ITS FINALLY HAPPENING. The everest is getting torn down and built up once again. Time to put my fabrication skills to the test. Hoping she's ready to rip by the time the snow falls. Enjoy!

More work to do on the F chassis summit. Installing an MBRP race can, a pipe from a 95 summit, some new carbides for the Simmons skis, and ordering the wrong shock bushings. One way or another she'll be ready by the time the snow flies.

Its time to start updating the 1st gen summit. In this episode we'll be tearing down the donor ZX chassis, dropping the old C7 skid out of the F chassis and installing the SC10-II. In upcoming videos we'll be swapping out the shocks and using the remaining ZX parts to update the Everest project. Enjoy.

Its that time of year again where I start searching the used gun racks for more to add to the collection. Recently came across this old gem and decided to bring her home. Lets get it cleaned up and see if it's still up to the task of putting food on the table. Disclaimer: I am not a gunsmith, nor a self-proclaimed firearms expert. It was a slow start to the season in typical northern Wisconsin fashion. Each year it seems more and more like the deer know when the season starts and promptly go into hiding, but that doesn't stop us from heading out to the woods! As always, persistence is key and eventually our hard work pays off. My filming was a bit sporadic, so please forgive the less than perfect editing.

Picked up another marketplace sled just in time for the snow to melt! My god have mountain sleds come a long way in the past 25 years... Despite being insanely heavy and currently not running, the old girl is in great shape! With a little bit of time, effort, and a small amount of luck I think we'll get her running again.

Just going through my preseason rituals. Going over the guns, sorting through my backpack, bringing in firewood and prepping the stand. Have a few decent bucks on camera, so we'll have to see how the season goes. I wasn't originally going to post this video as the filming was a bit erratic, but here we are. Apologies for the less than quality editing in spots. Enjoy.

Just 20 minutes of snowmobiling. Tipped it over a few times and buried it once or twice but it always powered out. Its actually a capable little machine. I haven't ridden in the better part of 10 years, but after a shaky start i got my legs back and started having fun. I still need to knurl the riser mount to keep the bars from pivoting, soften the front shock and loosen the limiter straps. There is quite a bit of ski pressure, but once i make the suspension adjustments i think it'll even out pretty well. I still have plans to convert the front over to a trailing arm setup, but that probably won't happen until this summer. Enjoy.

I think this is going to wrap up the project for this winter. Hopefully we can spend the remaining winter months out in the snow.

Honestly i'm not surprised. It could've happened for any number of reasons, but my guess is just cheap chinese parts... After diagnosing it seems the start capacitor had failed on the motor. All together, customer service was great and the motor did fail within the warranty period so i was able to get a new one. Hopefully i'll be able to find the correct start cap and i'll have a good spare motor. A fairly simple repair, but altogether a little disheartening that it failed within the first year of light usage. Maybe something to consider for those of you thinking about purchasing one. In this video we'll be straightening out the mess I left you with in part 2. I'll weld up some drop brackets and get the sc10 3 permanently mounted in it's new home. We'll do a little more cleaning and start on polishing the tunnel. After a carb cleaning and some fresh fuel lines we should be able to take it for a test ride! Thanks for watching!

We're getting back into snowmobiles on the channel, but naturally we're gonna stick with old clapped out junk off the sketchy side of marketplace. We're gonna breath some life back into this old 500 fan, update the rear suspension, possibly update the front suspension and go bang some ditches. Come check it out.

The continuation of part 1. Going through the carburetor, cleaning out the fuel tank, beginning the exhaust fabrication and finally getting to hear it run!

I couldn't pass it up... It was missing some ignition components, its dirty as hell, the fuel tank appears to be filled with crude oil and it weighs more than your mom, but I think we can save it! In part 1 we'll look at the ignition system and eliminate the notorious secondary air/throttle valve.

This fall I decided to try running a small trap line and recently had a little success. At this point i'm just trapping for fun and wanted to try my hand at tanning this hide. This is the last project I'll be bringing home for awhile lest my marriage end in divorce... It should be a fun one though! She needs a bit of TLC, we'll have to tear it down to the frame and do some welding, but its nothing we can't handle! All in all I think it'll be a pretty solid little unit after we give it a little love.

Weeeelllllll things got out of hand as usual. At the start I was hoping to go through the fuel system on this little tractor and see if we could get it to run a little better than we did last time. Long story short, the engine is out and on the bench for a rebuild. Enjoy!

I finally have the old index 40H in operating condition. Just testing it out briefly here before we really put it to work. Not to sure what i'll be making with it first, but i'm sure before too long we'll be making chips. Enjoy!
