Dugout shelter in winter forest, Cozy and warm night with a stove
Dugout shelter in winter forest, Cozy and warm night with a stove
Dima and I went to his dugout for two days. During that time we had time to prepare planks from dead wood, install a new stove in the shelter, make the doors to the bathhouse, and haul stones in there. Enjoy watching everyone!

Haven't been in the dugout in half a year. Due to the fact that I do not take care of it, the shelter began to fall into disrepair. In our region the first snowfalls and I decided to take advantage of this moment and spend time in the dugout instead of in the forest cabin. Perhaps this was my last visit, as I am thinking of dismantling it and chopping it for firewood (no definite decision yet). I finally tried woodcarving, I've been planning it for a long time but didn't dare. As for the first time...the result is not bad. I also tried cutting a bottle with a rope, but it didn't work out. I think because I chose a thick bottle. Anyway, enjoy watching it friends!

Many people advised me to extend the roof so that I could sit near the dugout when it rained. I wanted to do this at the very beginning of construction, but it was hard to find suitable logs in the woods. Apparently the time came and I did make a small roof. Enjoy watching friends!

My log cabin has become very cozy and warm. Of course, there is still a lot of work, but there are already doors and a stove, which allows you to keep warm inside.
