Surah Kahf — Abdullah Al'Khalaf [Ar-En] [Full] سورة الكهف عبدالله الخلف
The word ‘Tabaraka’ in Quran
The phrase “Tabarakallah” is also used in the Quran as a way of describing Allah’s attributes and characteristics.
1. Surah Mulk Verse 1
Allah says:
تَبَٰرَكَ ٱلَّذِى بِيَدِهِ ٱلۡمُلۡكُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ قَدِيرٌ
Blessed is He in whose hand is dominion, and He is over all things competent.
This verse is a testament to the power and sovereignty of Allah, and it serves as a reminder of His greatness and majesty.
Allah the Exalted glorifies His Noble Self by saying, Blessed be He in Whose Hand is the dominion;
Allah the Exalted glorifies His Noble Self and informs that the dominion is in His Hand.
This means that He deals with all of His creatures however He wishes and there is none who can reverse His decree.
He is not questioned concerning what He does because of His force, His wisdom and His justice.
For this reason Allah says, and He is Able to do all things.

Surah Dukhan — Maher al-Mu'aqily [Ar-En] [Full] سورة الدخان ماهر المعيقلي
1. Ha’. Meem.
2. By the clear Book,
3. Verily We sent it down during a blessed night, for We were to give warning.
4. On that night, all matters are decided on the basis of wisdom,
5. By Our command. Verily, We were to send Messengers
6. As a mercy from your Lord. Verily He is the All-Hearing, All- Knowing,
7. Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you would but be convinced!
8. There is no god but He, He gives life and causes death, your Lord, and the Lord of your forefathers.
9. Rather they are steeped in doubt and mockery.
10. So watch [O Muhammad] for the day when the sky will bring forth obvious smoke.
11. That will envelop the people. [They will say:] This is a painful punishment!
12. Our Lord, remove the punishment from us; we will surely believe!
13. How is it that now they pay heed, when a Messenger who explained things clearly came to them before,
14. then they turned away from him and said: [He is] a madman, taught by others?
15. We will indeed remove the punishment for a little while, but you will surely go back [to disbelief].
16. On the day when We seize [them] with a mighty onslaught, We will surely exact retribution.
17. Indeed We tested the people of Pharaoh before them, when a noble Messenger came to them, [saying]:
18. Hand over to me the slaves of Allah. Verily I am a trustworthy Messenger to you.
19. Do not be arrogant towards Allah, for I come to you with clear authority.
20. Verily I seek refuge with my Lord and your Lord lest you kill me.
21. If you do not believe me, then let me be.
22. Then he called upon his Lord, [saying]: Verily these are wicked people.
23. [Allah said:] Travel by night with My slaves; you will surely be pursued.
24. And leave the sea parted [behind you];19 for they are an army destined to be drowned.
25. How many gardens and springs did they leave behind,
26. and cornfields and splendid mansions,
27. and a life of ease in which they had taken such delight.
28. And so it was; and We caused other people to inherit such things.
29. Neither heaven nor earth wept for them, nor were they given respite.
30. Thus We delivered the Children of Israel from the humiliating punishment,
31. From Pharaoh. Indeed he was high-handed in the land and was one who transgressed all bounds.
32. We chose them, knowingly, above all other nations [of that time],
33. and We showed them signs in which there was a clear test.
34. Verily these people [Quraysh] say:
35. There is nothing but our first death, and we will not be resurrected.
36. Then bring back our forefathers, if you are telling the truth!
37. Are they better [in power and strength], or the people of Tubba‘ and those who came before them? We destroyed them, for verily they were evildoers.
38. We have not created the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in vain.
39. We have not created them both except for a true purpose, but most of them do not know.
40. Verily the Day of Judgement is the time appointed for all of them,
41. A day on which no friend [or relative] will avail another at all, nor will they be helped,
42. except those to whom Allah shows mercy. Verily He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful.
43. Verily the tree of Zaqqoom
44. Will be the food of the wicked.
45. Like dregs of oil, it will boil in their bellies,
46. Like the boiling of scalding water.
47. [It will be said:] Seize him and drag him into the middle of the blazing fire,
48. Then pour over his head the punishment of scalding water.
49. Taste it, O you who were mighty and honourable!
50. This is what you used to doubt.
51. Verily the righteous will be in a secure place,
52. Amidst gardens and springs,
53. Wearing green garments of fine silk and heavy brocade, facing one another.
54. So it will be, and We will marry them to fair companions with big beautiful eyes.
55. There they will call for every kind of fruit, secure from all ills.
56. They will not taste death therein, except the first death, and He will protect them from the punishment of the blazing fire,
57. by the grace of your Lord. That is the supreme triumph.
58. We have made this [Qur’an] easy, in your own language, so that they may pay heed.
59. So wait; verily they too are waiting.

Surah Kahf | Sa'ad al Ghamdi [Ar-En] [Full] سورة الكهف | سعد الغامدي
From Abu Sa'eed al-Khudri, who said: "Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the night of Jumu'ah, will have a light that will stretch between him and the Ancient House (the Ka'bah)."
(Narrated by al-Daarimi, 3407. This hadeeth was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami, 6471)
(b)
"Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu'ah, will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next."
(Narrated by al-Haakim, 2/399; al-Bayhaqi, 3/249. Ibn Hajar said in Takhreej al-Adhkaar that this is a hasan hadeeth, and he said, this is the strongest report that has been narrated concerning reading Soorat al-Kahf. See: Fayd al-Qadeer, 6/198. It was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami', 6470)
(c)
It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: "The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: 'Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu'ah, a light will shine for him from beneath his feet to the clouds of the sky, which will shine for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will be forgiven (his sins) between the two Fridays.'"
Al-Mundhiri said, this was narrated by Abu Bakr ibn Mardawayh in his Tafseer, with an isnaad with which there was nothing wrong.
(al-Targheeb wa'l-Tarheeb, 1/298)
The soorah may be read during the night or the day of Jumu'ah. The night of Jumu'ah starts from sunset on Thursday, and the day of Jumu'ah ends at sunset. Therefore the time for reading this soorah extends from sunset on Thursday to sunset on Friday.
Al-Mannaawi said:
Al-Haafiz ibn Hajar said in his Amaali: "In some reports it says 'the day of Jumu'ah' and in some reports it says 'the night of Jumu'ah'. They may be reconciled by saying that what is meant is the day which includes the night and vice versa." (Fayd al-Qadeer, 6/199)
May Allah forgive all our sins.
