Adventures In Pattaya Thailand - Part 4 -
Pattaya is a city on Thailand’s eastern Gulf coast known for its beaches lined with resort hotels, high-rise condos, shopping malls, cabaret bars and 24-hour clubs. Nearby, hillside Wat Phra Yai Temple features an 18m-tall golden Buddha. The area also features several designer golf courses, some with views of Pattaya Bay. The giant Buddha of Wat Khao Phra Bat keeps watch over the city, and the wooden Wang Boran Sanctuary of Truth pays homage to Buddhist and Hindu art and architecture.
Pattaya Hotels and Travel Guide Pattaya Travel Information Pattaya is always switched on and fun. This vibrant coastal city shot to fame in early 1980s, and stayed there. From sunrise to sunset, Pattaya’s beaches are constantly brimming with life, as water sports lovers and sun worshippers take to the waters. After dark, the action shifts to the streets, as revellers explore its electrified nightlife scene, where drinking and partying continue until dawn. Apart from water sports and nightlife, Pattaya offers endless possibilities when it comes to accommodation and entertainment. It has outgrown its image as a seedy beach town to a destination for a wider audience; whether couples, families or business travellers, Pattaya has something for everyone. Only 147km from Bangkok, Pattaya is the closest of Thailand's major beach resorts to the capital city.
Pattaya Walking Street is the biggest and busiest party hotspot in the whole of Thailand, with only a couple of the top places in Bangkok beating it for sheer volume and variety. A full kilometre from its high-tech gateway at the Beach Road end to the Bali Hai Plaza end, almost every building along its length is a nightclub, go-go bar, beer bar or restaurant. Each of the side streets – which span from Soi 14 to Soi 16, with a couple of uniquely-named streets in between - is more of the same, making the whole southern end of the city into a warren of nightlife entertainments, with something for practically every taste. The remarkable thing about Pattaya Walking Street is that there is so much to see and do, and it is so densely packed that you could spend every night for a whole week there and, aside from having the mother of all hangovers, you would still be finding new places each and every evening. We have endeavored to survey the main points of interest and even here we are just scratching the surface of the hundreds of venues on and around the neon-drenched strip.
Walking Street is effectively a part of Pattaya Beach Road. While the main tarmac-topped route turns to the left to become South Pattaya Road (Pattaya Tai), vehicles can continue into the brick-paved Walking Street any time between about 02:00 and 18:00. At the end of the one-way road, you will find Bali Hai Pier and the famous Pattaya City sign, as well as the southernmost end of Pattaya Third Road, which will take you back into the city. There is more to the nightlife attractions of the area than just Pattaya Walking Street, however. Most of the small side sois which split off from the inland side of the street lead all the way to Pattaya Second Road, making this whole southern end of the city almost exclusively comprised of nightlife venues and related businesses. Walking Street has concentrations of different sorts of venues as you make your way along it. Starting from the Beach Road end, you will find first mostly restaurants, then go-go bars and beer bars, then nightclubs and live music bars. At about the halfway point is the famous Walking Street Tree (there’s only the one), around which you will find mostly ladyboy bars and clubs. Continuing towards Bali Hai Pier, you will see more tailors and gem shops as well as more hotels and guesthouses, culminating in the Siam Bayshore Resort & Spa. Parking for motorbikes is available close to Pattaya Walking Street in Soi 16 and at Bali Hai Plaza and costs about 20 baht. However, driving home after a night of partying is not at all recommended. You would be much safer using the plentiful supply of motorbike taxis and songthaews available.

World's Biggest Water Fight - Adventures In Pattaya ~ Part 3 ~ Songkran ~ Thailand
Music: The Walwrath (Escape From Hell Mix) by Dhruva Aliman - Amazon - https://amzn.to/2B9tGa7 - https://dhruvaaliman.bandcamp.com/album/road-of-fortunes - http://www.dhruvaaliman.com/ - Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/artist/5XiFCr9iBKE6Cupltgnlet ...Songkran is an annual festival which takes place over three days during the traditional Thai New Year, April 13th-15th (in almost all provinces). The official Songkran festival lasts three days but in reality the whole week is taken over by a mass celebration as the whole country shuts down for a momentous water fight. Wild scenes of exuberance can be seen throughout the Kingdom with music, dancing, drinking and people drenched from head to toe. Water guns, hose pipes, buckets, in fact, anything you can get your hands on can be used to splash people, and one thing is for certain: you will get wet! As April is the hottest month of the year in Thailand, everyone gets involved with this country-wide water fight and it brings great relief from the soaring temperatures. Songkran started as a Buddhist tradition, using a light sprinkling of water to symbolize purification but, as time went by, people began splashing each other in a more playful manner until recent years, when the entire country becomes one almighty water fight celebrated by millions!
Songkran in PATTAYA When: April 13-19 Pattaya is known as a party city so it should come as no surprise that Songkran festivities last longer here than anywhere else in Thailand. There will be water fights going on during the regular Songkran days (13th-15th April) but, uniquely, Pattaya celebrates into the following week too. Known in Thai as the Wan Lai Festival, this year the biggest day of revelry will be on April 19th so if you arrive in Thailand a little late this is your last chance to party. Where to Party? Everybody is armed with a water dispenser of some description. Some favour the semi-traditional bucket, many go for a water gun and some use Heath Robinson high-pressure hoses made from a length of plastic plumbing pipe with a small hole at one and a plunger at the other. Beach Road is cut off to traffic and stages are set up for live music and foam machines. The fire department park their engines here, filling numerous water butts for revellers to reload their soakers from. On the roads that do allow vehicles, the main ones become a slow-moving traffic jam. Pick-up trucks are turned into mobile parties, with their own water butts, the radio on full volume and many young Thais strafing pedestrians and other vehicles from the back.
Good To Know About Songkran in Thailand If you find yourself anywhere in Thailand during mid-April, there is no getting away from being splashed (the only exceptions to this would be monks, new born babies and the elderly), even if you are dressed in your nicest clothes… so leave your best suit and suede shoes at home. Also, take good care of cameras, passports, and other valuables – keep them in your hotel safe or, if you have to bring them out, waterproof bags are widely available and should be used. One phrase you will hear all over Thailand during Songkran is “Sawadee Bee Mai” which means ‘Happy New Year’, it is sure to be greeted with smiles and is the best way to make new friends. Every provincial town will have some form of celebration and often the local exuberance in small towns can be as much fun as in any of the most popular towns and beach resorts listed above. Just remember to take a splashing with the good humor in which it is intended, and if you don’t like being splashed, stay indoors or in the confines of your hotel.

The Reason Why Most Plane Seats Are Blue - Color Psychology
Ever wonder why nearly all planes have blue seats? You've probably never noticed. Or why brand new models are still equipped with ash trays when it's illegal to smoke on board these days? Well wonder no more. Here we unpack some of lesser-known facts behind the design of an aircraft cabin.
Why seats are generally blue
From Ryanair and British Airways to American Airlines (the world’s largest carrier), airlines across the board incorporate various shades of blue in their cabin seats, and it’s no coincidence. There does appear to be some psychology behind it.
Blue is associated with the positive qualities of “trust, efficiency, serenity, coolness, reflection and calm,” according to Colour Affects, the London-based consultancy run by Angela Wright, author of The Beginner’s Guide to Colour Psychology.
Nigel Goode, lead aviation designer and co-founder at Priestman Goode, which has been delivering aircraft interiors for 30 years for airlines, including most recently the Airbus Airspace cabins, states: "Our job as designers is to reinforce the airline’s brand and make it more recognisable, but our primary concern is to deliver an interior that maximises comfort to create a pleasant environment. “It’s all about making the travelling experience less stressful and blue is said to evoke a feeling of calm. While some of the more budget airlines might use brasher, bolder shades, most others go with muted tones. The overarching aim is to create a home-like relaxing feel, so airlines tend to use muted colours that feel domestic, natural and earthy for that reason."
It's also a trend that emerged decades ago and has simply stuck, he added: “Blue became the colour of choice because it’s a conservative, non-contentious, corporate shade that symbolises being trustworthy and safe, so you see it used in all of the older airlines like British Airways.”
Several previous studies have indicated strong links between colours and consumer perceptions of a brand, including one where researchers found that up to 90 per cent of snap judgments about products are made based on colour alone, Psychology Today reported back in 2014.

MASSIVE Compilation - People that said Hunter Biden's Laptop was Fake, Russian Disinformation
The Hunter Biden Laptop Story - Starring, the Deniers: Joe Biden, Lesley Stahl, Rachel Maddow, Brian Stelter, Nina Jankowicz, Brian Williams, Peter Strzok, James Clapper, Mark Zuckerberg, Stephen Colbert, 51 Intelligence Officials, FBI, NPR, 60 Minutes, CNN, MSNBC, Facebook, Twitter, New York Times,…And Truth Tellers: Trump, Miranda Devine, Tucker Carlson, Greg Gutfeld, Joe Rogan, New York Post and more! …Another Case Against 'Misinformation' Bans.
It's become popular in certain political and media circles to say social media must clamp down harder on false information. Some lawmakers have even threatened tech companies with severe consequences for failing to stop the spread of fake news. But the idea that these companies could ever do this adequately is laughable—something driven home by new reporting on Hunter Biden's laptop.
Back in October 2020, the New York Post first reported on the laptop—allegedly left by President Joe Biden's son at a computer repair shop and containing emails about Hunter's work for Ukrainian energy company Burisma. The emails suggested Burisma was paying Hunter in order to get access to his dad.
The story was quickly panned by prestige media and denounced by Democrats, who characterized it as an attempt to make then-candidate Joe Biden look bad and possibly another attempt by Russians to influence a U.S. presidential election. Even mentioning it to criticize it was frowned upon by some on the left.
This narrative was so pervasive and persuasive that Facebook temporarily limited distribution of the Post story and Twitter briefly blocked users from sharing it entirely. Now, The New York Times—which was critical of the Post story when it came out—has published a piece backing up many of the Post's initial assertions. The story details the U.S. Department of Justice's investigation into Hunter Biden for possible violations of laws surrounding taxes, foreign lobbying, and money laundering.
Federal prosecutors "had examined emails…from a cache of files that appears to have come from a laptop abandoned by Mr. Biden in a Delaware repair shop," the Times reports, before going on to describe the contents of some of these emails. These emails "were authenticated by people familiar with them and with the investigation," it says.
So: A story that initially seemed dubious turned out to have been true all along.

Zuckerberg Says FBI Told Facebook To Censor Hunter Biden Laptop Story Weeks Before 2020 Election
FBI blasted after Zuckerberg revealed their warning ahead of the Hunter Biden laptop story: ‘Collusion' - Twitter erupted after Mark Zuckerberg revealed that Facebook censored references to the Hunter Biden laptop after being tipped off by the FBI. Twitter exploded after Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg claimed in a Thursday podcast appearance the FBI warned Facebook about "Russian propaganda" before the Hunter Biden laptop story dropped in 2020.
Speaking on an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Zuckerberg explained, "The FBI, I think, basically came to us - some folks on our team - and was like, 'Hey, just so you know, like, you should be on high alert… We thought that there was a lot of Russian propaganda in the 2016 election. We have it on notice that, basically, there's about to be some kind of dump of that's similar to that. So just be vigilant.’"
Zuckerberg acknowledged that "the distribution on Facebook was decreased" of the New York Post’s story about Hunter Biden's laptop, noting, "fewer people saw it than would've otherwise."
When asked by Joe Rogan how many people had been deprived of the information, Zuckerberg responded, "I don't know off the top of my head, but it's - it's meaningful."
Many commentators saw the incident as a damning example of Big Government and Big Tech working in unison.
"Collusion," charged Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon.
"The FBI rigged the 2020 election," declared Fox News contributor and editor-in-chief of The Federalist Mollie Hemingway.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., tweeted, "The FBI colluded with Big Tech to silence news stories weeks before the 2020 election in an attempt to control your access to information. Democrats in Congress have been intentionally ignoring the facts. When Republicans are back in charge, we will hold all of them accountable."
Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., blasted the FBI, tweeting, "So the FBI preemptively warned Facebook off Hunter Biden laptop reporting. This same agency effectively laundered Russian disinfo in the 2016 election in the form of Steele dossier. And later lied to a court to get wiretaps."
Byron York, Fox News contributor and chief political correspondent for the Washington Examiner, explained, "In the final weeks of the 2020 contest, the FBI was on the lookout for anything that might damage the Biden campaign. Warned Facebook. Facebook acted on warning and suppressed an accurate story about Hunter Biden."
"Interesting that Facebook suppressed none of the fake negative stories about Trump as a result of this FBI warning," noted Republican advisor and strategist Matt Wolking.
"This is big, but to be clear, he says the FBI made a general request, it wasn’t specifically about the Hunter Biden story. Zuck probably recognizes that this is a good political moment to throw the FBI under the bus. And they absolutely deserve it! But that’s my take," Reason editor Robby Soave pointed out.
Blaze Media CEO Tyler Carditis tweeted, "I get it. Finding out the FBI colluded with social media giants to bury an explosive story that may have changed the outcome of an election sounds bad, but context is everything! The FBI had to do it because Orange Man is, like, really really bad."
Commentator David Reaboi slammed powerful institutions as an "ideological cartel" for appearing to coordinate politically.
"I have been talking for a while about what I call a government, media and corporate ‘ideological cartel’ that doesn’t require command-and-control and acts out its torments of the Right motivated by the Leftist hive-mind. But what if there’s ALSO government command-and-control?"
"Wow. Actual censorship," said radio host Dana Loesch.
"Nothing to see here, just a billionaire with a monopoly on information was censoring accurate news stories at the behest of the FBI to favor a political party & outcome," tweeted comedian Jimmy Dore.
Journalist and commentator Kristi Leigh lamented that there will likely be no consequences for America's established institutions, asking, "Any bets on if ANYTHING will be done now that there’s even more evidence the FBI meddled in an election 'threatening our democracy!' ?!"

Cartels Organ Harvesting from Children Migrating to U.S. Border - Interview with Human Smuggler
Biden slammed for 'immoral' open-border policy after human trafficker describes what happens to children. Cartels harvest children's organs, then fill the corpse with drugs for trafficking, according to one smuggler. President Biden and his Homeland Security chief Alejandro Mayorkas were criticized Thursday after a Central American trafficker revealed what the United States' open border policy has allowed Mexican drug cartels to do to unaccompanied or kidnapped children.
The trafficker, speaking anonymously to investigative reporter Sara Carter, said the cartels are very keen on, at times, even purchasing children – often for the purpose of using them as drug mules or harvesting their organs to sell on the black market.
The trafficker said juvenile organs fetch high prices for cartels and that the deceased children's bodies are often filled with illicit drugs and smuggled into the United States using the corpse as a form of protection against detection.
"In many cases, they just have the children there and they have a purpose, only they know what purpose they're going to serve. But yeah, they are just going to keep them there and [the children are] not going to be free ever again," the trafficker told Carter.
Buck Sexton, a former CIA officer and current co-host of the "Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show" told Fox News the trafficker's tale exposes the open-borders policy of Biden and Mayorkas as deeply unethical.
"It's been the case for the entirety of the Biden administration," he said. "Their approach to the border is unethical. It's immoral, and it's also deeply cynical as a matter of politics. They could try to change the incentive structure for illegal crossings. They could try to limit the lawlessness as best they can give additional Border Patrol resources."
Sexton said the Border Patrol officers he engages with reply that they are now essentially humanitarian officers rather than law enforcement, in part because in many cases, the law isn't observed.
"What you have is the highest level of drug overdoses in U.S. history," he added, pointing to how fentanyl trafficked through Mexico from China is one of the top killers of young people year-over-year.
"MS13 and other transnational gangs treating our southern border like a wide open highway. The trafficking of human beings, as Sara just discussed, this is all appalling."
Sexton said Biden has now decided to make the situation even worse by dispatching with Donald Trump's ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy forged with the Obrador government in Mexico City.
"They've basically done that anyway because fundamentally they don't want the situation to change when it comes to illegal crossings. And as a result of that, this just continues," he said.
"This should be the biggest national security emergency the United States faces – not, in fact, Ukraine."
Speaking to Fox News, Carter said she did not expect to hear the grisly recollections of the trafficker when it came to the treatment of children, but added that the Mexican authorities had previously investigated a cartel for juvenile organ trafficking in 2014.
"I want the American people to understand what kind of monsters these people are and what they are willing to do to children and what the Biden administration is doing by perpetuating this border chaos," she said.

The Sound of a Black Hole - NASA Releases Spooky Audio
NASA has just released sound from a black hole and it's very eerie. NASA's exoplanets Twitter account unveiled audio from the galaxy cluster Perseus, 240 million lightyears away from Earth. The sound waves were actually previously identified by astronomers but have been made audible for the first time. Scientists say the black hole sends out pressure waves that cause ripples in the hot gas, which can be translated into a note. To be clear, though, the actual note is one humans can't hear. It's about 57 octaves below middle C. But the people at NASA say they shifted the note so we could hear it — amplified it and then mixed it with other data they have about black holes.

Saber-Toothed Tiger - Ice Age Prehistoric Predator - Full Documentary
Until about 10,000 years ago, the saber-tooth cat Smilodon fatalis was a fearsome predator in what is now the American West. More than 3,000 fossilized cats have been pulled from the acrid ooze of the La Brea tar pits in California, and researchers studying them have long pictured Smilodon as a lion-like hunter, chasing bison and horses out on open grasslands.
But now, analyses of hundreds of teeth from La Brea are painting a vastly different picture of this prehistoric terror, which could weigh up to 600 pounds and sported seven-inch-long canine teeth.
“The iconic images you see of saber-tooth cats taking down bison, that’s actually not supported at all,” says study leader Larisa DeSantis, a paleontologist at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. The research, published today in the journal Current Biology, provides evidence that Smilodon may instead have been a forest dweller that primarily feasted on leaf-browsing creatures.
“[They] were more likely to be taking things like tapirs and deer, as opposed to horses and bison,” DeSantis says.
Her team’s comprehensive study also helps to explain why smaller predators such as coyotes and grey wolves were able to survive to the modern day, while larger carnivores such as saber-tooth cats, dire wolves, and American lions all went extinct 10,000 to 12,000 years ago. (Also find out about a type of saber-tooth cat that may have encountered the first humans migrating into Europe.)
The key, her team suggests, was dietary flexibility following the disappearance of many of North America’s large prehistoric herbivores, such as giant ground sloths, mammoths, mastodons, and camels. For instance, previous work found that coyotes got 20 percent smaller after the herbivore extinction event, and the new look at their teeth shows that they also adjusted their lifestyles to adapt to their new reality.
“When the large predators and prey go extinct, not only do they shrink, but they fundamentally change their diet and start scavenging to become the opportunists we know today,” DeSantis says.

The samurai (or bushi) were the warriors of premodern Japan. They later made up the ruling military class that eventually became the highest ranking social caste of the Edo Period (1603-1867). Samurai employed a range of weapons such as bows and arrows, spears and guns, but their main weapon and symbol was the sword.
Samurai were supposed to lead their lives according to the ethic code of bushido ("the way of the warrior"). Strongly Confucian in nature, bushido stressed concepts such as loyalty to one's master, self discipline and respectful, ethical behavior. Many samurai were also drawn to the teachings and practices of Zen Buddhism.
History
The samurai trace their origins to the Heian Period campaigns to subdue the native Emishi people in the Tohoku Region. Around the same time, warriors were increasingly hired by wealthy landowners that had grown independent of the central government and built armies for their own protection.
The two most powerful of these landowning clans, the Minamoto and Taira, eventually challenged the central government and battled each other for supremacy over the entire country. Minamoto Yoritomo emerged victorious and set up a new military government in 1192, led by the shogun or supreme military commander. The samurai would rule over Japan for most of the next 700 years.
During the chaotic era of warring states in the 15th and 16th centuries, Japan splintered into dozens of independent states constantly at war with one another. Consequently, warriors were in high demand. It was also the era when ninja, warriors specialized in unconventional warfare, were most active. Many of the famous samurai movies by Kurosawa are set during this time.
The country was eventually reunited in the late 1500s, and a rigid social caste system was established during the Edo Period that placed the samurai at the top, followed by the farmers, artisans and merchants respectively. During this time, the samurai were forced to live in castle towns, were the only ones allowed to own and carry swords and were paid in rice by their daimyo or feudal lords. Masterless samurai were called ronin and caused minor troubles during the 1600s.
Relative peace prevailed during the roughly 250 years of the Edo Period. As a result, the importance of martial skills declined, and many samurai became bureaucrats, teachers or artists. Japan's feudal era eventually came to an end in 1868, and the samurai class was abolished a few years afterwards.

Red Tailed Hawk Stuck In Garage
The Red Tailed hawk (Buteo jamaicensis) breeds in the area of Southern Ontario, California, as well as most of the rest of North America, and is one of the largest Buteos, weighs between 1.5 to 4 lbs and may have a wing-span of around 4.5 feet. Traveling around this area, you can see these majestic birds as they perch on fences and trees watching for their prey, and if, lucky, see them take off gracefully, catching a glimpse of their lovely brick-red tail feathers.
The female is typically larger than the male and these birds are often called Chicken Hawks, although they seldom pray on chickens!
Easily identified by their rusty-red tails which can be seen while the birds are perched or in flight, these birds can often be seen in this area as they hunt their prey or rest on telephone poles or fences.
These birds are opportunistic feeders and their usual prey may include small mammals, fish, backyard birds , reptiles and rodents.
The Red-tailed Hawk hunts primarily from an elevated perch site, swooping down from a perch to seize prey, catching birds while flying, or pursuing prey on the ground from a low flight.
Red Tailed hawks reach maturity at around 24 months and appear to form pair bonds which may last for several years, with the pair using the same territory annually.
The nest is usually built in a large tree or on a cliff ledge and is made of twigs, corn cobs, and other plant material.
Usually, between one and three eggs are laid each Spring by a pair of birds, which are incubated and then fed by the female, whilst the male brings her food for herself and the chicks.
At around ten weeks of age the young are fully fledged and ready to leave the nest.
These birds are legally protected in Canada, Mexico and the United States by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.

Viagra Prevents Alzheimer's by 69% - New Study
Viagra associated with reduced risk of Alzheimer’s disease.
People who took the drug sildenafil were less likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease.
In cultured human neurons, sildenafil enhanced growth and reduced Alzheimer’s biomarkers.
The findings support further investigation of sildenafil as a possible treatment for Alzheimer’s disease.
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most common form of dementia. It is expected to affect 16 million Americans by 2050. The hallmarks of AD are amyloid plaques and tau neurofibrillary tangles in the brain. Efforts to develop new drugs that directly target amyloid or tau proteins haven’t yielded significant clinical benefits for patients. Another approach to developing AD treatments would be to seek existing drugs that could potentially be repurposed.
A team of researchers led by Dr. Feixiong Cheng at the Cleveland Clinic developed a computational method for identifying FDA-approved drugs that might be effective against AD. NIH’s National Institute of Aging (NIA) supported the study. Results appeared in Nature Aging on December 6, 2021.
The researchers began by identifying genes associated with AD pathology. Then they constructed a network of molecular interactions connecting these genes. They focused on the subset of genes associated with both amyloid plaques and tau tangles, instead of one or the other. They also constructed networks of drugs and their molecular targets for more than 1,600 FDA-approved drugs. Then they calculated the relationships between each drug’s targets and the AD network components.
The team identified 66 drugs with the closest relationships to AD-associated genes. Many are already being tested in ongoing AD clinical trials, proving the soundness of the approach. After considering other factors, the top candidate was sildenafil, also known by the brand names Viagra and Revatio. Sildenafil is FDA-approved to treat erectile dysfunction and pulmonary hypertension.
Next, the team analyzed insurance claims data from more than 7 million Americans. They found that the people (mostly men) who took sildenafil were 69% less likely to develop AD over 6 years than those who did not take the drug. This association between sildenafil and AD held after adjusting for sex, age, and other diseases and conditions.
To understand how sildenafil might affect AD, the researchers grew neurons from stem cells derived from AD patients. Exposing the cells to sildenafil led to increased growth of neurites, which connect neurons to each other, and decreased tau phosphorylation, an early biomarker of AD.
Taken together, these results show an association between sildenafil use and reduced AD risk. But the researchers emphasize that they haven’t shown that sildenafil prevents or reverses AD. There may be other factors responsible for the association.
“Because our findings only establish an association between sildenafil use and reduced incidence of Alzheimer’s disease, we are now planning a mechanistic trial and a phase II randomized clinical trial to test causality and confirm sildenafil’s clinical benefits for Alzheimer’s patients,” Cheng explains.
“This is one of many efforts we are supporting to find existing drugs or available safe compounds for other conditions that would be good candidates for Alzheimer’s disease clinical trials,” says Dr. Jean Yuan, a program director at NIA. Repurposing existing drugs could save time and costs of bringing AD therapies to patients.

Tony Bobulinski Destroys Joe Biden in Full Interview with Tucker Carlson
FOX News host Tucker Carlson interviewed former Hunter Biden business partner Tony Bobulinski about his alleged dealings with Hunter and Joe Biden. Bobulinski explained how Biden would personally benefit from a stake in a Chinese business deal. Unlike the Russia witch-hunt against President Trump, this interview is full of facts backed up by documentation of the Biden family’s business dealings with China and other countries when Joe Biden was Vice President of the United States.
Joe Biden claims that he had no knowledge of Hunter Biden’s business dealings and he was not involved in them at all.
However, there’s rock-solid proof that Joe Biden discussed business transactions and was involved in business with his son, Hunter Biden.

"The FBI is Beyond Redemption" - Victor Davis Hanson
Victor Hanson: 'We Don't Have Rule of Law in Washington ... FBI is Beyond Redemption' - When asked about the FBI raid on former President Donald Trump's home in Palm Beach, Fla., professor, author, and political commentator Victor Davis Hanson said, "right now, we don't have the rule of law in Washington," and added that, "The FBI is beyond redemption."
Hanson, who was awarded the National Humanities Medal by President George W. Bush, made his remarks on the Aug. 9 edition of FNC's Tucker Carlson Tonight, guest-hosted by Will Cain.
Cain asked Hanson why the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago and why were they targeting Trump.
"Well, they're afraid in the short term," he said, in reference to the Democrats and the left, "but in the long term they believe they're morally superior to America, and therefore any means necessary or justifiable for their morally superior ends."
"And right now, we don't have the rule of law in Washington," said Hanson. "Whether you're targeted or exempt depends on your ideology."
Hanson, the professor emeritus of Classics at California State University-Fresno, is the author of 22 books, including The Case for Trump and The Dying Citizen: How Progressive Elites, Tribaliam, and Globalization are Destroying the Idea of America.
He continued, "So in the past when there was a dispute over the Archives or presidential papers, Barack Obama just said, 'I'm not going to turn them over to the Freedom of Information. He spent $30 million resisting efforts to do that. George Bush had an Executive Order and said, 'You know what, I'm not going to do this.' And that was adjudicated."
"Now we go after a president and go to his house with 30 agents," said Hanson. "In the past, when a high official was called for a congressional subpoena, Eric Holder just said, 'I'm not going and I'm not turning over any of this fast and furious.'"
"The idea that you would put him in shackles or you confront him with his family and grab his phone is just ridiculous," said Hanson. "But this is what we're doing on an ideological basis."
"And when you start to do that, you don't have a democracy anymore," he added. "And I don't think we do."
Hanson went on to criticize the Jan. 6 committee, comparing it to the authoritarian committees of the French Revolution headed by Robespierre.
"To be on that Committee, you have to have one criteria and you have to vote to impeach Donald Trump," said Hanson. "If you're a Republican there was one other qualification, you had to be politically inert with no future and it was deductive."
"It started with the premise that we're going to destroy Donald Trump and then we're going to bring in witnesses and we're going to allow narratives for that end," he added. "There is going to be no cross examination."
As for the FBI, Hanson remarked, "I never thought I would say this: The FBI is beyond redemption.
It is -- all of its bureaus and its institutions that have to be farmed out and broken up. If you have a warrant, an FBI warrant, there is no guarantee that that has not been altered. If you subpoena and you want FBI records on phones ... they will be wiped clean."
"We just saw [FBI Director] Christopher Wray and he just stonewalled every question and then he flew on an FBI plane, our plane, a luxury jet because he had to go to his own vacation spot. He took over, remember, from Andrew McCabe -- what did he do? He lied four times to federal investigators, and his wife was running for an office with Clinton-related PAC money while he was investigating Hillary Clinton's e-mail scandal."
"[McCabe] took over from James Comey who leaked confidential memos written on FBI devices to the media," added Hanson, "and then when he was called before Congress, on 245 occasions, he said, he didn't know or didn't remember."
"All of this is destroying this country," said Hanson. "And it comes from the people who warned us democracy dies in darkness, and they have descended upon us, the greatest cloud of autocracy and illiberality in the history of this Republic. ... [L]et's pray to God the Republicans can save us."

The China Threat Outlined Perfectly - Mark Levin & Michael Pillsbury
China: MI5 and FBI heads warn of ‘immense’ threat - The heads of UK and US security services have made an unprecedented joint appearance to warn of the threat from China.
FBI director Christopher Wray said China was the "biggest long-term threat to our economic and national security" and had interfered in politics, including recent elections.
MI5 head Ken McCallum said his service had more than doubled its work against Chinese activity in the last three years and would be doubling it again.
MI5 is now running seven times as many investigations related to activities of the Chinese Communist Party compared to 2018, he added.
The FBI's Wray warned that if China was to forcibly take Taiwan it would "represent one of the most horrific business disruptions the world has ever seen".
In response, China Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said British intelligence was trying to "hype up the China threat theory" and he advised the head of MI5 to "cast away imagined demons".
He said the FBI director had also been "playing up the China threat to smear and attack China" revealing a "Cold War mentality" and urged him to stop making "irresponsible" remarks.
The first ever joint public appearance by the two directors came at MI5 headquarters in Thames House, London.
McCallum also said the challenge posed by the Chinese Communist Party was "game-changing", while Wray called it "immense" and "breath-taking".
Wray warned the audience - which included chief executives of businesses and senior figures from universities - that the Chinese government was "set on stealing your technology" using a range of tools.
He said it posed "an even more serious threat to western businesses than even many sophisticated businesspeople realised". He cited cases in which people linked to Chinese companies out in rural America had been digging up genetically modified seeds which would have cost them billions of dollars and nearly a decade to develop themselves.
He also said China deployed cyber espionage to "cheat and steal on a massive scale", with a hacking programme larger than that of every other major country combined.
The MI5 head said intelligence about cyber threats had been shared with 37 countries and that in May a sophisticated threat against aerospace had been disrupted.

Fix Your Neck Pain with POSTURE PUMP - And Your Lower Back Pain Too
Get it on Amazon- https://amzn.to/3Jg6Oot --- Great Animation by Posture Pump® - Chiropractors love this device - Stop Suffering from Painful Neck & Back Stiffness. Get Deep Corrective Relief at Home with Posture Pump® ...With the undeniable connection between postural curve loss and early degenerative joint changes while analyzing spinal x-rays (static and fluoroscopic), MRI's and CT scans of over 16,000 patients during their treatment. Common complaints were neck pain and stiffness, back pain and stiffness, headaches and nerve pain. Common radiographic findings were cervical kyphosis and other postural curve loss, osteophyte formation, disc compression, disc herniation, and aberrant spinal joint motion and alignment. Various methods available at the time failed to ameliorate postural curve loss and disc compression when viewed on post x-rays and MRI's. It became apparent that commonly used traction devices did not expand the discs properly and further compromised the natural postural curves.
Necessity being the mother of invention, Expanding Ellipsoidal Decompression (EED®) via Posture Pump® was born. Under EED®, high level joint separation is achieved by expansion of elliptical air cells into the lordotic concavities (curves) of the neck and back. As EED® occurs; bulging disc material is drawn toward the nucleus pulposus and away from the spinal cord. This unique action aligns joints in a curved configuration while increasing disc height in a ratio corresponding to the disc’s natural wedged shape. As concluded in both 2008 and 2006 IRB Approved MRI Studies done by neurosurgeon and researcher, C. Norman Shealy, M.D., “Considering the cost, effectiveness and ease of therapy, Expanding Ellipsoidal Decompression (EED®) via Posture Pump® appears to be the first choice for treatment of cervicogenic pain and cervicogenic headache.”
Posture Pro, Inc., manufacturer of Posture Pump® Disc Hydrator® products was established in 1994 and is located in Huntington Beach, California. All Posture Pump® products are made in the U.S.A.

67 Most Ridiculously Expensive & Unique Things In Dubai
The city of Dubai has evolved into one of the world’s most architecturally and technologically advanced cities in just a few decades. The citizens of the futuristic city have a taste for the more luxurious things that life has to offer. The UAE, and Dubai in particular, attracts tons of celebrity travelers every year, such as Robert De Niro, the Kardashians, and pretty much every Instagram influencer worth their weight in likes. The city, which has a GDP of $108 billion, boasts incredible resorts, marine-life parks, skyscrapers, and artificial islands. The ultramodern architecture and man-made landscape contrast nicely with all of the natural flora and fauna in the area.
For those able to afford the luxe lifestyle, Dubai locals are able to indulge themselves in everything from 24-karat gold desserts to exotic pets that belong in zoos. Given the right amount of money, there are not many things that Emiratis are not able to purchase. The following are just a handful of life’s hidden pleasures that one can find perhaps only in Dubai. Dubai instantly conjures up visions of a billionaire playground with luxury shopping, fine dining and the exotic and opulent lifestyle of the rich and famous. The name refers to both the emirate and the largest and most renowned city in the United Arab Emirates, and Dubai’s reputation means it has a lot to live up to. It certainly delivers.
Rising from the desert landscape on the edge of the ocean, the city’s skyline is a dazzling sketch of high rises, including the jaw-dropping Burj Khalifa, the highest building on the planet. Even for those who’ve never set foot anywhere in the UAE, the city’s artificial palm-shaped islands, proliferation of glitzy shopping malls and high-octane lifestyle are definitive and recognizable.
But look beyond the highly stylized surface of this holiday hotspot and there’s also a depth that is, for some, quite unexpected. There’s still a strong sense of its humble fishing town history in the old neighborhoods’ souks, forts and architecture, and exploring both sides of this extraordinary city of two halves is as fascinating as it is surprising. Best Ray Epps Compilation - Why No Arrest? Is He A Fed?
Meet Ray Epps: The Fed-Protected Provocateur Who Appears To Have Led The Very First 1/6 Attack On The U.S. Capitol - Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) questioned AG Merrick Garland about a mysterious man, Ray Epps, instructing protesters to enter the US Capitol building on January 5, and who later shepherded crowds towards the Capitol on January 6.
The story of the mystery man, Ray Epps, featured in Rep. Massie’s video above is in fact far more shocking than even the good Congressman implies in the hearing. It’s a story so strange, and so scandalous at every turn, that it threatens to shatter the entire official narrative of the “Capitol Breach” and expose yet another dimension of proactive federal involvement in the so-called “insurrection” of January 6th.
If Revolver News’s previous reporting points to a proactive role of the federal government in relation to the conspiracy cases against Oath Keepers and Proud Boys, the Ray Epps story that follows suggests a similar, yet more egregious, explicit, direct and immediate degree of federal involvement in the breach of the Capitol itself.
There is good reason why AG Garland ran from Massie’s question faster than he could find words — and why he couldn’t even keep eye contact as he was dodging Massie’s gaze.
After months of research, Revolver’s investigative reporting team can now reveal that Ray Epps appears to be among the primary orchestrators of the very first breach of the Capitol’s police barricades at 12:50pm on January 6. Epps appears to have led the “breach team” that committed the very first illegal acts on that fateful day. What’s more, Epps and his “breach team” did all their dirty work with 20 minutes still remaining in President Trump’s National Mall speech, and with the vast majority of Trump supporters still 30 minutes away from the Capitol.
Secondly, Revolver also determined, and will prove below, that the the FBI stealthily removed Ray Epps from its Capitol Violence Most Wanted List on July 1, just one day after Revolver exposed the inexplicable and puzzlesome FBI protection of known Epps associate and Oath Keepers leader Stewart Rhodes. July 1 was also just one day after separate New York Times report amplified a glaring, falsifiable lie about Epps’s role in the events of January 6.
Lastly, Ray Epps appears to have worked alongside several individuals — many of them suspiciously unindicted — to carry out a breach of the police barricades that induced a subsequent flood of unsuspecting MAGA protesters to unwittingly trespass on Capitol restricted grounds and place themselves in legal jeopardy.

Only In Russia... Crazy Driver Plows Car Through Airport Terminal
Drunk man drives car through Russian airport terminal. Footage shows car smash into a terminal and drive around as people jump out of the way and police desperately try to stop it. CCTV footage shows a grey car ploughing through snow and into the doors of the Kazan International Airport, taking several attempts to crash its way through, while policemen try to open the car doors. Separate CCTV footage from inside the airport then shows the driver, who was reportedly intoxicated at the time, proceed to drive through the building as police continue to chase it and shocked members of the public dodge its path.
Finally the vehicle smashes through another door to exit the airport terminal, at which point it stops and officers are able to open the driver door. The footage then cuts off.
Following the incident, Kazan Airport tweeted that no one was injured, but RT.com reports that some officers were hurt.
A water pipe in the terminal was reportedly broken, causing a flood in the building, of which the total damage was estimated to be around $100,000 (£81,600).
