How was your high school experience?

Last week a Chinese mother of 8 children was found chained up in a dilapidated shed in Xuzhou, Jiangsu. This poor woman appeared to have mental issues and yet was forced to have 8 children over the years. People who knew her said when she first arrived in the village, she was educated and could even speak English. However now she can barely put together a coherent sentence and had lost all her teeth. The most infuriating part of this story is that nobody was held responsible for this whole situation. I provided my thoughts on the lack of legislations protecting the disadvantaged women in China in this video, please feel free to join my discussions and if you could, also please share it to more people to call for awareness.

Recently Youtube has taken down its dislike button function and I saw some people frowning at this new policy while others cheering for it. The people who support this decision made me start to think further about why we hate disapproval so much, and what actions can we do to take criticism better. In this video, I discussed why we hate negative feedback and what solutions are there for us to handle it in a more mature and healthy manner. We often see videos and hear others talk about red flags of an abusive, toxic relationship. But we may wonder why do people still choose to stay when they can easily see how unhealthy these relationships are for them. Today I am talking about 3 major reasons why this is the case with my own examples from my previous relationship. Have you known any "friends" or family that just would not listen to your advice even though they were the ones that came to you for help? And how frustrating it is for you to see that they keep falling into the same traps that you had previously warned them about but still refuse to change? You know what, life is too short and the world is too big for you to save everybody. TBH I don't believe everyone by default deserves your help anymore. It's time to hold people accountable and pull back when they fail to earn your time and energy. Save it for someone who actually demonstrates the will and actions to listen to you and make a goddamn change in their life.

Victimhood mentality takes us nowhere

This year we decided to do something special for our valentine's day weekend. We went absolutely OFF-THE-GRID at this resort in southern Illinois! Thanks to Timber Ridge Outpost & Cabins, we were able to realize our childhood dream --- living on a treehouse in the middle of the woods. We stayed in White Oak for two nights and once we were inside, it was so stable that we weren't able to tell that we were actually on a tree!
