the last place to visit leaving Arizona is the Grand Canyon. Of course we had to stop and see this spectacular place. We boondocked while we were there.

After we had so much fun climbing Cathedral Rock we wanted more. Bell Rock looked like fun but turned out to be more challenging... for some.

After rushing from Texas to Arizona we are staying in Cottonwood and are exploring the area. Sedona is nearby and we fall in love with the area immediately. Our first hike is up to Cathedral Rock. We take our kids and dog but not all of them make it up there. The hike is fun and the boys are enjoying it especially. The view from the top is inspiring and well worth the effort.

The Petrified Forest is right off Route 40. We spent the night close by and drove from the North entrance South back to Route 40. We had no idea how great the ride through this National Park was going to be. There is so much to see, petrified wood obviously but also the painted desert, native American culture, old Route 66, amazing vistas and more. It took us a good 8 hours to get through and we still missed some of the things to see because we were short on time in the end. If you're close you have to stop by!

We continue our journey and see more fun things along the way.

After we spent over 2 months in Texas we had towards Sedona where we have reservations. It is a trip on which we see a lot and move fast. Come join us!

We are staying at a state park near Waco and of course Andrea thinks we need to check out the Silos in Waco. And we actually had a good time.

We bought salmon and prepare it for dinner. Mom is not here so it needs to be simple but still delicious.

We are on our way to Dallas when we experience our first technical malfunction. One of the wheels has seized up and does not turn. It is Friday afternoon and there is no one who can help us until after the weekend. But it's not all bad news.

After traveling 6 months all over the country we finally have an idea where to store everything. We show you through our RV. come have a look!!

We visit Hunsader Farms and a showcase of citrus in Florida . Both are very similar in that they are producing food, have a market stand or shop and they are very entertaining for the whole family. We found both worth visiting.

It was May 5th so we had to have Mexican food.

We meet at Garner State park with friends we have met in Florida. Our paths crossed several times and we decided to meet at this beautiful State Park at the Frio River.

We bought crayfish in Louisiana and had some other ingredients for Jambalaya. We don't exactly follow the recipe so it turns out more like a risotto but is delicious anyway.

A visit to San Antonio is a must the city has been on our list for a long time. We pay the missions a visit, spend some time at the Alamo and naturally walk along the river.

W visit the second most important mission in Texas second only to the Alamo and learn how Texas won it's independence from Mexico. Coincidentally, the birthplace of General Ignacio Saragoza, the general who fought of the French on May fifth - Cinco de Mayo is right opposite the fortress La Bahia.

As the pool is closed at the TT at Lake Medina we decide to go to Jellystone RV resort in Kerrville until the pool is fixed. It is like heaven for our kids.

We are cooking a meal for our family over the fire and the kids are loving it. Of course there are so'mores involved.

When we get to Lake Medina we realize there is no lake. So we have to find things to do in the dried out lake bed.

In Texas we go to one of our first Harvest Host sites, a farm near Houston with wonderful hosts and a farm store with the most beautiful produce and paraphernalia.
