The name Max Browne is one that many football fans would be familiar with. The former quarterback and current PAC-12 analyst has an amazing resume that includes success in his football career, working with prominent names such as Lewis Howes and Gary Vaynerchuk, and now in commercial real estate and as a football analyst.
Born in Sammamish, Washington, Browne had an outstanding high school football career, where he completed 73.5 percent of his passes for 12,951 yards and 146 touchdowns. He won two Gatorade Player of the Year awards for Washington and led his team, the Spartans, to three consecutive Class 4A state finals, winning the final two. He was awarded the prestigious Hall Trophy as U.S. Army Player of the Year after his senior season.
Browne was considered to be the best quarterback recruit of his class and committed to the University of Southern California during his junior year. He began playing at USC in the fall of 2013, but later transferred to the University of Pittsburgh. At Pitt he was voted captain of the team and earned the starting quarterback job, but suffered a shoulder injury during a game against Syracuse and had to undergo surgery, which put him out for the rest of the season.
After college he tried to earn his spot in the NFL but wasn't picked up. He then turned to broadcasting and began analyzing Pac-12 Conference teams, which he continues to this day.
In 2022, he married Victoria Garrick, a former USC volleyball player and mental health and body image advocate.

Jeff Heggie and Amberley Snyder - Walk Ride Rodeo
https://www.jeffheggie.com/blog/walk-ride-rodeo-amberley-snyder
"Don't allow someone else to decide what you are capable of - you decide what you want to accomplish."
AMBERLEY SNYDER
Amberley Snyder was born in January of 1991 in southern California. Amberley and her five siblings lived there during her dad’s Major League Baseball career with the Los Angeles Dodgers. At the age of three, Amberley began riding lessons and developed an unyielding passion for horses. After her dad’s retirement from baseball, the family moved to Utah. Amberley was seven years old and would only comply if she was promised a barrel racing horse when she got there, she got her wish, and that was the beginning of Amberley’s rodeo career.
Growing up, Amberley’s family environment was very competitive. Her siblings participated in everything from sports to gymnastics, but Amberley found her niche in rodeo. From a young age Amberley had a great sense of communication with her horses and connected with them on a very personal level. Her mom really had a hand in cultivating her passion, and before long she was competing in barrel racing, pole bending, breakaway roping, and goat tying. In 2009, she qualified for the National High School Finals in the pole bending and won the National Little Britches Rodeo Association All-Around Cowgirl World Championship. Her parents had reinforced in her that, hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard. That was Amberley’s objective every day during practice and in competition which accredited to a large part of her success. Amberley was very active in FFA during her adolescent years, and in 2010 was elected the Utah FFA State President. The leadership and communication skills she gained in the organization have been invaluable to her and thus the organization is very dear to her. Amberley was excited for 2010 and had her sights on college, finishing out her FFA office term, competing in college rodeo, and preparing for the upcoming changes in her life. She was completely unaware of the magnitude of the change to come.
On January 10th, 2010 Amberley was on her way to the Denver Stock Show and Rodeo. As she was passing through Sinclair, WY she took a look down at her map. After only seconds she looked up and realized she had faded into the other lane, headed towards a metal beam. In an effort to get back in her lane, Amberley overcorrected. Her truck slid off the road and rolled and she was ejected from the vehicle. She was slammed into a fence post that broke her back and immediately she lost feeling in her legs.
After five hours of emergency surgery the doctor’s prognosis was she would never regain use or feeling below her waist. He told her if she had worn her seatbelt, she would still have use of her legs. The one mistake she made that day changed her life forever, but it has not defeated her competitive spirit. The top priority for Amberley was not even to walk, but to ride her horses again. Remarkably after only 4 months after the accident, she was back on her horse.
Amberley-Snyder-Walk-Ride-Rodeo jpg webp
Through all the challenges and adversity Amberley has had to face, it hasn’t stopped her from achieving any of her goals. In May of 2015 Amberley graduated college with a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Education. In 2018, she earned her Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Utah State University. Amberley’s hard work ethic hasn’t wavered, and one could argue has even gotten stronger. After the accident Amberley realized she had a unique opportunity to reach out and inspire people with her unconventional situation. Her first step to that was her Wheel Chair Wednesday’s video segments on social media. She would perform everyday tasks that have now become more challenging, but not impossible, after her accident. These range from how she gets on her horse to how she fills her truck up with fuel and her short videos have become a popular fan favorite on social media resulting in nearly 440K fans on Facebook.
Amberley now is inspiring thousands across America by telling her inspirational story and competing in rodeos across the western United States. She has let the challenges she faces refine her, not define her.
She was voted the fan exemption contestant at the world’s richest one day rodeo, comparable to the Super Bowl, RFD-TV’s The American. She competed with the best in the industry and received a standing ovation from over 40,000 fans in AT&T Stadium and won over the hearts of America. Amberley has turned her tragedy into triumph and is inspiring all of America to Get Back on the Horse.

Jeff Heggie and Josh Frost - Champion Bull Rider
https://www.jeffheggie.com/blog/josh-frost-gold-buckle-dreams
Josh Frost has big dreams and goals for his rodeo career.
Jeff visits with 2-time NFR qualifier, professional bull rider Josh Frost. Josh finished the 2021 season with $363,352.59 in earnings as the #2 bull rider in the world. He's started the 2022 season strong already with over $83,000 in earnings before the end of March and again is currently ranked as the #2 bull rider in the world. They talk about the rodeo life, confidence, mindset, and much more.
Updated Bio (as of 12/20/22):
Since Jeff's interview with Josh, he has had a very successful 2022 rodeo season and National Finals Rodeo, which was his 3rd time qualifying for the NFR.
Josh finished the year in the #3 spot for the All-Around title with $307,700.96 in qualified earnings. He had a great NFR and finished #2 in the World in Bull Riding with $409,629.74 in earnings behind Stetson Wright.
Fun Facts about Josh at the beginning of the 2022 NFR: In 2019, he qualified for his first WNFR and didn’t ride a bull. He qualified again in 2021 and did better than any other bull rider in the field riding seven and earning the average championship. Josh left the 2021 WNFR in Las Vegas with $233,160 in earnings from his 10 rides and finished the year as the reserve champion. His redemption tour continued in 2022 starting with a win in January at Denver and he now is entering his third WNFR in second place. He also won the Linderman Award for the third consecutive time, a goal that he always writes on his list at the beginning of the year. It’s very important as the winner has to win over $1,000 in three events that are at opposite ends of the arena. Josh competed in tie-down roping and steer wrestling to accomplish his goal. He believes that roping helps keep him in shape for bull riding, but more importantly, tests the skills of the guy that wants to be known as a cowboy. He graduated from Oklahoma Panhandle State University where he met his wife, Erika, who has opened gates and even pulled his bull rope in the practice pen. She is a breakaway roper and a highlight of this year was competing at the same rodeo.

Jeff Heggie and Tami Matheny have come together to create The Confident Athlete Program to help athletes reach their full potential!
The Confident Athlete Program helps athletes to develop a powerful mindset, extreme self-confidence, and reach your full potential! Athletes put a lot of time and effort into the physical aspect of their sport, but the mental game is just as important and separates the good from the great athletes!
About Tami Matheny
Tami Matheny is the owner of Refuse2LoseCoaching, LLC, author, speaker, and a member of the Jon Gordon Team. As a mental game coach, she assists people in all walks of life (not just athletes) with improved confidence, focus, motivation, mental toughness, leadership, teamwork, etc. Tami has a passion for helping others build a foundation of confidence and overcoming adversity. She has seen first-hand how confidence is key to success in any area in life.
Although a standout athlete and student at East Rutherford High School (NC), Tami struggled with maintaining confidence. Confidence continued to elude her during her time at Lenoir-Rhyne College where she played basketball and tennis while earning a degree in psychology. She went on to receive a master’s degree in sports administration from the University of North Carolina. It wasn’t until she became men’s and women’s tennis coach at the University of South Carolina Upstate, that she began her journey exploring and researching confidence. Not only did this lead her to discover how to maintain it for herself, but it led her to where she is today. Today, Tami’s goal is to help others on their confidence journey.
When not working with others, Tami remains physically active. She has completed a handful of marathons, including the Boston Marathon and ultramarathons. Her longest race to date is a 40 miler. She is an avid cyclist, completing rides over 80 miles. Tami continues to seek new mental and physical challenges.
