What do you call a Fishing Trip without any fish to keep? That's right....an Excursion. ;-P Road trip was okay. It was interesting driving the inland back roads of Hokkaido, Japan. As Day turns into night, the roads come alive, quite literally. Teeming with wildlife, I should say. From Foxes, Raccoons, Rare Birds, Deer, and if you get lucky, Bears! :-)...So I was extra careful, on high alert/state of readiness, and getting my instincts on standby when driving at night, as it could get dicey if you don't pay attention. So......Here is the Plan......There's No Plan It's still a Plan nonetheless. Never expected anything or any outcome from this trip. We've been warned. We've been told not to go because it's typhoon season... Which is true however, I still go because this might be the only time I can visit this part of the country. Somehow, was blessed with a lovely fine weather during this time. I just want to enjoy every moment I get with the time presented to me. and I'm very grateful for the opportunity to go to a few of these "remote" islands of Japan. Tokara-retto, you are BEAUtiful! It appears to be that somehow I survived, rested up, and got out from the Eastern part of the Island. Now Heading North... At the end of this day, I was able to reach pretty much the Northern Part of Iceland. With a bit of daylight to spare, I was able to explore a few places before it went dark. The Midnight Sun was Beautiful, even in a Desolate place. Better rest up for tomorrow's renewed Journey. ...and be looking for a place to bath and rejuvenate the soul. This day was exceptionally chilly...to the bone. I'm not stopping for anything, I pushed forward. For as long as, I am dry inside, I should be fine from the elements.
