Handcrafted LED Accent Light
Quick video of the handcrafted LED accent light I made today. Its three quarter by three quarter pine I ripped down and slotted for plexiglass inserts. The light is part of a rgb LED light strip that I cut down to size. It operates on 5 volts DC and plugs into any USB style phone charger. It was a fun quick project. Thanks for watching.

Corn Stalk Growing Fingers!
In this video, you will see a corn stalk with 3 sets of brace roots. The first, at ground level going into the dirt. The second, about 3 inches above ground level reaching towards the ground. The third, about 8 inches above ground level, again reaching towards the dirt. One or 2 sets of brace roots isn't uncommon. It's the plants way of reaching out for more water and nutrients and ends up giving the stalk extra stability. The third brace root here at 8 inches above ground level is rather unusual! This tells me my subsurface soil conditions are not conducive to roots growing into the ground. Next year before planting I will have some soil preparation to do. This year it was very wet and the soil clumped up and didn't break apart very well. Thanks for watching!

Cardinals, Finches And Blue Jays Waiting For Their Turn At A Feeder
There was a whole flock of birds in the tree and at the feeders this afternoon. There must have been 20 birds out there between the tree and the feeders. We have a woodpecker that makes an appearance once in a while. Hopefully the humming birds make a return this year. We haven't seen our Blue Heron in awhile either, maybe it's just the weather. Another beautiful winter day in New York!!! Thanks for watching and have a blessed day!

Broken Snapping Turtle Eggs
Here’s a quick video of some turtle eggs I found down at the creek. They appear to have been dug up and eaten by another animal. It’s sad to see them destroyed but that’s how nature goes sometimes. These appear to be snapping turtle eggs based on their shape, size, color and amount of eggs. Thanks for watching and have a great day.

2 Coyotes Crossing Front Yard At Night In Snow Storm
I apologize if its hard to see as it was at night and I don't have a very good camera to film through the window when its dark out. I was getting ready to lay down for bed and something told me to look out the front window and sure enough, there was 2 coyotes walking across the front yard. I live in a rural town in Western New York and it isn't uncommon to see coyotes, especially large packs of them 30 to 40 strong. When theh go off and howl at night it will give you goosebumps hearing that many dogs out there. This is why we don't let or dogs stay outside alone anymore. Chances are they would make it in a fight but we love them too much to put them in that position. Its weird how sometimes you get a feeling to do something and catch something happening because of that feeling. Thanks for watching.

Winner On A 5 Dollar NY Scratch Off Ticket
I see these videos all the time and figured I'd give it a shot. It was last second I thought about doing it after seeing I had a matching number. I don't have the best luck with these but my brothers seem to have the lucky horse within them lol. Sorry for the background noise, my Mom was watching her Golden Girls really loud lol. I can't watch that show but sometimes I hear something on it and it makes me laugh. Comedy isn't what it used to be!!! Good luck if you play lotto. Wonder if the 1 billion dollar mega millions was won yet? What a nice surprise that would be! I'd be happy with few hundred! Thanks for watching.

Kreg Plywood Cutting Jig
Quick video using my Kreg plywood cutting jig. I can run saw without it but boy is it nice for making laser straight cuts! I would highly recommend this product of you do a lot of plywood cutting that requires tight edges. Saw is a SkilSaw 2.4 horse power 7 1/4 inch circular saw. I've had this saw for almost 15 years and I have used it alot with zero trouble other than the depth control knob stripped so I had to but a different nut on it. I had the Kreg saw jig for about a month and I've been using it alot without complaint. That cut was very fast and accurate at the same time through regular 3/8ths inch pine plywood. Thanks for watching.

Krazy Korn Grows Purple Hair!
This is a quick video showing the purple hair growing from one of my corn plants! This doesn't happen on regular yellow corn or cow corn, only colored corn. Along with some sweet corn and butter corn, I planted some Indian corn which is multi colored corn. You can grind Indian corn into flour or use them, along with the stalks, for fall decorations. It is not often eaten as it is bitter and doesn't taste like the corn we're all used to. Thanks for watching and have a wonderful day! If you like these types of videos, please follow and stay tuned for more interesting random videos!

Winter Wonder Land
Today, November 13 2021, we received out first snow fall with accumulation! A band of heavy lake effect snow blew in from over the great lakes. It sure is a sight to see!
Lake effect snow: weather.gov
Lake effect snow is common across the Great Lakes region during the late fall and winter. Lake Effect snow occurs when cold air, often originating from Canada, moves across the open waters of the Great Lakes. As the cold air passes over the unfrozen and relatively warm waters of the Great Lakes, warmth and moisture are transferred into the lowest portion of the atmosphere. The air rises, clouds form and grow into narrow band that produces 2 to 3 inches of snow per hour or more.
Wind direction is a key component in determining which areas will receive lake effect snow. Heavy snow may be falling in one location, while the sun may be shining just a mile or two away in either direction. The physical geography of the land and water is also important.
Thanks for watching and have a great day!

Infamous Flying Pac Man!
Here is a quick video of two Cessnas towing the infamous Pac Man banners! Seen randomly across the country, the lead banner is promoting the Stong museum of play which is a social and cultural museum located in Rochester New York and the tailing banner depicting the characters from the popular video game "Pac Man" for all to see. I've been seeing more of these air billboards recently. They seem to be making a come back. From personal invitations to political rants to advertisements, air billboards are a great way to spread your message for all audiences to see.
Thank you for watching and have a great day!

Huge Pallet Find!!¡!
This morning I took delivery of 72 skids (pallets) from a local electrical contractor. I found them for free on Craigslist and he offered delivery for free if I took them all. There are 48"x48", 48"x24" and 48"x96" and all but a few are in great, close to new condition. I plan on building a 10'x16' shed and I will be using the slats from the pallets as siding and the frame pieces for framing and bracing where I can. The rest will be built using marked down lumber with minor defects. This is going to be a great build! I will be showing disassembly and cutting them all to the same size to make instalation easy and the over build process of it. A little at a time goes a long way. Thanks for watching!

What 18 inches of lake effect snow looks like
Here's 18 inches of lake effect snow thay fell in Erie county NY. Between 11pm Sundays when it started and 8am Monday, a foot and a half of snow fell. We've had a very light winter so far. Usually, when we have a warm first half of winter, the lakes stay warm and when the arctic cold comes in January, we get lots and lots of lake effect. Thanks for watching and have a great day!

KOWOOD Router Bit Self Destructs, Ruins My Router
I bought a 2 piece KOWOOD quarter inch tongue and groove router bit set from Amazon for 25 dollars, 7 off original price with Prime. It was delivered this afternoon and upon turning on my router to make sure the bit wasn't going to explode, it bent itself and bent my router shaft! I turned it on after securely tightening the bit all the way down into the collet, set the depth on my router plate, set the rpm to 16,000 rpm and a second after turning it on it bent itself. The instant it happened I let off the trigger but the damage was already done. It bent the bit, bent my shaft and took out 3 screw holes for the round plate for mounting. My router is now damaged and not able to be used. I am very upset and I have emailed the company with the video and a picture and set up the return to Amazon. I don't look for freebies but I want my router replaced! This is unacceptable!!! After the first one bent, I put the tongue bit in and tried it. My router now vibrates and does not cut right right. I took the bit out and turned my router on and it still vibrates. This router was my father's and can not be replaced. I would not recommend getting anything KOWOOD. I figured I'd try these because they were a deal and had good reviews. The problem with cheap stuff is it can be hit or miss and this was a huge miss... Thanks for watching. I am now without a router.
