak couldn't go right over or around. Even with all my gear loaded, food for 2 weeks or so and the solar setup, it still maneuvered and floated awesome!

I put in at Camp Barstow and explored the Clouds Creek inlet. Very cool stream to explore.

Nature is beautiful, all on its own.

The world is on fire, all around us.

It's really cold, but I'm determined to enjoy exploring the lake and testing how the kayak does loaded with all my gear. (It did quite well, far better than expected) Longer adventures coming soon. Subscribe to see more.

This was the most incredible sunrise I've seen and filmed to date. I arrived at the World's Edge entrance while it was still dark and hiked to the lookout point. I setup my tripod and waited. It was so gorgeous that I had to force myself to get what little video I recorded because I didn't want to look away and see it through such a small screen. Like always, the video doesn't even come close to showing the true beauty. If you find yourself near Hendersonville NC, I encourage you to stop and watch a sunrise from World's Edge. Locals will know where it is.

My first kayaking adventure at Lake Murray, South Carolina. It was awesome! Although, I think I still prefer the river, mostly because there aren't any waves and fewer boats. Would be awesome with friends!
