Here's a video I prepared for your viewing enjoyment. I hope you like it. A magician shows three cards depicting empty wine glasses, all facing the same way. Inexplicably, the centre card inverts itself to face the other way. This can be repeated, but on the second occasion, the centre card shows a glass filled with yellow liquid!

All you need for this magic trick is a glass tumbler and a coin. Learn from the video and perform it for your friends and family. A coin and glass tumbler are shown freely to the audience. Holding the coin in one hand, the base of the tumbler is brought down hard on the coin. The coin is immediately shown to be inside the tumbler, which is promptly handed out for close examination.

A little preparation is required before the performance of this trick, but the effort gives a fine result. A card may be chosen at random, and placed inside a small envelope. A thread is now passed through both sides of the envelope, with the card trapped inside. The thread is now forcibly ripped from the envelope, leaving it destroyed. And yet the card contained in the envelope is free from all damage.

Learn how to perform a magic trick that has a ball penetrate a hankerchief in full view, leaving absolutely no damage whatsoever. All you need is a ball and a hankerchief, and a little practice. The magician displays a ball and a hankerchief, which may be examined by the audience. The hankerchief is placed over the ball and twisted to hold the ball firmly in position. In view of the audience, the ball emerges upward through the hankerchief and is offered once more to the audience for final inspection.

Talk about a round-about way of filling a cup with cordial! Take a container, and pour the cordial into it. Then place the cup (open end up) into the container of cordial. Without touching the container or cup in any way, you cause the cordial to move from the container into the cup. The container is now shown to be empty. This is a very easy make-and-perform magic trick, suitable for young magicians and beginners the age of seven years and over. Simply follow the instructional video, and you'll be amazing your friends and family in no time.

Here is a showy magical effect that is surprising and very colourful. A magic wand is introduced to the audience, and can even be used to cause other magic to happen. Then at the appropriate time, a simple pass of the hand over the magic wand abruptly has the wand changing into a flower stem complete with a red bloom. As an option, the wand can instead be covered with a cloth or handkerchief. When the cover is removed, the wand has turned into the feather flower. Either way, it is an unexpected surprise that can be easily mastered by the youngest would-be magician.

This is a demonstration of a magic trick they call "The Vanishing Silk". In it, the magician takes a silk hankerchief, and pushes it into a closed fist. Upon opening his/her hand, it is seen that the hankerchief has disappeared - all with bare hands! At the magician's command, the silk hankerchief amazingly re-appears, both hands being shown empty once again. The secret is not disclosed, but 'how-to' videos can be viewed at my other channel, "MagicSchool".

It's always puzzling to see magic performed at close range without the use of boxes or canisters. This performance utilizes hands only. A red hankerchief is pushed into the magician's fist. Bit by bit it is pulled out from the bottom of the fist, but is now a different colour! There is no revealing of the secret, but my other Rumble channel "MagicSchool" has a number of do-it-yourself tricks that you can make and perform at no cost to you. Take a look sometime.

A traffic light of course consists of three coloured circles. Here is a baffling demonstration illustrating the flight of one of those circles. Two cards are shown. On one, there are three spots bearing the three colours of a traffic light. The other card is blank. By simply touching the two cards together, the magician causes the green spot to jump from one card to the other. The audience can examine both cards. Here's a video for your viewing pleasure. A small toy kite is shown to be plain on both sides. With a simple pass of the hand, the magician causes the kite to become multi-coloured. He then merely touches the base of the kite with a magic wand, and a tail surprisingly appears, completing the illusion.

This is a magical effect I particularly enjoy. I've personally performed a version of this over many years, and it has always met with great approval. A fan of cards gradually becomes smaller and smaller, finally disappearing altogether. This is an improved version of a popular effect, bringing a proven winner up to date for today's astute audiences. Performance of this item has been purposely simplified, so that even the young can master the trick with minimal effort. I love magic tricks where the onlookers are left completely puzzled, saying "That's impossible". In this video, the magician removes a regular deck of cards from its box. The cards are placed on the table and the box is set next to them. To the amazement of the audience, the box has shrunk to an alarming size. There is now no way that the cards will fit back in the box. The reaction it causes is priceless. Prepare and perform your own magic tricks by taking a look at my other channel "MagicSchool".

Quite often, magic involves objects behaving in a way that defies the laws of nature. This is a video of one such display. The magic wand is held in the magician's hand. Slowly it begins to rise, all by itself. It can also be made to jump from the hand in a puzzling fashion. As a bonus, the same magic wand can be used in the normal manner, both before and after the demonstration.

Sometimes the magic in a display is not so much about the result, but the speed in which it was accomplished. A cord is stretched between the magician's wrists, and tied securely to each one. A ring is then introduced, and may be checked for authenticity by the audience. In the blink of an eye, the ring is seen threaded n the cord, dangling freely between his wrists. Both the cord and the ring can be removed and examined by the audience members.

Learn how to prepare and perform this neat magic trick by following the video instruction. The 3, 2 & Ace are shown freely to the audience. The three is placed on the bottom of the deck, and is immediately found at the top. The two is now placed on the top and eerily moves to the bottom. Now the deck is placed on the ace, which quickly moves to the top. The whole deck can be examined - there is only one of each card.

Here's a demonstration of what some say is a classic magic trick, known as the 'Torn & Restored Card'. It has certainly been around for quite some time. The magician tears up a chosen card, and retains one corner. The pieces are placed in a small box and the magic word is uttered. On opening the box, the card is seen to be restored, apart from the one corner that was retained in the audience member's possession.

Mathematical problems are always absorbing and interesting. Here's an exhibition with a difference. I can give a slight hint of its working, by saying that it relies on only two subtle moves involving sleight of hand. The magician presents a magical version of 2 + 2 = 4. However, in duplicating the trick, it ends with a completely unexpected result that is both surprising and captivating.

We're all too familiar with the changing nature of traffic lights. Here, I've provided a video of a miniature traffic light going through its motions. A miniature version displays the three colours of a regular traffic light - red, amber and green. At the magician's command, the lights change colour a number of times before it finally reverts to its original state. This is a clever updated version of a standard effect that's been around for well over 80 years. There are adaptations of the original still in existence today, which illustrates the resilience of this effect.

Versatility is bonus when it comes to magical apparatus. To have a piece of equipment that can perform more than one function is a definite plus. The video I've posted here gives a demonstration of one use of a very versatile item. A bag with a netting front is shown to be completely empty. The magician simply turns the bag around, and when displayed once more it is seen to contain a silver or gold coin. Another variation is to start with a coin in the bag, and have it multiply. You can even make a coin vanish with this bag. It's an asset to any young magician's collection.

Here's another magic trick involving only three cards, so there isn't a full deck to confuse the onlooker. Magicians often use a disappearance to astound the audience, so here's one you may not have seen. Three cards in a fan are displayed to the audience. The middle card is a court card. The fan is closed and placed on a table. The magician, revealing that the court card has now become invisible, places the phantom card in his breast pocket. Sensing the audience's distrust, he immediately reaches into his breast pocket and withdraws the court card, placing it back between the two cards still sitting on the table.

It's handy for a magician to maintain control of a card's position. Here, I demonstrate that a card is sometimes hard to keep track of. A short stack containing one Ace and a few other spot cards is shown to the audience. The Ace is shown to be on the top of the stack, but is now placed on the bottom. With a quick flourish, the Ace shoots to the top of the stack. This is repeated, and then the Ace shoots back to the bottom just as quickly. An audience member is now requested to place the Ace in the centre of the stack, and again it is found on the top. This Ace is now held openly in the magician's hand, and immediately changes to a spot card. The audience member can now sort through the stack, to find the Ace somewhere in the centre.

Whether you like ghost stories or escapes from bondage, I have a demonstration that might appeal to you. The magician shows three cards - two depicting a haunted house, and one of a ghost. The three cards, ghost in the centre, are attached securely to a key-chain. Magically, the ghost escapes from the key-chain, and is found elsewhere. The question would be: How can a card, any card, vanish from between two others while they remain in full view? I'll bet you can solve the riddle.

Over the past few hundred years, magicians have floated almost everything, from a crystal ball to a young lady. Here's a simple example of the laws of physics being contradicted. A match is placed on the back of a playing card. The magician causes the match to float above the card, proving it to be really suspended. The match is then lowered down to the card once again, and both items can be examined.

Reminiscent of France's dreaded guillotine, the video opposite shows a miniature portrayal, with thankfully a rosier outcome. Four cards have a hole in the centre of each. A finger is placed through three of the cards, while the fourth card is seen to pass easily through the finger, to join its peers impaled on the finger.

Poker chips have become a popular item with present-day magicians. Here is just one of many magic tricks that can be performed with these versatile accessories. Two poker chips, orange on either side, are placed under a canopy of like colour. Two more chips, this time green on either side, are placed under a green cover. After a time, the magician discloses that there is a chip of each colour, orange and green, under either cover. One chip from each cover has crossed over.
