Husky Humorously Adjusts To Her New Snow Booties

You would think that animals don’t need shoes, because their soles are not soft like ours and they are probably used to stepping on the rough ground. But just as we humans like to wear shoes to be stylish, so do our dogs. Or dog owners do, so that their dogs can be stylish too… Actually, doh booties, as they are called, are quite common in sled dog races . Many races require booties as a basic element of dog care. The Yukon Quest Sled Dog Race, for example, requires mushers to carry no fewer than eight booties per dog. This is the first Canadian winter for Sparta the Northern Inuit, and she doesn’t know how to walk in her new boots! She doesn’t seem to mind them, but walking in them presents a sort of challenge for the agile dog, so instead of trotting towards her owner like the happy little pup that she is, she performs a sort of high, improvised rack, confused by what ever is wrapped around her paws. Still, all that confusion did not wipe a single shred of that wide puppy smile ! For many dog owners, finding dog boots that stay on can be a real challenge. The key is finding a bootie that is flexible enough to feel comfortable, but still allows durability and support for, say, a hard-hitting hike through rocky terrain. Look for boots that are snug around the ankle, have a bit of space at the toes and allow some wiggle room, but still offer support.

Tail-Wagging Raccoon Visits His Canine Friend18s

Tail-Wagging Raccoon Visits His Canine Friend

These interspecies friendships is what we love most about our job here. Watching endless hours of videos with all sorts of different animals cuddling and playing in harmony warms our hearts and makes us wish we had such pets around. Seeing how even sworn natural enemies can learn to love and respect each other really makes you put a finger to your forehead and think some things through. Now, this might not be your run of the mill friendship, but we would like to think that this rare breed of dog that looks very much like a wolf will eventually grow on to this uninvited guest. Sparta the Northern Inuit has always wanted to befriend the neighborhood raccoon, but the trash panda has always stayed on the roof... Until today. The chubby masked bandit decided to come a bit closer today, so he perched himself on the balcony railing, right across the door, where good old Sparta was waiting. We can see the coon wagging his tail outside and our immediate response would be that the wild animal is happy to see Sparta, but raccoons are more like cats that dogs when it comes to wagging their tail. Sorry Sparta, this guy doesn’t want to be your friend, he just wants your kibble! Not all coons are scared of dogs though! In this adorable video, the raccoon really loves to play wrestle with the dog. Every coin has two sides and these two are the opposite of Sparta and her un-buddy.

Dear Mr. Garbage Man, please take me!39s

Dear Mr. Garbage Man, please take me!

The garbage man didn't collect my broken rain barrel, so I pleaded. "I was a rain barrel, watering the garden. But then I BURSTED. My owner tried to repair me 3x, and I am beyond repair. So, goodbye! Mr. Garbage Man, please take me. A flower for you!" Happy to say, this worked.

Pit Bull Patiently Waits In Line For Ice Cream

For kids, there are so many things that bring happiness just by hearing the sound they make – the rustling of wrapping paper coming from the gifts under the Christmas tree, the jingling of coins coming from the piggy bank that is almost full, the music coming from the toy store...but nothing, and we are certain of this, brings more joy to a kid, or any person for that mater, than the music coming from the ice cream truck as it draws near! When you were a kid, you'd probably go running when you heard the music from the ice cream truck approaching - and this sweet-toothed pit bull does exactly the same thing. When he hears the truck's “famous" tune as it stops in front of his house, the sundae loving puppy comes running! The Pitbull may look menacing, but when he stands there, in front of the vendor, wagging his tail and looking for his owner to come, we see a little child on four legs that's waiting for his dose of icy sweetness. Of course mom comes to buy a tall vanilla softs serve and immediately she gives it to her doggy. He doesn't even skip a bit, but launches towards the dessert and downs it in just a couple of gobbles! That is one sweet Pitbull!
