This beautiful male Betta was beautiful in regular speed, but it's mesmerizing when you look at it in slow motion. I've been interested and fascinated with Betta fish for decades. I've even bred them in the past.

Seychelles Pole Beans are very productive. They are also a very attractive bean. The pods are much smoother looking than most pole beans.

I've seen ducks and geese do this before. I would like to know what is going on in those little duck brains when they do this. This duck wasn't anywhere near water, and was in the middle of a parking lot.

We get flocks of geese around here that number in the tens of thousands. I'm not sure how many thousand were in this flock, but it was a bunch. They came in and started to land, but after some of them were already on the ground, they flew off again.

The Grand Canyon is amazing to look at in person. Then when you think about the fact that it was carved out by water, it kind of blows your mind.

Never approach a venomous snake. If you aren't 100% sure if it's venomous, treat it like it is. I've been around reptiles all my life. In that time, I've learned to identify the dangerous ones. Sometimes the smaller Rattlesnakes can be more dangerous than the large ones. That is because they haven't learned how to control how much venom the inject. They use it all every time.

China Jade Cucumbers are my favorite cucumbers to grow. They get over a foot long, but when picked before the bottom starts to widen, they are still very crispy and delicious.

We visited the Butterfly Palace in Branson, Missouri. We really enjoyed seeing the butterflies and feeding them with nectar from an artificial flower.

I love it when I get a chance to see something unique or rare in nature. I felt fortunate when we sighted two piebald Brown-headed Cowbirds in one day. I've always been fascinated with carnivorous plants. Venus Fly Traps are just cool! I found a cricket in our yard, and I fed it to my Venus Fly Trap. It didn't take long either.

I've had really good luck with growing sweet potatoes in straw bales. This time we got some really big ones. You never know what you will get when it comes time to harvest sweet potatoes. Striped Bark Scorpions are very common in some parts of the country. The ones in this video are in the state of Missouri, but I've also seem them in the state of Kansas. They are nocturnal, so you probably will never see one moving about during the daytime.

I love to grow lots of different things, so sometimes I run out of room in the garden. When that happens, I usually turn to growing in grow bags. Even though these beets didn't do quite as well as they usually do in the ground, I think they did well enough. We enjoy making pickled beets, so that is what we use small batches of beets for. It's amazing to me how beautiful a vegetable garden looks when it's seen this time of year when everything is brown. This was in July when we were harvesting tons of good stuff to eat from it.

On this day, we were able to get a close look at 11 different snakes. They were on a dirt road in the state of Kansas. Snakes are fascinating creatures. I hope you enjoy seeing them as much as we did.
