Illinois State Senator Andrew Chesney (R-Freeport) rose to speak out against House Bill 2350 during floor debate in the Illinois Senate. This woke proposal seeks to amend the Illinois Insurance Code to remove gendered terms in sections that relate to pap smears and prostate exams, by replacing references to ‘men’ and ‘women’ with “individuals.” “This bill is outrageous. It is biologically impossible for a female to receive a prostate exam and it is equally impossible for a male to receive a pap smear,” continued Chesney. “At a time when people are leaving our state in droves, I can’t believe these are the priority bills the Democrats are bringing forward.” Illinois Democrats in the General Assembly passed this bill and Governor JB Pritzker is expected to sign it into law.

During a U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) grilled Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas about the horrific state of the southern border, accusing Mayorkas of refusing to answer direct questions with direct answers. "If you had integrity, you would resign," the Texas Republican said. "The men and women of the Border Patrol, they have never had a political leader undermine them. They despise you, Mr. Secretary, because you are willing to let children be raped to follow political orders." Other senators also harshly criticized Mayorkas for insisting that the border was secure. “Did you just parachute in from another planet, Mr. Secretary?” U.S. Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) asked rhetorically. “Because you’re the only person in the Milky Way who believes that we’re not having massive, massive illegal immigration into America.”

State Senator Celina Villanueva (D-Chicago) is the chief sponsor of SB 1909, which is titled the “Deceptive Practices of Limited Services Pregnancy Centers Act.” This overbearing proposal passed in committee today on a partisan roll call. Planned Parenthood of Illinois wants to weaponize the government against pro-life advocates and claim they mislead clients. Pregnancy care centers do not engage in “deceptive practices” but rather vital life-giving work. The people at these centers minister to needy, vulnerable women and children and are supported by people of faith across the state who want to be a blessing.

Riley Gaines, a 12-time NCAA All-American and five-time SEC Champion, acknowledges that the fight to keep confused transgender men from participation in women’s sports is more than a political issue — it’s “spiritual warfare.” “What we’re being asked to do is to deny objective truth. It’s to deny the sky is blue, is to say that men and women are the same,” Gaines said. “We’re equal, but we’re not the same … I feel like we’re in this battle of really spiritual warfare. It’s no longer good or bad or right or wrong. This is like moral versus evil.” Gaines has become an outspoken critic of the Joe Biden administration's interpretation of Title IX to ban discrimination based on gender identity instead of solely sex. She has also testified in front of various state legislative committee's to stop this woke agenda to erase biological women and their sports. May God bless and protect this fearless young lady!

An interesting discussion State Representative LaShawn Ford about his parental bullying bill, HB 29. The bill’s synopsis states that a parent commits “parental bullying” “when he or she knowingly and with the intent to discipline, embarrass, or alter the behavior of the minor, transmits any verbal or visual message that the parent or legal guardian reasonably believes would coerce, intimidate, harass, or cause substantial emotional distress to the minor.” It’s beyond understanding that lawmakers are now attempting to put an end to a parent’s role to attempt to change bad behavior in their child. If that’s not ridiculous enough, if found guilty, a fine could be imposed upon the parent that would be held in escrow and given to the minor when he/she turned 18. Talk about an incentive for kids to take their parents to court for doing their job!

On February 9, the Illinois General Assembly introduced two bills—one in the House, one in the Senate—both entitled the “Deceptive Practices of Limited Services Pregnancy Centers Act.” The contents of HB 2463, introduced by State Representative Terra Costa Howard (D-Lombard) and SB 1909, introduced by State Senator Celina Villanueva (D-Chicago) are identical, and both bills seek to radically curtail the operations of “limited services pregnancy centers.”

In his annual budget address on Wednesday, February 15th, Gov. Pritzker proposed that state officials spend $49.6 billion of tax dollars on a host of big government programs, especially in the areas of education and "human services," including $5 million to train people to kill babies in the womb. Pritzker also proposed spending $250 million to provide free pre-school for children as young as 3-years-old. We are thrilled to have heard Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R-AR) give the official Republican response to President Joe Biden’s State of the Union Tuesday night (Feb. 7, 2023). She rightly pointed out that the dividing line in America is between normal and crazy. In fact she used the word "crazy" three times. She also used the word "woke" twice. While pundits are analyzing and parsing both speeches, they seem to be glancing over how Gov. Sanders may have laid the foundation for impeaching President Biden when she said, “President Biden is unwilling to defend our border, defend our skies, and defend our people. He is unfit to serve as commander in chief." I believe this is vitally important and central to his failure to uphold his oath of office. The oath is found in Article II of the U.S. Constitution. It contains 35 words and goes as follows: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." Two years into the Biden Administration there is ample and mounting evidence that Biden is failing to uphold his primary duty as president to defend our borders. We hope that Republicans are serious about this when she said, "we will hold the Biden administration accountable." It was also encouraging to hear Gov. Sanders point out that the Left expects us to "salute their flags, and worship their false idols." She is correct. The godless left not only wants us to salute their flags, they want us to celebrate them. They will not tolerate anything less. Just ask Jack Phillips. Even though he won in 2018 at the U.S. Supreme Court after refusing to make a gay couple’s wedding cake because of his Christian faith, there is a new lawsuit against Phillips because of his rejection of a request for a birthday cake celebrating a gender transition.

Rebecca, a 17-year old girl, spoke to the Santee City Council in California about her experience in a YMCA locker room. As she was showering, she noticed a naked male in the locker room which terrified her and caused her to hide until he left. When she asked management about their transgender policy, they told her the man in question was allowed to shower wherever he wanted. When asked if she felt “empowered” because of this transgender inclusivity, she responded, “No, not at all… my safety, my privacy was threatened… No, this is absolutely not empowering whatsoever.”
