Life of Elvis Podcast Ep.3 Pt.2: The Art of Expressive Living with Marni Ratner
Welcome back to the Life Of Elvis Podcast!
In episode 3 I interview Marni Ratner, who is a voice teacher and a breathwork coach. She is also an intuitive and creative spirit, a friend, teacher, empath, multidisciplinary energy worker, big time dreamer, bonafide goofball, and a fellow human traveler.
I must say, without any exaggeration, that this was one of the most impactful conversations of my entire life. It ended up very personal, as we discussed, amongst other things, the generational trauma in my family, the life and passing of my father, as well as my own trauma. Marni managed to blow my mind mutiple times over the course of this podcast. In other instances, she expressed what I somewhere deep down already knew in such a way, that it completely changed my perspective on the given topic/events.
Due to technical difficulties we wound up recording this podcast in two parts over the course of two days. Hence it will be released in two one hour long parts.
I hope you find at least as much value in this discussion as I did.

Ultimate Step-by-step Guide to the Wim Hof Breathing Method (Viewer's Request)
I was recently asked by one of you, my dear followers, to make a tutorial explaining the Wim Hof Breathing Method❄️☯️
Here's what you need to do:
1) Move to the Arctic
2) Go into a forest. Avoid hungry bears, wolves, and ferocious rodents.
3) Take your clothes off! You don't need them. Let the cold be your teacher!
4) Jokes aside, this is how you ACTUALLY do Wim's breathwork.
Start with 30 deep breaths. Breathe in as much air as possible, then let go. Don't try to push the air out, leave something in your lungs. Make sure you relax as much as possible, there's no rush.
After the 30 breaths, inhale and let go one last time. That's when you stop breathing. You will be able to hold it for 1 - 3 min, so just relax, clear your mind and be present.
Once you feel the slightest need to breathe again, take a deep breathe in and hold it for 10-15 seconds. Then breathe out. That was one round.
Repeat as many times as you feel comfortable with and remember never to force anything.
5) Go run a marathon in your shorts at - 20 degrees, like Wim himself😆

Crossfit vs. Slipknot
What do Corey and the Clown from Slipknot think of Crossfit Rows?
.
First of all... no. No. Just NO! 😆 Doing ANY exercise with bad form and using loads, and I mean like a ton of momentum is simply wrong. If you do it with good form, you'll stimulate your muscles way better, you are in full control of the exercise, you'll make more gains and the chances of an injury are way lower.
.
You can still do the concentric phase of the movement fast, but do it without kipping, keep your heels, hips and shoulders in one line, core engaged, and then do the eccentric phase slow. This way you'll get much more out of inverted rows.
.
Btw, not hating on Crossfit, there's some positive things about it. And when people get up and wanna do something good for themselves, that should be always encouraged. But, there are things that... just no☠️

Welcome and let's get ready to Rumble!
Hello everyone and welcome to my new Rumble account!
.
My name is Elvis, and yes, it is my real name. I am a Calisthenics athlete, although as a teenager I first started training martial arts. Despite bodyweight exercise being always a big part of my workouts, it wasn't until 2014 that I've shifted my focus fully on Calisthenics. (Also known as Street Workout, more on that in upcoming posts).
.
A year later I decided to make a big move and went to the UK, where I stayed for almost six years. After half a year spent in warehouses, during which I struggled quite a bit and gained weight, I got my certification and found my first job in a gym. I've been training people, teaching them Calisthenics and helping them make healthier choices ever since.
.
Recently I have moved countries, this time I went for a much colder, yet stunning place - Northern Sweden. Good thing I've been practicing the Wim Hof Method for the past 2 years!
.
I will be posting about all that I've mentioned above, as well training tips, nutrition, lifestyle advice, my own workouts, sharing progress on my other projects (my first book for example) and the lessons I've learned. Stay tuned💪
.
(The video is from my old gym, 2019)
