This is film showing my grandfather during an ice patrol in the North Atlantic ocean, on station to patrol for icebergs in the North Atlantic. He was commanding officer of the Acushnet from 1946-1950, in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.

We stood by the fenced area where the Blue Angels parked on Boeing Field. They taxied by, and it was so much fun.
