This pair is our original Canary Couple they are very territorial and fend off 2-3 other couples. This breed of birds are unique as they rarely are alone they always seem to be together as a couple these 2 have been coming to eat in our yard for over 3 years now and respond to “Babies” our nickname for them so we can call them when we are able to sit and watch them eat. We only feed certain birds that don’t make a big mess and the birds respond to our calls or they will come to a tree in our yard and chirp asking to be fed I’m amazed at just how intelligent many bird species are boy oh boy they can be really smart especially the Common Minah and the Northern Cardinals and of course “Babies”

The grapes were out fir a bit as soon as I placed more in the Hibiscus these 2 White Eyes were so excited and Happy

Went to Nor Cal to Visit my Mother and a crow was cawing at me so I threw some bread into the court just to see if they would have a meal and have been feeding them daily these birds are a trip such intelligent critters they are getting to know me and they will eat about anything that’s leftover I’m really enjoying their company and watching their behavior I swear they are smarter than my brother

This young lady is new and has only been visiting for a bit over a Week it’s taken this long to have her not fly away when I open the dour to take a video

A Japanese White Eye family and the parents are teaching their babies to eat

They are enjoying my wife sitting outside since the bigger birds stay away and they get to eat such a cute family

Just another day in Paradise and our happy back yard birds

This little Baby Red Whiskered Bulbul is not a perfect specimen and was abandoned but the little guy knows our yard and we are making sure that there is a variety of food for it the first day of it being abandoned it went to different adults begging to be fed but has since just decided it is going to live and feed itself what a little trooper there are a lot of things that just don’t seem right about this bird but we love it’s zest to survive

So many birds Japanese White Eye’s, Red crested Cardinals, Red Whiskered Bulbul, Common House Finch’s

This Baby Red Crested Cardinal (they have a brown crest as babies) was brought by its parent to learn how to feed itself at a safe and easy place to eat

Daddy-O claims our yard as his territory he’s actually protective yet kind all at one time such a cool bird

He just gets so relaxed and is such a great friend

Our 15 year old Border Collie can barely walk these days but he still loves his pool and gets so relaxed he starts falling asleep

This guy came out of nowhere I’ve never seen him before but he just jumped into the seed bowls and had a meal it would have been interesting if Daddy-O our buddy Male Cardinal was nearby just to watch him chase off this guy

It’s Red Vented Bulbul baby time so many parent Bulbuls are coming by for grapes and papayas to feed their offspring it was hard locating the babies with my phones camera but I did find them :-)

Our Buddies the Canaries (Saffron Finch’s) we named “Babies” this pair comes to eat when we call out Babies but so do the Common House Finches now but “Babies” also call us asking to be fed it didn’t take them long to train us the Saffron’s are very territorial but now their offspring are coming even though the parents try to chase them off so we used to only see this pair and at times their youngsters now we have 3 mated pairs and a single female well she’s single for now I’m curious if when she gets a mate that she’ll still visit us at any rate we love our Back Yard Birds

This is the first of the teens to start coming by for the free seeds soon we will have a lot of these teens visiting us

A Red Crested Cardinal as a baby has a brown crest I call them teenagers when the crown starts turning red as with any teen they are very brave at this age

Daddy/O takes his job seriously and is always feeding his wife this Time a grape I put out for them

This Male is nicknamed Daddy-Onand he knows his name this visit I saw him but he also a calls us and will look inside our Master Bedroom Sliding Glass door to see if we are home and chirp to let us know he’s hungry and would like the seeds. What a cool bird Buddy

This is Momma the coolest bird in my world for sure she’s awesome and so damn cool color wise she’s a real plain Jane probably the most plain Jane female I’ve ever seen but damn she Rocks we know her so well we can read her moods she’s going thru some sort of a loss right now as she stays silent when she’s happy again she’ll start talking to us a total sweetie
