Antisemitisme in Europa

Anti-Semitism in Europe
Three German program makers - Joachim Schroeder, Sophie Hafner and Matthias Benzing - filmed for months in Germany and France to get the new Jew-hatred into the picture. Of the threatened Jews in Sarcelles in France and the campaigners for a boycott of Israel, who do so in collaboration with anti-Semitic rappers and members of the extreme right-wing community in Berlin. And, last but not least, the growing group of anti-Zionists within the German Protestant Churches and the progressive party Die Linke. The film shows various aspects of this
For example, in 2018 an important part of Europe will show solidarity with the enemies of Israel, the PLO and later Hamas and the Arab countries. And although this is a conflict that takes place in the Middle East, it is the European Jews who are the first to be touched by the consequences of this Western solidarity: an anti-Semitic grimace that shows itself more and more often. Where a large part of the society looks away and remains indifferent. Is anti-Zionism the new anti-Semitism? The three makers also looked around in Israel and Gaza to check whether the news consumer hears about the Palestinian question, is in line with the reality on the ground.
Although there are no more ghettos in Europe, a considerable number of Jewish Europeans are still in a social isolation where they have to defy anti-Semitic assaults and attacks. 'Chosen and excluded' shows this painful side of 21st century Western society. So painful that the film was initially not even broadcast, by the clients: the German television station WDR and the French TV channel Arte. After completion both TV channels refused to program the film. The program would not have met their quality requirements. After a high-level public debate in Germany and France, the stations decided to broadcast. At the same time, the content of the film was questioned on the internet pages of the television stations.

Tzahal Concert 2011
NEDERLANDS + ENGLISH

Nine members of the Israeli Army's song and music group will give a concert in Barneveld on Monday evening, February 21, under the motto "We were born for peace." The conscripted boys and girls of Tzahal will perform in the Veluwehal, Nieuwe Markt 6, starting at 7:30 p.m. and ending around 10 p.m. The concert is organized by Christians for Israel, in cooperation with Collective Israel Action and a regional working group.
"The concert will be entirely dedicated to peace and solidarity with Israel," said a spokesperson. "With it, we want to make it clear that there are many friends in the Netherlands who care about the land and people of Israel. Boys and girls in Israel have to do military service from the age of 18: boys three years and girls two years. Those with the greatest musical talent are allowed to be part of the army's music group for a year. Previous concert tours of Tzahal in the Netherlands in recent years attracted thousands of enthusiastic visitors." Vocally, we made a deep bow in our hearts to these musicians, said a reporter after one of the previous concerts. Under the headline "Tzahal sings with passion" he wrote, among other things, "Extremely disciplined they performed their songs, the sound of their voices being warm in tone. The combo was also on a roll. This combo accompanied the singers in a more than excellent way." The young soldiers belong to an army unit that performs from time to time at most army bases and only very rarely goes abroad.
