Plitvice Lakes National Park 🌲 ❄️ Croatia 🇭🇷
With its exceptional natural beauty, this area has always attracted nature lovers, and already on 8 April 1949, it was proclaimed Croatia’s first national park. The process of tufa formation, which results in the building of the tufa, or travertine, barriers and resulted in the creation of the lakes, is a unique universal value, for which the Plitvice Lakes were internationally recognised on 26 October 1979 with their inscription onto the UNESCO World Heritage List. The waters flowing over the limestone and chalk have, over thousands of years, deposited travertine barriers, creating natural dams which in turn have created a series of beautiful lakes, caves and waterfalls. These geological processes continue today. The forests in the park are home to bears, wolves and many rare bird species. The Plitvice lakes are a great place to visit also in the winter season, even if you have already visited it during one of the 3 other seasons I can highly recommend a visit also at the winter season. The best and most spectacular sight is of course when the park is covered in snow, which happens almost every winter. If there have been heavy snowfalls it can happen that the park is closed, but this happens rarely. Other times it happens that only the lower part of the parks is open, which still makes it worthwhile visiting the park. On the website of the national park you can find current opening hours, as well as information about parking and which entrance to use. So in case of snow make sure to check.

WOW! Infinity Suites, Greece 🇬🇷 Beautiful
Santorini erupts with charm. A volcano embraced by the Aegean, this island-phenomenon in the Cyclades gives its visitors a mythical experience.
Santorini – also known as Thera in Greek – is the island immortalized by poets and painters, thanks to its celebrated light, multi-coloured cliffs and picture-perfect sunsets. On this island all senses are magnified, a product of its many contrasts: black earth against whitewashed homes clinging to the cliffside, or wild volcanic sculptures against sleek Cycladic lines. Red and black rocks create a wild landscape around the crater on Nea Kameni, a small island at the centre of the caldera. From the top of a volcano with a 2.5 million-year history, you have an incredible view of the caldera. The myth that Santorini is the ancient city of Atlantis, which submerged over 9,500 years ago, comes to life before your eyes. If you don’t have a boat, you can easily rent one or hop on a day cruise at Athinio, Gialos or Ammoudi, and take a tour around the caldera. Discover the churches built into caves and the old stairs used for mining excavations along the cliffs. On the small island of Palia Kameni, if you dare, you can dive into the thermal waters that form a volcanic spa.Holidays in the villages of the caldera are one of a kind, with extraordinary cave-like houses grouped together in volcanic soil. Enjoy a leisurely stroll from Fira to Firostefani and Imerovigli. The more adventurous can challenge themselves by taking the path to Oia, passing the Prophet Elijah’s Church, the Chapel of the Cross and the Black Mountain, which is iridescent at sunset, all of which makes a walk that defies description. Santorini is one of the most luxurious destinations in Greece. Plunge into one of the infinity pools that flirt with the edge of the cliff, the Aegean laid out in front of you in all its glory. Relax on a sun bed, refreshing cocktail in your hand. Enjoy a massage in your suite and a dip in your jacuzzi.
Candle-lit terraces glimmer when the sun dips behind the volcano. An intimate dinner for two, paired with a fine wine from a world-renowned volcanic vineyard and views of the caldera. Holidays at Santorini’s luxurious hotels and restaurants will certainly bring your dreams to life.

Cliffhanger! 😬😓😱 Alberta, Canada 🇨🇦
It looks so dangerous challenge. Fall from from 10 feet straight jump and squirm like a squirrel, gainer from 114 like that's what you were born to do.
Alberta is the westernmost of Canada’s three Prairie provinces. Often known as Canada's "energy province,” Alberta is home to over 4 million people, and growing quickly. The bulk of this population resides in Alberta’s two largest cities: Edmonton, which serves as the provincial capital, and Calgary. Each have a population of over one million residents.
A beautiful lake in the Rocky Mountains near Banff, Alberta, Canada
Alberta is a world leader in the oil and gas industry, but is also home to a vibrant and fast-growing industrial and service economy. Thanks to the opportunities provided by this economic growth, Alberta has become one of the top destinations for immigration to Canada. Alberta is arguably Canada’s most prosperous province today, and is recognized world-wide for its high standard of living. Lake Louise is one of the most photographed lakes in Canada, and for good reason! About an hour east of the town of Banff you’ll find yourself at this vibrant blue water lake, which comes about as close to a postcard picture as you can get. Rent a canoe at the Lake Louise Boathouse, or hit the trails and take in the views from above. One of the most popular (and rewarding) hikes is the moderate “tea house hike” from the lake’s shores to Lake Agnes Tea House hidden in the mountains over the smaller – yet still beautiful – Lake Agnes.
Banff has the historical charm of a small mountain town, with all the amenities you need to have a fun, lively stay. Authentic saloons with mechanical bull riding are a plus for visitors looking for a taste of the local culture, as are the many farm-fresh restaurants and cool shops downtown. While in town, make sure to get outside. Take the gondola for stunning views of the city, or ice skate at Banff Community High School rink downtown. Banff is also known for their awesome Upper Hot Springs and National Park’s Cave and Basin, so be sure to check them out.

Breathtaking views in Saint Lucia 🇱🇨 ☀️
Fairest isle of all the earth! A sensorial experience that will feed your spirit with flavours she has gathered from the earth, the sea and her people. Born of Volcanic origin, the Island of Saint Lucia offers a burst of natural splendour with every turn. She whispers a constellation of emotions spicing up each day with mysterious flavours and will colour your mind with a pallet full of soul. More than 7,000 individual islands, including 13 sovereign nations and 12 dependencies, make up the sun-soaked Caribbean – so picking just one is a tricky task. Some suit beachgoers, while others are made for adventure. There are islands for history buffs, naturalists, night owls and lovers of luxury. St Lucia offers a little of everything, making it the perfect option for first-time visitors to the region. Few coastlines have been photographed more than St Lucia’s spectacular south-west corner. The Pitons, a pair of jagged volcanic peaks that planes must skirt around to touch down at the island’s international airport, are instantly recognisable – but up close they look unreal, like Hollywood’s CGI wizards have been let loose. Try to find accommodation nearby – it’s not a view you’ll grow tired of. Every hotelier on the island must cast envious eyes at Sugar Beach. Backed by dense forest and with its own strip of perfect white sand (Anse Piton), it nestles against Petit Piton - with an almost sheer rock wall soaring from the property’s doorstep to the 739-metre summit - and boasts unbeatable views of its big brother, Gros Piton.
Despite the island’s volcanic origins, the sand on its beaches is golden. Anse Piton is a contender for the best in the entire Caribbean – never mind that they’ve cheated somewhat by importing fine white grains from Guyana. It is also, like all St Lucia’s beaches, open to the public (so you needn’t be a guest at Sugar Beach to enjoy the view).
There are more gorgeous beaches along the west coast, such as Anse Chastanet (home to a hotel of the same name) and Anse Cochon. Even further north, Marigot Bay is a picturesque natural harbour that attracts posh yachts and has a small isthmus of sand, while mile-long Reduit Beach, beside the tourist town of Rodney Bay, is the biggest, and most popular, on the whole island. Inspired by Blue Planet II? The reef at Anse Piton, close to the surface so ideal for snorkelling, is home to a wealth of watery wonders. Expect to see sinister trumpetfish hoping to ambush tiddlers, shoals of little squid, slippery moray eels lurking within the coral, gormless looking parrotfish, and scores of curious needlefish. On the opposite side of Petit Piton, and just north of the island’s former capital, Soufriere, Scuba St Lucia leads dives to a dozen spots on the south-west coast. Highlights include the wreck of the freighter Lesleen M, which sits 30 feet below the surface; night dives, when crustaceans and octopuses come out to play; and trips to Turtle Reef, where hawksbill and green turtles go to graze on seagrass. At 798 metres, it’s hardly colossal (England’s highest peak, Scafell Pike, reaches 978 metres), but the heat and humidity make the hike up Gros Piton a proper challenge – expect sore muscles and a John Wayne-style gait the next morning. Hire a local guide from the quaint little village at its base, bring plenty of water, watch your footing on the steep muddy slopes, and keep your fingers crossed for a clear day – cloud cover has a habit of spoiling the view.

Dad Life ❤
Dads are always love their children, specially their little princess, they manage to make time for their baby girl even though dads are always busy with their work. A father's job is not to teach his daughter how to be a lady. It's to teach her how a lady should be treated. A father-daughter relationship is one of the most beautiful relationships that God has created. A father can play dress up with his daughter and at the same time play a super hero to protect her from all evil. He is the one who nurtures and guides her through every defining moment of her life. With that, I leave you with what we hope are the best father daughter quotes around and perhaps some of them will even help guide your own behavior to be the best father that you know how to be!

Beresheet - Israel | Gazelle Feeding Time
This is such a great feed 🔥 The gazelle is grouped in the same family as cattle, goats and sheep. It resembles the deer and antelope. There are about 19 species of gazelles that exist in the world. Small gazelles include the Thomson’s gazelles and the Speke’s gazelle. These gazelles weigh 12-75 kg and are between 51 and 109 cm tall. On the other hand, the largest gazelle is the Dama gazelle. It weighs 40-75 kg and has a height of 137-168 cm. Gazelles are light and swift which allows them to run away from their predators. Gazelles have small heads, large eyes and ears, and narrow muzzles. They also have a strong sense of hearing, sight, and smell which they use to make up for their vulnerability in their wild habitats. Other species of gazelles include Grant’s gazelle, Mhorr gazelle, Edmi gazelle, Cuvier’s gazelle, Goitered gazelle, Chinkara, Dorcas gazelle, and Soemmerring’s gazelle. The most popular species of the gazelle is the Thomson’s gazelle which is mainly found in African savannas. Gazelles are usually tan or reddish brown in color and they have distinctly curved and ringed horns. The male gazelles have long horns that are marked by 20 rings and curved backwards. The female gazelles may either have small and short horns or no horns at all. Amongst all species of gazelles, the Edmi gazelle horns grow the longest and can reach 35.5 cm long. The male gazelles are referred to as “bucks” while the female gazelles are known as “does.” Gazelles are social animals that live in groups composed of as many as 700 members. Sometimes, females and males live in separate groups. For instance, the female Thomson's gazelles live in groups of 10-30 with their young. As soon as the young become of age, the males join a group called a bachelor's herd. Gazelles have a gestation period of 6 months, after which they give birth to one or two fawns. They give birth twice per year and their breeding season occurs during the rainy season of the year which ensures the calves have plenty of water to drink. Due to the high amount of gazelles dying from predators, giving birth twice per year is essential to the animals. It also brings balance to the ecosystem because a higher number of herbivores compared to carnivores is needed. Gazelles have a life span of 10-15 years.

Who ordered this round?! 🍸🍸🍸
A Bartender's performance in Martini Bar London. He showed a spectacular skill on the way he served cocktail for people. Bartenders, also known as bar staff or barpersons, serve drinks and snacks in pubs, clubs, hotels and other licensed premises. While bar work can be enjoyable and varied, hours tend to be long and often include evenings and weekends. Rates of pay vary greatly, averaging around £15,000 a year. Bartenders need strong communication skills, numeracy and physical stamina. A job as a bartender can provide a flexible part-time or temporary income or be a first rung on the career ladder within the hospitality industry. While premises are open for business, bartenders deal directly with customers serving drinks, snacks and sometimes meals. They also work behind the scenes to keep service and preparation areas clean and well-stocked. Responsibilities include: Serving drinks and snacks. Collecting payment from customers. Preparing snacks and simple meals. Serving hot and cold food. Clearing and cleaning tables. Washing glasses. Emptying ashtrays. Clearing and cleaning the bar. Maintaining pumps and changing barrels. Restocking shelves. Preventing and dealing with problems between customers. Organising and running events. You normally have to be over 18 to work in a bar, but can sometimes start at 16 if you undertake a relevant apprenticeship. Experience and personal qualities are generally considered more important than formal qualifications. Employers often look for applicants with previous experience of bar work. General customer service experience, such as work in a shop or cafe, can also be an advantage. Previous experience of handling cash will demonstrate that you are trustworthy and capable of operating a till. Applicants with no experience are often offered on-the-job training. Many people start careers in bartending through work in local or family businesses or at university or college bars.

Love is in the Air: A Wedding Suspended 400 Feet Above a Canyon
Wedding is the special day of out life, it only come once. Because of this once of the life time ceremony so people wanna make an unforgettable moment by creating a remarkable stage for their wedding. Love is in the air… literally! The moment we saw Kim + Ryan’s incredible *suspended* wedding, we wanted to know all the details, and were so excited. As professional slackliners, K+R specialize in highlining, which is a sport similar to tightrope walking… only hundreds of feet in the air (don’t worry — they wear harnesses!). The two fell in love in Moab, Utah at a slacklining festival, and happened to get engaged there a few years later, so it only felt right to say their vows there, too! They worked closely with Andy Lewis (AKA Sketchy), Ryan’s best man, to have their ceremony on Andy’s invention: the Spacenet. Oh, and did we mention that the Spacenet is 400 feet in the air — over the canyon?! The big day was actually spread out amongst three days, to accommodate the fickle weather — a first look portrait session in the desert, a dress rehearsal on the net, and the actual wedding day. Filled with circus-like flair, their wedding was an absolute show-stopping extravaganza filled with base jumpers leaping off the sides of the canyon with 5,000 flower petals stuffer in their parachutes, aerialists hanging from silks below the net, and one glamorous Galia Lahav dress! Here’s Kim with more about the inspiration behind the big day: The Fruit Bowl Highline Area in Moab has a lot of significance to us. Three years ago, Ryan’s idea of a second date was to take me on a two week road trip to Yosemite, Vegas, Zion, and Arches, with a slacklining festival in Moab as the main destination. (A big road trip with someone you barely know can turn out really well or go horribly wrong… We were taking a big risk, but it definitely paid off!) We now consider this festival our anniversary. This festival is the only time of year we get to see ALL of our friends from all over the world (Europe, South America, Australia, Iceland, and Canada) all in one place, so it made sense for us to get engaged there and get married there. Not to mention, this may be one of the only destination weddings that was actually convenient for 99.9% of its guests!

OMG! This blue-eyed husky is the cutest thing I've ever seen 😍😍
I think my heart just melted looking at this husky puppy. I love huskies, they just look so majestic and glamourous all the time, even as puppies. I would definitely have no problem owning a husky. Bred as sled dogs, Huskies aren't the kind of pet that'll be happy snoozing all day on the couch. They have energy to burn, and if they're not given the right outlet, they'll find their own way to get the vigorous exercise and stimulation they need. A bored Husky with pent-up energy will turn to destructive and troublesome behaviors. If you want to own a high-energy dog, you'll need to commit to daily walks, runs, and social outings. Leaving them to entertain themselves in the yard won't cut it. If you think about it though, the Husky breed may make you into a more active person, benefitting everyone involved...Nearly all dog owners have to deal with shedding, but Huskies take it to another level. They're built for cold climates, and they have both an undercoat and topcoat. Huskies usually "blow" their coats in the spring and fall. This means the undercoat sheds excessively as the new topcoat grows in. It lasts for about three weeks, and the result is enough dog hair on the floor, furniture, your clothes, and mixed in with your food to make it look like you own an entire sled team. If you don't want to drown in a fluffy mountain of your dog's fur, you'll need to commit to daily grooming and vacuuming. There's no doubting that Huskies can be loyal and loving to their owners, but their independent nature holds them back from being the lovable lap-dogs many people want. They're notorious for being stubborn, and they'd much rather do things their way than obediently abide by house rules. This can make training difficult, but not training a Husky is out of the question. Husky owners need to be patient, determined, and consistent.

This beach is one of a kind! 🚢 🇬🇷 ☀️
Naviago Beach is located on the north western shores of Zakynthos and the tiny cove is a stunning mix of white sand and crystal clear turquoise waters surrounded by towering white cliffs with an intriguing rusty shipwreck dominating its sands. The wreck, a boat named Panagiotis, was rumoured to have been attempting to smuggle cigarettes and got stranded in the shallow waters of Naviago while being pursued by the Greek Navy. The captain of the ship recently refuted these claims and blames bad weather and mechanical failure for the shipwreck. Either way, the contrast of the rusted ship against the stunning natural beauty of Navagio has made it a tourist magnet. The cliff top viewpoint above Naviago is almost an hour by road from Zakynthos and can be reached by car, a powerful quad bike and a beach or island tour. The route is marked with signs for Naviago and the nearby Anafonitria Monastery which is en route. The viewpoint, a suspended platform surrounded by railings, is located beside the car park and visitors centre and it is often packed with visitors in search of a selfie and the iconic Naviago shipwreck photo. Be careful! It’s possible to follow a walking path around the cliff side to capture the beach and the shipwreck from different vantage points but, if you decide to do this, please be incredibly careful – it’s a sheer drop to the beach below and there have been recent deaths of tourists doing the same. We were terrified to move even an inch without checking our footing as there are no railings to protect you from falling over the edge.

What a life on Positano 🇮🇹 ☀️ 🥂
Dramatic, deluxe and more than a little dashing, Positano is the Amalfi Coast's front-cover splash, with vertiginous houses tumbling down to the sea in a cascade of sun-bleached peach, pink and terracotta. No less photo-worthy are its steep streets and steps, flanked by wisteria-draped hotels, smart restaurants and fashionable retailers. Look beyond the facades and the fashion, however, and you will find reassuring signs of everyday reality: crumbling stucco, streaked paintwork and even, on occasion, a faint whiff of drains. There’s still a southern-Italian holiday feel about the place, with sunbathers eating pizza on the beach, kids pestering parents for gelato and chic signore from Milan browsing the boutiques. The fashionista history runs deep – moda Positano was born here in the '60s and the town was the first in Italy to import bikinis from France.
The Chiesa of Santa Maria Assunta is one of the most iconic churches of Amalfi Coast. The name of the town itself is related to the icon of the Virgin still hosted inside the church. It was the XII century, a boat was carrying a painting representing a Byzantine icon of the Virgin Mary. The boat got stalled right in the bay in front of Positano and, according to the legend, Mary herself called the sailors to land (“Posa!”), expression that gave to Positano its name. The painting is nowadays exhibited inside the Church and is one of the most famous tourist attractions of Positano, especially among the devotees of Mary. Many people, though, don’t believe in the legend and think that it’s more likely that the picture was brought to the town by the Benedictine monks who lived in the area. The church, believe in the legend or not, is definitely worth a visit!
It’s nice to get lost in Positano. To fully embrace the beauty of the town it’s probably better to walk without a precise destination. You will be able to enjoy the streets, the little shops, the restaurants, the monuments, the churches, the beaches. There is nothing better than letting yourself enjoy Positano without a precise schedule, living your trip as a vacation and not like a too organised trip.

Island is the most beautiful place! 🇮🇸
This small and charming waterfall is situated near the impressive Mount Kirkjufell at Grundarfjörður on the Snæfellsnes peninsula. For photographers, it is particularly scenic when you capture the serenity of the water against the dramatic mountain in the background. It best experienced in the light of the midnight sun in midsummer, but also fascinating when caked in ice come midwinter.
As you stand before the fall you‘ll see the pyramid- shaped mount Kirkjufell towering above, one of the most scenic and beautiful in Iceland. This combination is photogenic to say the least, offering a stunning view and chances of some great pictures. The clear and splendid water of the Kirkjufellsfoss is greatly complemented by the majestic mount Kirkjufell and for the ultimate experience, it‘s best to capture the scenery during Summer where you can enjoy the natural lighting of the midnight sun and in Winter when the sky may be illuminated by the Aurora Borealis, a.k.a. The Northern Lights, the brilliant and multicoloured light display gracing the arctic sky, lending an extra touch of otherworldliness to the amazing scene.

Dog Drops Ball On Street To Force Strangers To Play With Him And It Works 100% Of The Time!" 😂❤️
Dog wanna play catch and fetch with strangers. He throws the ball down all the time when he recognizes people cross the way.
Fetch is a game usually played with a dog. An object, such as a stick or ball, is thrown a moderate distance away from the animal, and it is the animal's objective to grab and retrieve it. ... In rare instances, cats, especially younger cats, have been known to engage in fetch behavior. If your dog is of the “sit and stare” variety, your first goal is to teach him to chase after the object you want him to fetch. Generally speaking, there are three ways to do this, depending upon what motivates your pup: you can offer him affection, treats, or play for retrieving the chosen object. Whichever motivator you use, the process is basically the same. Encourage your dog to go after the item you want him to fetch. When he grabs it, reward him with his motivator of choice, then take the object away. Repeat this a few times, then toss the object a short distance. When he goes for it, immediately reward him again. Repeat the process until you can reliably toss the object and get him to chase it. Want to encourage her to give chase even more? Try holding his back after throwing the toy. He’ll naturally tug against you, especially if you offer verbal encouragement while still holding his back. Once you finally let go, he’ll be after the object like a rocket.

Dogs Wear Wizard Of Oz Halloween Costumes
They're off to see the wizard 😂🐶
Playing “dress up” with your dog needs to be handled on an individual basis. Every dog is different, and some dogs that are fine wearing costumes one day might change their minds the next. ... But even if your dog doesn't need the extra warmth, he might still enjoy wearing a costume. Not all dogs like wearing clothes. If this is the case and your dog is truly upset or stressed by it, don't do it. However, many dogs just need a little coaxing and positive reinforcement. This means no yelling, getting frustrated, forcing a dog to wear clothes, or in any way getting upset.

Christmas In New York Looks Magical

From tree lighting ceremonies to magical shop window displays, to ice skating to Christmas tunes and Santaland, there are endless magical things to do in New York at Christmas. Take a trip to the New York North Pole this year at Macy's' iconic Santaland. Perfect for the whole family, the 13,000-square-foot holiday display and indoor wonderland is located inside the Herald Square Macy's at 151 West 34th Street. Inside, you'll be met with caroling snowmen, prancing reindeer, a whimsical array of decor, and of course, Santa himself. An inevitable side effect of wandering around New York City at Christmas? Chilly hands and a serious cocoa craving. Adorable Dog Pops Head Up From Bag
"SUPRISE" 😍🐶...this puppy come out of this bag, so adorable
The Bulldog, also known as the English Bulldog or British Bulldog, is a medium-sized breed of dog. It is a muscular, hefty dog with a wrinkled face and a distinctive pushed-in nose. The American Kennel Club, The Kennel Club, and the United Kennel Club oversee breeding records. Laughter, love and a face everyone adores ensure the enduring popularity of the Bulldog. He's a gentle family companion today, but he was originally bred to fight bulls for sport – a past that, combined with his stalwart devotion, has made the breed the mascot of a number of colleges as well as the United States Marine Corps. No breed is more admired for the qualities of loyalty and determination that the Bulldog represents. Few breeds are as easily recognized as the Bulldog, with his wrinkled mug, distinctive underbite and Churchillian jowls. Sometimes referred to as the English or British Bulldog, he's a short, sturdy dog with a bow-legged gait, weighing between 40 and 60 pounds. If all you're talking about is personality and temperament, the Bulldog is just about perfect. He loves children and is very easy to train as a family pet. He's an endless source of amusement, clever and very affectionate. He’s also an attention magnet everywhere he goes. The Bulldog may be perfect in spirit, but in the flesh, he’s a different story. These dogs are intolerant of warm weather, and may die if overheated. Too much exercise or stress can make it difficult for them to breathe. Without exception, Bulldogs must live indoors, and need air conditioning in all but the mildest summer weather. Most Bulldogs are born by C-section. Because breeding them is expensive, the puppies are, too. Love is an expensive proposition when you own a Bulldog.
In general, the Bulldog is an easy-care breed. His exercise needs are manageable for even the most dedicated couch potato, and he doesn’t tend to be a picky eater. He has a short coat that doesn’t require any fancy grooming, but he does have some special needs when it comes to skin care. Last but not least, it’s important for him to live in air-conditioned comfort, not only to prevent heatstroke but also because he loves his family and wants to be with them. He’s not a dog who can or should live outdoors.

Breakfast with Giraffe Manor, Kenya 🦒
Imagine waking up in Nairobi, Kenya. You stroll down the stairs of a boutique 1930s hotel, modeled on a Scottish hunting lodge, to have breakfast—with giraffes. Yes, the giraffes actually stick their heads through the windows hoping for a few bites of cereal. Giraffe Manor is an iconic African hotel set on 12 acres of private land, as well as a free-roaming sanctuary for endangered Rothschild giraffes with 140 acres of indigenous forest. The history of Giraffe Manor dates back to 1932 when African safaris were first in vogue with European tourists. The Safari Collection has owned this boutique hotel since 2009, and gives it this description: "With its stately façade, elegant interior, verdant green gardens, sunny terraces and delightful courtyards, guests often remark that it's like walking into the film Out of Africa." One of its six suites is even named after the book's author, Karen Blixen.
But also, there are giraffes — everywhere. In the early 1970s, the manor became involved in giraffe conservation by establishing the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife, a charitable organization to help support the wild Rothschild giraffes. The sanctuary is still active today, and the proceeds of the hotel go towards helping this endangered giraffe species. So while you're tearing through your bucket list and enjoying a one-of-a-kind breakfast with giraffes, you're actually aiding the conservation of an endangered species. Not a bad deal, eh? Celebrity guests have included Mick Jagger, Brooke Shields, Marlon Brando, Johnny Carson, and Walter Cronkite. One of the warthogs on the estate was even named Cronkite in his honor.

Designed by Jaume Plensa and built by Krueck + Sexton Architects, Crown Fountain uses numerous design elements including water, light, and glass to create a unique meeting point and reflection space. Though not originally constructed as such, the Fountain has become an interactive summer urban oasis for families and visitors who take refuge in the space during Chicago’s humid summers. The two identical 50-foot towers project video images from a broad social spectrum of Chicago citizens, a reference to the traditional use of gargoyles in fountains, where faces of mythological beings were sculptured with open mouths to allow water, a symbol of life, to flow out. The collection of faces provides tribute to Chicagoans and was taken from a cross-section of 1,000 residents representing Chicago’s vast demographics in terms of age, gender and ethnicity. Jaume Plensa is an award-winning Spanish artist and sculptor with a significant amount of work set in the context of public sculpture. His work has been installed in a variety of countries including Spain, France, Japan, the United Kingdom, Korea, Germany, Canada, and the United States.
Krueck + Sexton Architects is a Chicago-based, internationally-recognized architecture firm founded by Ron Krueck and Mark Sexton. Tom Jacobs was named the third principal in 2011. During their 30-year history, they have completed a wide variety of projects that have received numerous national and regional award
