In the crazy world of fuel supplies without a refinery, we still export the oil, out of the ground to other countries, and no one says a thing. And there is more, but it's still the same negative response, look at this. 23/03/2024 Asphalt. The Asphalt / Bitumen carrier, the Atlantic Asphalt has just arrived from Portland Oregon USA and is now at anchor outside of port Tauranga. The journey has taken 24 days to complete. From Tauranga. the vessels will go forward to Port Lyttelton, and from there is will leave and head to St Johns CA Canada. You have to ask, at what cost?

How can this go so wrong. The closure of Marsden Point, New Zealand's only Oil Fuel Refinery, is just now managing to come to the attention of the N.Z Govt, well so it seems, a little late. Have a listen to our fuel supplies reports and just take this in.

Changes with our fuel supplies are starting to raise concerns. Countries of origin, unexpected arrivals, never on any schedules, out off the blue, why.
Deliveries seem to be stable, but now we have another month of unscheduled arrivals, is the the new norm?
It's all changing, and this could be a worry.
