Homeless Dog Gets Saved And Taken Through Incredible Transformation
Your dog is probably the one who loves you more than anyone else in the world. There’s simply no creature more loyal or reliable out there. Who else follows you everywhere, literally jumps for joy when you come home, and simply loves you for you who are? However, not all of them are lucky enough to have a loving owner so some of them get mistreated and abbused. However, this is a story with a happy end.
There are approximately 1.2 million dogs trying to survive on the streets of Houston. Sick, injured and abused dogs are simply discarded like trash and left to die. Benji was an abused and abandoned young dog trying to survive on Houston's harsh streets. Watch this little dog's remarkable and inspiring story. Benji now lives a very blessed life with six other rescued dogs who all had tragic stories of their own.
Local dog rescue volunteers were alerted and Benji was found. It was Halloween so they named her Benji. What the picture didn’t show was that that Pumpkin was not alone. She had a puppy who was covered in fleas, unweaned and struggling to stay alive.
The doctors and nurses worked hard for days to keep them both alive. Benji was barely a year old and one very sick little girl. Tragically, her baby was too weak and undernourished to survive. She crossed over the Rainbow bridge surrounded by love and warmth.
Benji was a homeless dog his whole life. When Hope For Paws received the call about him, I asked Lisa Chiarelli to join me. Benji was very nervous, and when he realized that we were looking at him, he started running, and we started running after him! It was a little tricky because I had to keep an eye on him while running, and at the same time I had to set up my gentle snare AND keep my hand held camera straight – you’ll just have to see how I managed all that ;-)
After Lisa and I secured Benji, we got to take a close look him. Physically: he was so badly matted, covered with ticks and fleas, he bit his tongue as he was struggling to escape from us, so you’ll see a little bleeding – nothing serious. Mentally: Benji was living on the streets all his life, so human contact was so hard for him to get used to. After a 2 or 3 hours of grooming and medical care, he continued to Lisa Chiarelli’s house where for 10 days he almost didn’t move… frozen, always looking for a place to hide, and not wanting anyone to touch him. As usual, Lisa’s Pit Bull mixes - Lola and Frankie, decided to help Benji overcome his fears, and the result will make you so happy!!!
After we could see the change in him, Benji continued for further rehabilitation with our friends at PAL rescue, and they will also handle his adoption.
The process took 5 months of love and care – these things take time.
Please SHARE Benji’s video and help us show the world that all dogs deserve a second chance.
Thanks,
Eldad

Stray Dog Helps Her Rescuers Find Her Surviving Puppy
The Streets of Los Angeles are overflowing with stray dogs, left to fend for their own selves. Many of those strays are in terrible shape of worse, and most of them aren’t spayed or neutered, which in turn results in even more stray dogs, roaming the streets.
Hope For Paws, an animal rescue organization, received a call that one such homeless pup was in dire straits and living in a nursery. Rescuers Eldad Hagar and Lisa Arturo reported on the scene, to find a gray dog, which was wagging her tail but didn’t trust the human enough to approach them, so she hid under a car.
When the rescuers came closer to the scared puppy, she was still wagging her tail but wouldn’t go near them. Since she was almost inaccessible, they had to take drastic measure and grab her by the hind legs to pull her from under the car, kicking and screaming. Eventually she calmed down enough for them to put a leash on her and give her a pretty name, Petunia.
They noticed she was lactating, so they let mom Petunia lead them to her litter, where they found only one puppy, just two days old. The puppy was also a girl, so they named her Petals.
Both mom and baby were taken really good care of and placed in a foster home, waiting to be adopted!
Please donate $5 and help send us on the next rescue mission: http://www.HopeForPaws.org

Little Dog Gets Rescued From The River And Makes A Miraculous Recovery
Cue the waterworks and make sure you’ve got a box of tissues handy, because if this video doesn’t have you bawling (sad tears at first, then joyful ones), then you, my friend, have no soul. Hope for Paws in Los Angeles received a phone call reporting a puppy floating alone in the middle of the L.A. River. Somebody had abused the poor pup—leaving him minus a leg—and then tossed him into the canal more than thirty feet below. It’s a heartbreaking beginning to a story that—thanks to the many, many good hearted people involved in animal rescue in California—has a happy ending.
Volunteers were able to get out to the puppy and pull him from his dire predicament, before taking him to an animal hospital to receive the medical care and attention he desperately needed. From there, the puppy was placed in a foster home with a foster dog “mom” and big foster brothers and sisters to look after him. The brave, resilient puppy flourished in his happy new home environment, and trust us when you say that your heart will explode with joy by the time you get to the end of this video and see this happy little guy running, jumping, playing with his fur friends, and even swimming in a swimming pool! Living his very best life, in other words—and one that he richly deserves after everything he had to do to get there.
While we know how dismaying it can be to realize that there are actually people in this world who would do something like this to a defenseless animal, it also gives us renewed faith in humanity to see how very many people there are who are willing to help a helpless creature in need—and, ultimately, the number of “good guys” far outstrips the number of bad. This video is a bit of an emotional journey, but it’s one well worth taking—so we encourage you to hit the Play button now and set off as quickly as possible. This is just the pick me up that you need in your day—and one that you’ll definitely want to share with others in need of a little bit of restored faith themselves. And don’t forget our warning from earlier about breaking out the tissue box before you sit down to watch this. You’re definitely going to need them!

Rescuer Asks For Homeless Dog’s Paw But He Leans In For A Hug Instead
Pets are amazing companions that overall make our lives much better. Sure, they can be a lot of hard work to raise, some might say it is almost like raising another child, but those challenges are heavily outweighed by the amazing love and memories that they will give that will last a life time. It is because of this that pets should be treated with the utmost respect and care. It is always sad to see pets abandoned and left alone. However as sad and heartbreaking that might be, there is no moment like rescuing that said pet from it's hard times. That seems to be exactly the case in this video right here!
In this heartwarming clip, pet rescue working find a neglected cocker spaniel and save it. The poor dog has been left starving, only to have these rescue workers feed it and save it. It was a good thing that these people came along when they did as the unthinkable could have happened to this dog if they came any later. These people are true heroes in our books! Faith in humanity restored!
Please share this heartwarming video with your family and friends to show the importance of having a pet and treating them with the utmost respect and care! This is one clip that no one should miss!

Microchip Implants Help Reunite Lost Dogs With Owners
Kind citizen Allison Dunbar noticed a dog hiding underneath a car which was parked on the side of a busy street and decided to give Hope For Paws a call in order for their team to come to the rescue.
She tried to get the dog out but the pooch was so scared. Allison was afraid that the dog might feel threatened and chased by her, that she may run out from her hiding place and into the busy street.
She When the man from Hope For Paws arrived at the scene, he started throwing small pieces of food at the dog, but the scared dog wasn’t interested in the food. Upon the failed attempt to lure the dog with food, the man decided to enclose the car by putting up a fence around the vehicle, preventing the scared dog to run out on the busy street. The fencing and netting helped keep the dog in place, limiting her moves.
Next, they proceeded with their mission by placing a Lucky leash on this tiny dog’s neck and using it to guide the pooch out from its hiding place. It was the soothing voice and the gentle touch of her rescuer that encouraged this dog to come out of the dark hiding place and walk into the light. The man was petting and soothing the dog with his sweet voice. Moments later, the pooch even got the nerve to get into this man’s lap. Amazing!
The man checked the dog for a microchip. When he heard the beep sound he immediately knew that she is domesticated. This enabled him to call this dog’s owners and inform them that they found her! Using the microchip information they were able to call her dad, Dave, who informed them that her name was Luna.
It was four days earlier that Dave had been walking Luna and her brother when a car sped through a crosswalk and struck her brother. Though her brother wasn’t badly injured, in all the chaos Luna slipped out of her collar and ran away. Dave had been searching for her ever since.
