High Flight 1957
High Flight is a 1957, CinemaScope, American, cold war children’s film in Technicolor, directed by John Gilling and featuring Ray Milland, Bernard Lee and Leslie Phillips. High Flight was filmed with the co-operation of the Royal Air Force (RAF). The title of the film was derived from the poem of the same title by Pilot Officer John Gillespie Magee, Jr., an American aviator who flew for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) and lost his life in 1941 over RAF Cranwell, where much of the film was shot.

Stipendiary Magistrate Charles Pitto arrested
The arrest and the alleged offence
The RGP has limited itself to confirming a 62-year-old man has been arrested and is on bail until next month.
The alleged incident is said to have taken place last Thursday, the police has not said where; the arrest was made on Tuesday morning but communicated today.
Under Gibraltar law, a person commits an offence if they (a) intentionally expose their genitals; and (b) intends that someone will see them and be caused alarm or distress.
The Chief Justice's statement
The Chief Justice, Anthony Dudley, has issued the following statement:
Mr Charles Pitto, Stipendiary Magistrate and Coroner, is the subject of a police investigation into allegations against him. In that regard it would be inappropriate to comment further while the investigation is active.
In the meantime Mr Pitto shall not be performing any of the functions of the various judicial offices which he holds and I have requested the Judicial Service Commission to engage in a disciplinary process.
The day-to-day operations of the Magistrates’ and Coroner’s Courts will remain unaffected.
Why has he been named if he hasn't been charged?
Some have asked: why has GBC named Mr Pitto if he has been arrested but not charged by police?
Usually GBC only names individuals once they have been charged by police for criminal offences, but there are occasions when the person arrested is of such a high public standing that we believe it is in the public interest for the individual to be named.
Mr Pitto was in the news in June, when he found the former police commissioner Ian McGrail not guilty of sexual assault.
As he said himself at the time, it is the Crown’s job to prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt: until such a time as they are proven guilty, individuals are presumed to be innocent.

Neal Mohan the Pious
#avidgardener
If someone is deeply religious and visibly follows all the moral and ethical codes of his religion, he is pious. Don't become a priest if you're not prepared to live a pious life.
Pious comes from the Latin pius, which means dutiful. It doesn't always have to be used to talk about organized religion. If someone believes deeply in something, and lets everyone see it through their behavior, then they are pious, whether they're pious Christians or pious environmentalists. It differs from its synonym devout, which implies deep religious sentiment, whereas pious emphasizes the public display of feeling.

One of our aircraft is missing.
One of Our Aircraft Is Missing (stylized onscreen as ......one of our aircraft is missing) is a 1942 British black-and-white war film, mainly set in the German-occupied Netherlands. It was the fourth collaboration between the British writer-director-producer team of Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger and the first film they made under the banner of The Archers.
Although considered a propaganda film and made under the authority of the Ministry of Information as part of a series of film productions specifically aimed at morale in the United Kingdom, it is elevated by the story and production values above the usual jingoistic fare. Today, One of Our Aircraft Is Missing is considered one of the "best of British films of the era".
A reversal of the plot of Powell and Pressburger's previous film, 49th Parallel (1941), One of Our Aircraft Is Missing has the British trying to escape with the help of various locals. In the 49th Parallel, the Germans stranded in Canada argued and fought amongst themselves, while the British fliers in this film work well together as a team.
