Off-Grid Solar Setup 2021
This is a sort of follow-up to a video I made 4 years ago where I set up an emergency back-up home power source and my intentions were to add a solar power setup to the mix. I finally set it up this at the beginning of this summer and it worked great. It worked so well that I ran my shop off-grid the whole summer and I actually seen my power bill drop by $30.00 a month. The new setup also worked great as back-up power during storm outages. I hope this build and concept along with what I discuss here in this video help others who are considering trying their hand at solar power along with a back-up emergency setup that doesn't require a generator or fuel for power outages. This setup can carry you for days and days or longer if needed keeping your important things powered up in your home such as your refrigerator, your freezer along with a few lights and your entertainment center and especially as a way to recharge cellphones up during a power outage.

New Imbert Design 1st Build Continued. Video 08 - 03 07 2013
The Imbert gasifier design is moving right along and will soon be tested for gas production. As mentioned I actually built two of these side by side with one being a multi-nozzle air intake and the second build which looks identical to this one only having a single air nozzle down the center of the hearth. Imbert Gasifier 1st Build Video 07 - 02/19/2013
And so it begins! This is the first Imbert gasifier I built This build was a multi-nozzle design. I would find myself building two versions of this gasifier side by side at the same time! I wound up giving this one to a prepper and I kept the simpler single nozzle design for myself. If this interest you please bookmark this channel. Tri-Filter Confirmed On A Second Demonstration. Video 06 - 01/15/2013
Now we are starting to get somewhere with the new Tri-Filter design and it's really showing promise to be able to clean up the output of a FEMA gasifier. This really paid off with the Imbert design that I built a bit later. If this topic is of interest to you please bookmark this channel and stay tuned. Tri-Filter Setup And Explainations Continued Video 05 - 01/05/2013
This is an explanation of the first Tri-Filter design that would become the foundation for the later filter designs used on the Imbert gasifier build. FEMA Gasifier Test With New Filtering Video 04 - 12/31/2012
Now the fun begins with experimenting with new filter designs in the hopes of cleaning up the gas produced from a FEMA gasifier in the hopes of making it gasoline engine friendly. The experimenting really paid off and this design was eventually refined and made it's way to the Imbert gasifier designs I would soon be working on. FEMA Gasifier Follow-Up Video 03 - 12/25/2012
Once I got a basic working unit I experimented with it trying to find a way to produce engine safe fuel. This led me to designing a solid filtering which would be refined and used in the later Imbert gasifier builds I would try my hand at. All of the experimentation paid off. Please keep in mind that these are my early attempts at building wood gasifiers and as I have mentioned in the earlier videos I advise you not to waste your time building any type of FEMA gasifiers because they do not produce clean fuel and they can gum up valves in a gasoline engine. FEMA Gasifier Follow-Up Video 02 - 12/20/2012
This is a follow-up of the FEMA build I made in 12/20/2012. I tried to document my builds which eventually became my journey into learning this process. As I mentioned in the first gasifier video I will be uploading a complete "How To Build" volume of videos showing you how to build a Imbert gasifier which produces engine safe fuel. First FEMA Gasifier Build Video 01 - 12/09/2012
The first time I heard of using wood as a fuel to run a gasoline engine I was fascinated with the thought of having the ability to do this so I studied this topic and then sat down and built a simple FEMA gasifier. It produced usable gas but the downfall of a FEMA gasifier is it doesn't get hot enough to crack the tars in the woodgas which can damage an engine with tar buildup in the valves if it's not filtered carefully. My advise is not to build a FEMA. If this topic interest you There is a much better robust build that produces safe clean woodgas for running engines and I will not only be uploading my newer builds but I will also be showing you how to build gasifiers in detail. The build I am making reference to is a Imbert gasifier designed by a German builder during WW2 when Germany was out of gasoline and they needed an emergency fuel to keep their country going so if this interest you please bookmark this channel and be checking back for updated videos. First Imbert Gasifier Test 04/18/2013
And so it begins. This is my first actual test of the new Imbert gasifier. This allowed me to get a sense of how the gasifier behaved which would allow me to tinker with the design so that I could start the process of fine tuning the gasifier followed with eventually getting it off of the carport and onto a platform on wheels as a completed unit.
