The Mother's Carol
A few years ago a group at our church completed a devotion called the Mary's Mantle Consecration for the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe (Dec 12th). While working through the devotion, I wanted to write a carol for Our Lady. What came about was this walk through her life with Jesus. I thought it was to be just a straight song as the verses were quite long. As, I started to sing it and add music, it became clear that Our Lady wanted to add a refrain.
I hope you enjoy this song from the heart of Mary.

St Patrick's Breastplate - Old prayer gets a musical update
I started writing songs a couple of years ago. This prayer was one that I wanted to set to music. While there are beautiful Irish versions, they are pretty much unsingable for the average person like me. I tried and tried to figure out how to do it. Eventually, it occurred to me that this would fit against the Blues making it a more modern version of chant.
Hope you like it. I am neither a singer or a guitar player. This is the best take I could do as the more I tried the worse it got. I'm sure St Patrick did not sing it perfectly when he was dodging those ruffians who were going to jump them on the road.

Feast of The Presentation and the Flame of Love
February 2nd is the Feast of the Presentation of Jesus in the temple after Mary's 40 days of purification.
in the 1960's, Mary began appearing to Elizabeth Kindlemann asking her to spread a new devotion to the Flame of Love of Her Immaculate Heart. Our Blessed Mother asked that the Flame of Love be celebrated at Candlemas. Not as a replacement, but as an enhancement.
