After doing the initial synthesis of Ortho Nitrophenol here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viLwdmQi9dQ&t=148s I have decided to work up the remaining material to try and isolate Para Nitrophenol. I then analyzed all the different fractions from the synthesis using gas chromatography with mass spectrometry (GCMS). Enjoy! Here I tired the synthesis and subsequent analysis of Methyl Iodide using aluminum foil. As is per usual for me it did not go entirely as planned, but it was still fun to do. Enjoy!
