Christian Standard Bible Review
Do you read the Christian Standard Bible (CBS)?
In this video I look at the CSB and how it differs from other translations and from the HCSB.
With the goals of increased fidelity to the original Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic texts and increased clarity for today’s readers, the Translation Oversight Committee updated the text of the Holman Christian Standard Bible. This translation, renamed the Christian Standard Bible, incorporates advances in biblical scholarship and input from Bible scholars, pastors, and readers to sharpen both accuracy and readability.

Esther – God hidden in plain view
The Book of Esther does not contain any allusion to God, but it is positively awash with Him! He has embedded His very Name throughout the Book as a signed guarantee that this is His Word.

The Chronological Study Bible
The Chronological Study Bible presents Scripture in chronological order - the order in which the events happened - with notes, articles, and full-colour graphics that connect the reader to the history and culture of biblical times.
Starting with creation and moving through God's people in the Old Testament, the life of Jesus and the birth of the church, this Bible provides a vivid picture of God's work throughout history.
Why were there 10 plagues?
In Exodus 7 - 12 we read about the ten plagues that God brought on Pharaoh and Egypt .
Were they random things that God threw at Pharaoh or was there a more calculated reason?
In this video we look at how God executed judgement against the gods of Egypt.

Literal Standard Version Bible
The literal Standard Version Bible
Published in 2020 the Literal Standard version Bible is another excellent literal translation of the original scriptures.
The LSV is a major revision of Robert Young's Literal Translation. The Old Testament is based upon the Masoretic Text (MT) with strong influence from the Septuagint (LXX).
The New Testament is based upon the Textus Receptus and Majority Text, although the translators consulted other manuscripts: "in certain, specific instances other manuscript versions and text-types are used where the evidence seems incontrovertible (e.g., the LXX and DSS in the Hebrew and Aramaic; the Alexandrian in the Greek)."

Was Joseph Communist?
In a previous video we looked at how Joseph ended up in Egypt on an alternate timeline from the one that God wanted for Jacob and his family
But was he the special saviour for Egypt and the world at that time, or was he someone who reduced the country to a place of slavery and totalitarianism?
As individuals and as a church body, we must stay true to God’s word no matter how much society changes for the worse, and we must always examine the nation we live in and our lives – are we slowly being boiled alive, loosing morals, loosing justice, losing truth and losing our freedom?

Joseph's Alternate Timeline
Was Joseph on God's timeline, or did he end up on an alternate timeline because of his brothers?
Are we meant to go to "Egypt" when things are tough, or does God expect us to trust and rely upon Him?
