I just found a MK4 GTI with blown engine. Maybe more accurate a VR6 with a broken timing chain. Drove 4 hours to pick up this $500 GTI. The plan is to fix it, sell it, and document the whole process. Many European cars come with wheel bolts. A common modification is to replace the wheel bolts with more common wheel studs and nuts. Personally I prefer lug bolts to nuts. But I’m the odd one. In this video we will install coilovers on a mk3 VW. In addition to replacing and adjusting coilovers, we are replacing control arm bushings, ball joints, sway bar bushings, and more. This is basically a complete suspension overhaul to fix bouncy suspension, worn out suspension bushings, and lower the car. The suspension noise this car has was bad!!! A VW Check Engine Light? NO WAY! Today we repair a TDI Touareg with a P205B code for reductant tank temperature sensor. I will show you how to replace the Adblue heater in a 2015 Touareg. The 1.8t VW and Audi engine has been around a while. In this video we do a 1.8t timing belt replacement, show the 1.8t timing marks, look at 1.8t cam timing, we also install the VW 1.8t Cam chain tensioner.
