Jonnie Vale's Drum Part for Holiest One by Mastedon
I really enjoy “Holiest One” by John Elefante’s group, Mastedon. I created a drum part to offer my spin on the song using techniques and styles I have developed and been influenced by, while still retaining some of the original drum fills, rhythms, etc. and complimenting the music. ~ Jonnie Vale
(Explicit permission granted by the artist to use original music. Drums performed by Jonnie Vale. Video and audio recorded and produced by Rythmόs Studio.)

Answer to the People by Jonnie Vale
“This song was inspired by several things going on in the United States and around the world. However, while addressing specific issues through the lyrics, the overall message intended is the principle built by the American Founding Fathers that We the People are the highest authority in the land. Ultimately though, Jesus Christ is the King of kings and Lord of lords, therefore, all must submit to His authority and commands.
With that said, I quoted the Word of God frequently in my lyrics, specifically from Romans chapter 13. When COVID lockdowns and restrictions were first forced upon the world, many pastors and other Christians used the words in Romans 13 as the reason why we as Christians needed to simply obey every order given by all federal, state and local governments. The issue there is God is very clear in His Word about the role of government and how it is to operate. Yes, we need to submit to our authorities, but when God says governments are His servants, a terror to bad conduct and are ministers of God, yet our government has violated its Constitutional boundaries, corrupted the sanctity of marriage, destroyed the family structure, lies to and steals from its citizens and not only allows, but furiously fights to murder babies in the womb. What submission, honor and respect are we to give to such evil? The United States government answers to the People, and the People answer to Jesus Christ.
You will hear easily accessible and public audio of Joe Biden, Barack Obama and Arnold Schwarzenegger in the song as proof of their own, and others’, hypocrisy, deceit and disregard for the American People.” ~ Jonnie Vale
Lyrics:
You think you can write the narrative
Of how you think we should live
But I will not cover my face
While you try to cover your disgrace
Our hearts and minds belong to us still
So you try to infect what you cannot kill
With hands on our hearts we will stand
We are free and we will be brave in this land
You answer to the People
I pay to all what is owed to them
But remember that love of money is where evil stems
Tax, revenue, respect and honor I gave to thee
But in our land that is a two way street
If you’re the avenger that carries out God’s wrath
Then how can you justify the unborn bloodbath
You restrict our lives in the name of health
But behind it all you’re grabbing power and building up wealth
You answer to the People
The harder you push the more you squeeze
You fools, you’re killing democracy
The more you force and poke and prod
You divide this one nation under God

Salus: I. Lost / II. Redeemed / III. The Good Fight by Jonnie Vale
“Salus” is Latin for Salvation and this instrumental conveys the Christian journey of salvation. It begins with “I. Lost”, a heavy, driving, dark-toned sound, transitions into “II. Redeemed”, initially an ambient and graceful soundscape that turns into an emotional rock ballad style, that then builds into a climactic, triumphant ending likened to the “III. The Good Fight” that lies ahead.
Arrangement and production by Jonnie Vale. All music written and performed by Jonnie Vale, with guitar contribution by Mitchell Schlote in "II. Redeemed" and "III. The Good Fight".

Greatest Peace by Jonnie Vale
"Introducing the very first original song I wrote and recorded. I wrote this song because it is so hard to watch friends, family and so many others in my community, country and around the world fall away from common sense, truth, reality and the Christian faith. Sometimes it feels like I am the only one who knows an ounce of truth, let alone seeks it out and wants to share it, but in the end I know that God and His Word are always true, steadfast and knowing Jesus Christ is the greatest peace I could ever know, especially in times like these." ~ Jonnie Vale
Lyrics:
These days there’s fear all around / One day I rise, the next I’m down
When all I once held dear is gone / Where can I build my life upon?
I’ve felt the pain, I’ve suffered defeat / When I am broken and I’m beat
When nothing around me is stable / I’ll still trust in You ‘cause You’re able
Yes I trust in You, You’re able
One minute seas are calm the next there’s a storm
And just when I find comfort I’m pushed out of my norm
But despite how often I feel alone
You’re the greatest peace I’ve ever known
Whoa the greatest peace I’ve ever known
Everyone wants to know what happens next / Oh how we’re crippled by that age old vex
Whose words to trust I hear both fools and sages / But I can trust the Word of the Rock of Ages
Yes I trust the Word of the Rock of Ages
One minute seas are calm the next there’s a storm
And just when I find comfort I’m pushed out of my norm
But despite how often I feel alone
You’re the greatest peace I’ve ever known
Whoa the greatest peace I’ve ever known
We cannot place our faith in men of today
So I place my faith in the One who is the Way
King of kings, Lord of lords, He calls me His own
My faith, my life is in Christ alone
Whoa my faith, my life is in Christ alone
One minute seas are calm the next there’s a storm
And just when I find comfort I’m pushed out of my norm
But despite how often I feel alone
You’re the greatest peace I’ve ever known
You’re the greatest peace I’ve ever known / You’re the greatest peace I have ever known
