Jesse and Viola get a late night call to rescue a desperate water snake. The directions take them down a dark country road where they hope to save a snake's life, and release her back into the wild before it's too late.

Jesse and Viola head to Philadelphia, to rescue a stranded snapping turtle from a backyard pool! Once they catch the turtle, they will have to find a place to release him.

Jesse meets an enthusiastic Eastern Milk Snake along the trail, and spends some time getting to know him before releasing him on the other side. We attempty to learn about the different markings on milk snakes and copperheads, and a few other fun facts about milk snakes, like seeing them eat other snakes. But it's difficult for Jesse to finish a complete thought because he keep getting interrupted by the snake biting him. More than fifty times!

Jesse introduces you to the North American Wood Turtle, while exploring an area that is FULL of them! In less than 10 minutes, we find several turtles emerging from hibernation on a beautiful Spring day in the northeastern United States. You'll also see photos of other turtle species emerging from hibernation, and another wood turtle moving full speed in the summer months. We learn that copperheads are not aggressive, that they only bite in defense, that their venom is not usually deadly to humans, that their venom is even used to fight cancer, and that they are a protected species in Pennsylvania.
