Fiscal Fridays: The pharmacy spending farce
Medicaid is the largest single budget in the entire state government of Idaho. The Dept. of Health and Welfare says it's because drugs are expensive. Yet basic economics explains that when third parties pay for services, costs always rise. The elephant in the room when discussing Medicaid costs is ENROLLMENT.

Nowhere To Hyde -- An Island of Freedom
There's no question that part of Idaho's explosive growth over the past few years is due to people who perceive it as an island of freedom. Is this why the collectivists among us are so desperate to blunt the influence of these freedom lovers?

Fiscal Fridays: More funding won't fix doctor shortages
People are talking about a doctor shortage in Idaho. Big government advocates want to solve the program through more money and more government programs. But what if we instead streamlined the process to allow more qualified physicians to begin practicing?

Deregulation: The prescription for cost and scarcity in healthcare
Under a shroud of good intentions, government regulations often hurt the very people they intend to help. This is because the bureaucratic hurdles created by regulations cause the free market to become lethargic, which stunts simple solutions to large-scale problems.
Today, we look into how Idaho has successfully used deregulation by expanding the prescription authority for pharmacists.

Audio of Kellogg SD director firing bus driver Dakota Mailloux
On Friday, June 2, 2023, Kellogg School District bus driver Dakota Mailloux brought his American flag to a protest in support of high school senior Travis Lohr, who had been sanctioned for saying "guys are guys and girls are girls". Mailloux was summarily fired by district leadership.
Despite the district maintaining that this action had nothing to do with Mailloux's freedom of speech, this audio that Mailloux recorded shows that he absolutely was fired because he took a stand for Travis.
