On Sunday, Jessica Bowman, a director of the Florida Liberty Caucus, received an ominous phone call from an individual claiming to be a health department official. The caller warned Bowman that her son would not be allowed to return to school after summer break after he was exposed to covid and must quarantine. Knowing her son spent the entire summer home with family, Bowman questioned whether the call was a prank. The next morning, as Bowman attempted to drop her son off at school on Monday, she was stopped by a resource officer when she walked onto the school premises. The officer warned her son would not be allowed into the school without a vaccine passport. Following the resource officer’s confrontation with Bowman, the Florida Liberty Caucus notified organizers of the North Florida Patriots, a grassroots network of conservatives, of the school’s vaccine mandate – all of which are illegal under Gov. Ron DeSantis’ executive order suspending all local COVID restrictions in the state. Vicky, who did not want to provide a last name, expressed displeasure at the disorganized conditions at the shelter, the spreading of COVID-19, and the lack of information needed to locate the family members inside. Vicky spoke with Breitbart Texas outside the shelter and described her frustration in finding out local hotels in the area are housing COVID-positive migrants while not informing other guests. She spoke about multiple failed attempts to find her friend’s family who recently called them from the shelter for assistance. She says the situation is disorganized and that conditions in the shelter are overcrowded. Much like the Border Patrol, the local shelter run by Catholic Charities in downtown McAllen appeared overwhelmed on Friday. The migrants, recently released by the Border Patrol, waited outside on the sidewalks to gain entry. Families with small children stood outside the shelter and patiently waited for a room to become available inside the shelter as local shoppers watched. Commercial vans and taxis hustled to take migrants to hotels in the area as the Border Patrol contract buses continued to drop off more migrants in a revolving door fashion. One Venezuelan family spoke to Breitbart Texas and said they crossed the Rio Grande River near McAllen on Thursday. The young man says he, along with his wife and baby, is headed to South Carolina where they have relatives waiting for them. He says he knows nothing about the shelter or what he will be told inside. I mean hard. The reason I say hard is because you can hear his body hit the concrete, and it looks like maybe he hits the back of his head and his elbow. If you look in the video while the man is getting up and the Gestapo Canadian police are grabbing him, he is holding the back of his own head.
