Back in the day, folks would use it to preserve their food and chill their beer.

I was going through some old files and found this. Not sure if I had shared it or not so I figured I would now.

Some call this snow. I call it solitude.

I was surprised when I got up this morning as to how much snow had fallen.

Several scenes were shot at this location. Nothing remains except some non-descript pieces of wood, bits of concrete, and we found, and left, a piece of Styrofoam.

This is the mineral deposits left by the Cold Water Geyser runoff into the river.

An out of the way place that is worth the trip. "Hovenweep" means Deserted Valley. A name given to the place by some native Americans that stumbled across it.

We had a great time that day. Shared a lot of stories, and pulled a lot of cacti off the dog.

We were having some issues with the varmint digging things up.
