Long Story Short Episode 77: Immune System Flare-up in Long COVID Patients After Vaccination
In this study, researchers from Cedars-Sinai Los Angeles and Brigham and Women's Hospital Boston demonstrate that vaccination in long COVID patients causes a flare-up of the immune system. Flare-up is my (Dr. Been’s) word. They used the word “aberrant” in some places. The comparison cohort were non-infected individuals as reference and infected and recovered as comparison cohort. Let's review.

Kid's Corner with Dr. Liz: The MMWR study on Pediatric Patients and Myocarditis
In this episode of ‘Kid’s Corner’, Dr. Liz Mumper discusses pediatric myocarditis. Here, she discusses the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) study showing the incidence of myocarditis in pediatric patients, with natural COVID-19 infections compared to those that received the COVID-19 mRNA vaccines. Dr. Mumper demystifies the data in the study and the study design, and compares it to the recommendations from CDC Director, Dr. Mandy Cohen. Especially with matters of heart health (like infant myocarditis), we encourage you to read the study, watch these videos, and form your own opinion.

Kid's Corner with Dr. Liz: MIS-C (Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children) and COVID-19
In this episode of Kid’s Corner, Dr. Liz Mumper discusses MIS-C (Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children) and the incidence of this diagnosis with COVID-19. Dr. Mumper also explains whether or not receiving COVID-19 vaccinations prevents MIS-C by breaking down this study: https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2022.09.30.22280573v2.full-text
MIS-C is also referred to as Pediatric Inflammatory Multisystem Syndrome temporally associated with SARS-COV2 (PIM-TS).
Common symptoms of MIS-C in babies show as a rash and/or diarrhea. In older children, the symptoms are respiratory.
MIS-C is similar to Kawasaki’s disease, although the symptoms usually resolve in contrast to Kawasaki’s disease.
Treatment for MIS-C includes:
• supportive care and observation
• maintaining volume status as dehydration worsens symptoms
• steroids
• IVIG
• Interleukin blockers
• anti-coagulation
• cardiology work-up with an EKG and cardiac echo

Learn more about FLCCC Weekly Webinars: https://covid19criticalcare.com/category/weekly-webinars/
“There’s not supposed to be any DNA in these products. These are modified mRNA products. Now, how did the DNA get in here?” Dr. Jessica Rose, PhD spoke with Dr. Pierre Kory about serious issues with the mRNA vaccine platform. Dr. Janci Lindsay then joined for a followup discussion on why mRNA vaccines were allowed to be manufactured and given to the public without regular safety controls.

Shannon and her husband Matt had ivermectin already “just in case” thanks to the FLCCC and a tele doc. When his Mom, who was recently diagnosed with blood cancer, got COVID they gave her ivermectin. Kid's Corner with Dr. Liz: Food, Behavior, and Polyphenols
In this episode of ‘Kid's Corner’, pediatrician Dr. Liz Mumper explains the link between food behavior and polyphenols. Foods that contain polyphenols include blueberries, plums, cherries, apples, strawberries, black currants, black olives, dark chocolate, black tea, coffee, hazelnuts and pecans. Some spices, including turmeric, cloves, cinnamon, ginger and cumin are also high in polyphenols. When children have an intolerance to polyphenols, they can exhibit strange behaviors including hyperactivity, aggression, night sweats and sleep issues, and their ears and cheeks may become flushed. Dr. Mumper notes that this intolerance occurs more often in children with autism. She also discusses strategies for discovering if your child has this dietary issue.

Long Story Short Episode 70: High Fibrinogen and D-Dimers Linked to Long COVID
In this early pandemic study of COVID-19 confirmed hospitalized patients, researchers found two groups of individuals with biomarker profiles: the first had high fibrinogen levels in relation to C-Reactive proteins (CRP) and the second had an increase in D-Dimers in relation to CRP. These molecules generally increase in relation to CRP; however, here the researchers found that the fibrinogen and D-Dimers increased while the CRP stayed low. These cohorts were associated with higher likelihood of neurological long COVID. Let's review both the findings and the mechanisms.
