The Man Who Ruined Africa (Morningshot Original)
In November of 1884, Otto von Bismarck convened a 14 nation conference to finalise the colonial partitioning of the African continent. The pre-text for the Conference was King Leopold II's plan to convince other European powers of his legitimacy to claim the region known as Congo for himself. What followed became known as the "Scramble For Africa" and the consequences are still felt to this day.
In this Morningshot Original Roman explains the origins of African Colonialism and how the division of Africa, and Liberalisation of Africa, ruined it.

Eskom Hostage Crisis & Texas Police Failure.
The morning show is back, but in a new format.
Going forward Morning Shot intends to run the morning show as a live show, covering news analysis but within a 15-20 minute time slot. Morning Shot intends to be non-partisan in its analysis, being neither right wing or left wing, but instead intends to show that the stories of the day are not progressive but instead are just more of the same.
In this episode Roman and Byron will look at the news that Eskom is being held hostage by ANC policy and that the power utility is not capable of reform. They will also review the tragic shooting in Texas and how state failure enabled the violence. A side consideration of the event, in line with the Firearms Control narrative, will be given.

Why do architects hate us so much? (Morningshot Original)
If you live in a modern city, you might notice a few things about the architecture around you. The buildings are probably made of reinforced concrete, glass or steel. You might also notice that they are all, without exception, extremely ugly. They need air conditioning and other amenities to be inhabitable but on the ugly to lovely scale, they are always near the ugly side. So the question is: why has progress made our cities so ugly?

The Myth Of Human Progress (Morningshot Original)
Technological progress is real and evident - it has eradicated diseases and has fundamentally changed the way humans interact with their environment. But, does technological or scientific progress create human progress? As in, does humanity evolve to become better beings thanks to technology? Is human progress is real?
In this video, we attempt to answer the question of whether human progress is real. We attempt to show you that Human Progress is a Myth, and that the only true progress are compromises that never really progress anything.

Nelson Mandela: The Communist Father of a Nation (Mature Audiences Only)
Nelson Mandela is heralded as one of the most important and impactful political leaders of the 20th century. But what is missing from the conversation is his actual legacy and the decisions he made in 1960 that still reverberate throughout South Africa today.
In this episode, we argue that the progress South Africa thinks it has achieved since the fall of apartheid and the rise of democracy is largely a myth and that modern South Africa remains a compromised mess caused by the decisions made during the ANC's liberation struggle.
Join us in for this Morningshot Original where we will attempt to show you that Progress is Myth and nothing truly changes.
